“Ordered an wardrobe 10 months ago, they deliveries it after 3 months of waiting, with demanded and missing parts. Then the sales people passed us over to their useless customer service, who ordered the replacement parts, waited another 3 months, they claimed replacements damaged during the delivery, so need to order again. Went to talk to the sales, they took no responsibility, but says customer service is the only channel to resolve the issue. Ok, waited another 3 months , the replacement parts delivered, but it was the wrong part. Wooo, how this company operates is a mystery. Now asking for refund, they do not give any compensation, no reply of refund, just waiting . I hope this is the worst buying experience of my life. And please avoid yours”

“Only once i felt that the post sale experience was not the best, but then, with the rest of my purchases, excellent on site support, customer service and impressive product quality, they simply got me in love of them as well. All my living room is full of their products, and i would buy even more. A complete pleasure.”

“Dreadful aftercare. Damaged flooring whilst delivering furniture. I would have done a better job than the delivery drivers. I would not recommend and I have now lost trust in the company. I certainly won’t but from them again.”

“The worst company I have ever had contact with. 9 months without the correct bedside tables to match wardrobes and failed deliveries (not turning up/ damaged replacements). The product was bad the customer service was on a whole other level. Broken promises, being hung up on just to name a few. It’s been a terrible experience and one I hope one I never come across again. Safe to say we will never order from barker and stone house again.”

“Beautiful product that looks stunning. My only issue is that the dimensions given are not accurate. It?s stated that it had a width and depth of 26cm when it?s 20cn deep and 22cm wide. It doesn?t spoil and otherwise beautiful product that we're very happy with but I think product information needs to be accurate when buying unseen online.”

“I went in to the Newcastle store to have a look at wardrobes and the guy there was really helpful, especially when I realised I'd left my tape measure behind. I then looked around elsewhere, but really the ideal one was at Barker and Stonehouse and I ended up getting it online. The only reservation I have is that it would be useful to know earlier than the day before whether you're getting a morning or afternoon delivery so you can take a half day off instead of all day waiting in. When the delivery did come though, the driver and his mate were friendly and helpful and took the boxes up the fairly awkward stairs to the room. Great service!”

“If it was possible to give 0 they would get it.My leather reclining sofa has failed to function almost since the day it was bought.Now on my second 5 month wait for parts,part has now been misplaced and no one seems to be able to shed any light on where it is. Staff at store do not answer the telephone and do not bother to call back if you leave a message. Customer service poor. Goods not fit for purpose.”

“Very happy with the item I bought. The delivery men carried it in carefully and positioned it where I asked. I would just like to add that although the item was in stock (when I tracked my order), no-one contacted me to arrange delivery. I had to contact Barker & Stonehouse myself. Delivery was finally arranged, but it was outside the 2 week delivery window quoted on their website.”

“Excellent products and customer service. Slight damage to one product instantly offered to refund 50% of cost or replace. Best customer service about I would say. In an age of computers answering the phone and no individual store numbers you can get through to a person at the shop you ordered your stuff at. Goes without saying the furniture is of the highest quality too. Excellent company.”
