“A level above most online retailers and several above Oak Furniture lounge etc. You get what you pay for and to be honest I find Barker and Stonehouse very good value. The delivery people were also very courteous. I highly recommend them.”

“we were looking for new wardrobes, preferably with sliding doors and saw the quattra on the website. we went to look at them in the Hull showroom and were impressed with the quality, so went back home to order online. They were delivered 2 weeks earlier than the initial 8 week quote and we were well informed at every stage, the delivery team arrived bang in the middle of the 2 hour window we were quoted. overall I very please with both the wardrobe and the service and would be happy to order in the future or recommend to others”

“Found the drawers on the internet - with adequate product information and delivery details. Visited Knaresborough branch to see it 'in the flesh'. Ordered online. Confirmations and delivery alerts worked fine. Delivery people careful & helpful. Would happily use again.”

“I bought this lovely HUGE red clock from Barker and Stonehouse on line after seeing it from my car window when I passed the store! Just had to have it! The ordering was simple, the delivery stage was easily tracked and the parcel (very heavy!) arrived in perfect condition on time. The clock now sits beautifully in my kitchen, and I'm sure everyone who looks through my kitchen window can see it too as it's so big and red!”

“I love to walk around Barker and Stonehouse and mentally make a note of what I want to buy. I do visit other shops but always come back to them. My latest purchase was a mirror for the hall and it looks fabulous !! Solid oak and exactly what I wanted, at a very competitive price. My next purchase is a clock for the kitchen.... can't wait !!!”

“I ordered a 3 seater 2 seater and an armchair However decided an extra 2 seater would suit the space for the armchair Baker and Stonehouse staf were very understanding and sorted out the order straight away The delivery service was very good too”

“We ordered a dining table less than a month before Christmas and within 30 mins I received a call to say there had been a sale on the week before so they were going to refund ?110. 2 weeks later on the delivery day I got a call to say the van had broken down and then a short while later a call from the delivery team themselves, they were both incredibly polite, cheery and apologetic. When the table arrived they remembered we had a sleeping baby (even our friends/family forget that!) so knocked softly and spoke quietly, took their shoes off. Never had such nice delivery men! Needless to say the table was as advertised and we are very pleased with it. Bring on Christmas Dinner!”

“Although one of the items arrived slightly damaged in transit, the delivery team immediately notified me of this, photographed the damaged item and customer service telephoned me with a couple of hours to arrange to rectify the problem. The way a company solves problems is often the best measure of their service and in this instance Barker & Stonehouse were exemplary! Thank you”

“I recently purchased a very handsome stag statue. I ordered this on a Monday, received it on the Tuesday however this is when you should ALWAYS check the measurements when purchasing off the internet! The Stag was bigger than my dog, she thought that she was being replaced! I reluctantly had to contact your customer service department to see what could be done about returning this, almost life sized, ornament. The lady that helped me was superb and organised collection for me as I would have struggled lifting the box far less getting it to a post office! I did have to laugh at myself even managing to get the stag back into the box, all of the white plastic popcorn packaging had to be poured onto the floor and it looked like Christmas had come early, a large bowl had to be used to pour this all back into the box. The stag was collect 2 days later and I have to say that your service from ordering to delivery to collection was absolutely SUPERB... I will definitely be shopping with you again. In our correspondence I did attach a picture of my little West Highland Terrier getting to know the afore mentioned Stag! Thank you very much for making the whole experience exceptional.”

“Fantastic product. Only disappointment was the dictated delivery day and time. Was forced to take day off work as was told 13th Nov was the only day the deliveries were being done in my area and they could not give me an alternative until they knew when there was more orders from the area. Was only able to give me all day time slot too. On the day delivery men were great and very efficient but more choice of delivery to suit me would have been appreciated.”
