“Recommended by a friend who is lucky to live locally to a store. I ordered online but had to pay ?40 delivery. Still worked out cheaper than using a shop closer. Chairs very good quality and comfortable. Was a little concerned as not seen the product but I am really pleased as they were very good value”

“I was initially a little reluctant to buy from B&S after reading the reviews on trustpilot but I was pleasantly surprised about how easy it was. We visited the Nottingham store and found some furniture we liked, however didn't want to order until we'd measured up at home. There was no pushy sales guys, we were left to browse around mostly undisturbed which we prefer. At home, I ordered a sofa and table set to be collected from store (?50 delivery charge we felt was too expensive). It was delivered to store within about a week, and was relatively easy to put together (much easier than Ikea!) and so far we've had no problems with it. The quality is excellent, we're really pleased.”

“My product arrived for collection within a few days of ordering and I am really pleased with it. Only gripe is that I rang to ask if it was flat packed as I was concerned about getting it in the car. I was assured by customer service that all click and collect items are flat pack. when I arrived to pick it up...it was not and I was told that TV stands never are. Luckily I managed to get it in the car.. just.”

“Love barker and stonehouse. Very helpful staff. Delivery guys always take care of furniture and take away packaging. Also they take furniture to exactly where you want it in your home and assemble it. Recently ordered two settees which we love however took quite sometime for 2nd one to arrive”

“I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased items off them. Same issues as all the others. On my first order I bought dining chairs, even though the website said in stock they werent! I then had to wait 2 months for delivery. A week before delivery was due I received an email saying there was going to be a further delay. After writing a snotty email I then got contacted to say they email was an error. After giving them the benefit of the doubt I then ordered 2 coffee tables. On the day of delivery I received a call to say that the leg on the small table had fallen off while being loaded onto the truck, and stock wouldn’t be available for 2 months!!!!! Stupidly I stuck with it, have received the table today and found s fault with one of the legs!!! Stock is not available now for a month and a half!! They then said they would offer me £20 GW, which is just rude. They would rather lose me as a customer, spend the money on covering half the country to collect them, then give me a sensible offers. To make matters worse the customer service team can’t arrange collection and refunds for online purchases so I now have to wait for them to call me, and apparently they can only contact them internally by form!!! They are a joke, don’t waste your time, I should have listened to the alarm bells!!”

“Very very pleased with all of the customer service. After many weeks of looking for wardrobes for our new bedroom, we finally decided on a pair from the York outlet. The service was flawless, but unfortunately the wardrobes were too large to negotiate the turn from the new landing in to the bedroom. The delivery team was professional and friendly but ultimately unable to overcome this obstacle. They put us straight in touch with the store which we visited later the same day who refunded the whole purchase amount without a quibble. We hope the chest of drawers are able to make the turn.”

“Excellent service. I ordered some bedside tables on line. I usually go in to look first however I didn?t have chance this time. I have had numerous furniture before, so I was not concern regarding the quality. It said 2 weeks delivery time, they rang the next day and they were delivered. I quality is excellent and service very good”

“I have bought a number of furniture items from Barker and Stonehouse recently. Not cheap but good quality and assembled for you. Staff at depot and delivery really helpful. There were a couple of glitches (damaged/wrong size goods) but all now sorted and replacements supplied.”
