Brought a lamp that was supposed to be in stock, chased and chased and then was told it would not be delivered for another 2 months. Cancelled order by email and complained. No apology, no further communication that the item had been officially cancelled rubbish service.

The chair arrived in the truck with no padding or cardboard or plastic around them are all chipped!! Not good enough Driver did not care!! Waited 5 month I think it was for them and this is how they turned up!

Parts missing from my sofa and still waiting ! I have called over 10 times with promises that someone will call back but they dont ! Sofa ordered in January delivered in May but cushions still missing

I ordered a vase, paid and waited ages. Eventually I called you tobe told utem was out of stock. So I got a refund. Please don't sell things you cannot deliver.

wrong item delivered in 2 parts and one part didn't show who parcel was from. by the time it was returned the items i ordered were out of stock.

I ordered 2 dining chairs, one arrived with scratch marks on the legs and the stud at the bottom of one of the legs has never fitted properly. When I ordered the chairs I was 8 months pregnant, on my own and had just moved into a new home so sending them back was far too much hassle especially as it had taken so long to have them delivered.

Order cancelled - extortionate delivery charge. No dates available on a weekend to collect. No details provided to collect. Customer service staff dreadful. Forced to cancel via PayPal

Very poor delivery (5 months late), damaged base cushion supplied. (Still awaiting replacement) Base cushions on the setee have little resistance.

Waited 7 months for the furniture to be delivered and when it arrived it was faulted. We said that if they would exchange the doors of the wardrobe, which were too short, that would be fine with us, but apparently this was not an option. Customer service was terrible. We were given the option of either getting 20% of the price or have someone come to fix them at “show room” standard. For them to ask paying £1200 on broken furniture or full price for show-room quality is shameless. We ended up returning it! You would expect better quality and service from barker and stonehouse. This experience put me off and will most certainly not buy anything else from them.

Lovely desk…BUT…as usual customer service is B&S’s weak point. Delivery driver blatantly couldn’t be bothered delivering the item, judging by his tone when he called me when trying to find our house. They got it up the stairs and then proclaimed it wouldn’t fit through the door to the room it was going in. So he just left it upright on the landing. Not at all helpful when you have a 14-month old and a pregnant wife. In some scenarios this would be downright dangerous. It took me all of 10 minutes to work out how to get the item through the doorway without dismantling it.

Wouldn’t even give 1 star but sadly that’s the lowest. Ordered item and said 1 week delivery 2 weeks later still no sign of order or anything to mention a delay and emailed customer service with no response- called 3 times with a vague need to check with warehouse and no real reason why. 4 weeks after placing order it did arrive but communication was poor.

Purchased sofas and armchair Jan 2022, one 'in stock', other 2 made to order with 19 week lead time. Come 19weeks, further delay for 2 weeks due to supplier issues. Then at time of delivery, B&S found that the sofa 'in stock' was no longer in stock and would therefore need to be made to order, a further 13 weeks delay.

Very poor service. I tried to contact them many times by email but never had a reply. I then managed to call them and got the order cancelled. they never issued the refund, and when I called them weeks later they simply said that they needed me on the phone to do it, but they wouldn't reach out.

Long delays in delivery - well beyond quoted dates. Legs damaged when delivered. Informed barker & storehouse who said they would replace them. Still no sign after 6 months and much chasing. For a premium store this has been very poor service
