I ordered the Stanwick extendable dining table. The delivery was delayed, but Barker and Stonehouse kindly refunded the delivery cost as a gesture of goodwill which was gratefully received. The delivery team were great and put the table together very quickly. The extending mechanism is really good and easy to use. I've had the table for 3 months now and unfortunately, it marks really easy and now looks quite bad! I followed the care instructions and mopped up spillages straight away etc, but nevertheless, it is now stained and has to be permanently covered with a tablecloth. I contacted the company for advice but their reply was that it is classed as 'accidental damage' and suggested I contact their Homeserve team for a quote for cosmetic repair. This is very disappointing after only owning the table for 3 months. I therefore can't recommend this table and it's a shame that I was only offered to pay for restoration rather than the advice I asked for!

Both chairs are only “ok”. They are definitely not pink and very definitely brown. I look at them at different times of the day to see if pink comes through - but only brown. The velvet on edge of the arms of both chairs have been so squished that the nap will not come up so it looks like a cream flash around the edges of the arms. Also not the comfiest chairs I have ever owned. They’re ok if you just want a brown velvet chair to look at, but not to sit in for any length of time. If a bog standard brown velvet (not pink!) chair is what you are after, that you don’t want to sit in, in comfort, I’d go elsewhere for the same quality and standard, for less money.The delivery men were fantastic - very polite and professional.

Not the experience i have been used to . poor service in store long delays in delivery, promises of compensation not honoured offers of loans of furniture until my order arrived, nothing resembling my order, just an overall unpleasant experience eg this review addressed to my surname and spelled incorrectly.

I placed 3 orders with Barker & Stonehouse since the start of 2022. Unfortunately, there are been issues with each order as a result of errors made when the order was placed with the manufacturer (one sofa instead of 2 ordered in January) and currently awaiting a replacement sofa which is expected to be delivered in October. All of the orders have had delays and I would strongly urge B&S to be more transparent with delivery timescales. For example, I ordered wardrobes and bedside tables which were at the handlers warehouse at the end of June but weren't delivered, after a complaint, until 24/8.

Doesn’t come with the hooks for the back of the mirror. Ridiculously you have to get that separate. And comes in crumbly polystyrene. It’s a shame as the mirror itself is lovely. Just be prepared that you will have to do more than usual to make it work.

Service was good but unfortunately we have taken delivery of two damaged tables and are now awaiting a third table. Delivery were in experienced around very apparent problems with the table. Aftercare services were helpful but we are disappointed with the quality of the product.

I ordered beautiful bedroom furniture from B&S it was in the sale at the time, and got told the date it would arrive, but then the night before it was due I got told there was water damage to the chest of drawers just a small one on the top and asking me did I still want it and see what I thought, I could either get compensation If I wanted to keep it or if I decided I wanted a perfect one then I would have to wait a while,or my full money back, and until my replacement would arrive I could of kept it, I was disappointed to say the least, however I told them to still bring it and if it wasn’t too bad I would use it but wanted a replacement. The next morning before delivery they rang to tell me that one of the bedside tables was missing and as soon as it came in they would deliver it. I was speechless to be fair, I just didn’t expect this from a company like B&S, I had to accept as what could I do my bedroom was all prepared to take this furniture, I was so looking forward to receiving and it was very very disappointing. The bedside table and new chest of drawers took another 4 or so weeks, and yes I absolutely love it and am happy now, but such a shame I had to go through that, they were to be fair very apologetic, it just puts me off going again a little bit now

Product is nice but delivery was without any sort of plastic bags or boxes, my product was very exposed and it wasn't perfect at time of arrival.

Product was ok but needed technician to come to alaign all doors as were very uneven. Courier company was absolutely awful. Damaged first unit at their end and second was delivered in haphazard way.

I ordered 2 shelves, one came with a black frame and the other was grey , I rang and explained I wanted 2 grey ones , they collected the black and delivered another black one, I rang again, they again collected the black one, and once again they delivered another black one. I asked why they didn’t open the box and have a look before delivery, but was told they wouldn’t be able to sell it if it had been opened. So does mean the three opened black ones will not get sold now 🤔 Unbelievable 😡

In store advice and service is 5 star the team are a credit to the company!! however service falls dramatically with aftercare, long delays in delivery and much time wasted trying to chase orders with staff who just don’t seem to have a reign on what’s going on, disappointing.

Very happy with the quality of the product. The only issue was a long delivery date which was expected however this was subject to even longer delays after the product had been paid in full.

Table is beautiful but the top of scratches very easily. Would not recommend as a daily table to use.

We recently took delivery of a damaged coffee table which was returned last month via your courier. Since then, we have not received any communication concerning the item for example that you have received it and that we wi be refunded.

Purchase was a complete nightmare with delays and lack of communication. One sofa was ripped. However at this point the customer service was really efficient and smooth. Hopefully B&S is restored it’s reputation
