Our short break to Iceland was organised very efficiently by Baltic Travel Company. We had vouchers to exchange for transport, hotel, excursions etc. Communication before the trip was excellent, with different options explored. The trip included a good mix of activities and free time to explore independently. I would recommend Baltic for this sort of trip - this was the second time I have used them.

We have just returned from "Winter Wonderland - multi activity holiday" in Finland and had a fantastic time. The hotel staff looked after us really well & the birthday cake for my husband was not forgotten. The activities were really enjoyable, the highlight for us both being the husky safari. The cross country skiing was timetabled for the second morning which gave us the opportunity to do more of it as the week progressed. The food in the hotel on the first three nights was really good and the buffet on the next three was good, the difference being that due to it being a buffet, some of the food was warm rather than hot. The staff even went to the trouble of making us sandwiches on the morning of our departure as we were going to miss breakfast. The hotel was clean and very comfortable, the perfect base for our activity holiday. Everything was seamlessly organised from star to finish with no delays or hiccups along the way. Thanks again for your help in organising a very enjoyable holiday Annette McGuirk

We have recently travelled to Iceland on a short break booked through Baltic Travel Company. We were very impressed with the service we received from Daina and her colleagues at Baltic Travel. From our initial enquiry, through to our communications after our return, everything was dealt with promptly and efficiently. The tickets turned up earlier than the 2 weeks before departure. Our package included tours in Iceland with Reykjavik Excursions and these were very well organised, ran on time and had no problems even though we had to re-book some of them due to 'bad' weather. Unfortunately, we were unable to go on the Northern Lights tour as each evening the weather conditions were unsuitable, however, on our return we contacted Baltic Travel and they refunded the cost of this tour with no quibble and again very quickly. We chose to stay in the Best Western, a budget hotel. The hotel was clean and comfortable and very well located to explore Reykjavik. We only have one negative about the hotel that the TV in our room did not work. The reception staff at the hotel tried to help and offered for us to switch rooms but as we only had a few days this didn't seem like a good option. This issue was not resolved but that is down to the Hotel Management and really didn't cause too much distress. We would highly reccomend using Baltic Travel Company for any tours to the Baltic area and should we decide to holiday in these areas in the future we would certainly be looking at their packages. Thank you Daina and all at Baltic Travel for a very well organised holiday.

Hi Lena, Hope you are all well! Got back from our absolutely unbelievable trip this morning.Just want to say a big thanks for sorting everything out,we literally couldn't have asked for more. It has to be the most incredible place I have visited...the hotel was fantastic and having the freedom with a car was perfect.Food was amazing and the sights were like nothing I could have imagined...although we had a bit of a scare when we got caught in a snow blizzard on top of a mountain!!!We are still alive so can't have been that bad.Ha. Got some great photos as well so will send some over with the Greenland ones when I get a chance. I think it ranks number 1 on my list and I've been to some quite cool places.I will not hesitate to go back and hopefully see the southern islands and mykines maybe in the summer as although we did quite a bit,I still feel like we only touched the surface. People are seriously missing out!!! The Baltic Travel Company is awesome. I'm sure I will be in touch soon. Tom P

Our Northern Lights short break to Tromso, Norway with Baltic Travel Company in March 2016 was just awesome, marvellous and out of this world. All the experiences will go down our memory lane for the rest of our lives. We were very lucky to see the full panaromic views of the Northern Lights at two different places. Our guide Denise was just exceptional and so was the bus driver Gert. We still keep on thinking about it and looking at the photos taken. We also experienced and adventured Dog Sledding and wow what a whale of a time my wife and I had. Everyone was so helpful, polite, courteous and went out of their way to ensure we had great time and holiday. We would also like to thank Daina Kontrima of Baltic Travel Company from the kernel of our hearts for planning and organising such a breath taking holiday. She has always been polite, helpful, understanding and very efficient. We are pleased to have booked this and previous holiday with her. For both of our Norway holidays we did not face any problems and all was planned perfectly. We highly recommend Baltic Travel Company for your Norway and other holidays. For our two holidays to Norway all went perfect. Avinash and Usha Thakrar

Cannot thank Daina enough. Our trip was very well organised, Daina did all the paperwork, posted boarding passes and everything else to me. The tours in Iceland ran like clockwork. Hotel Fron is very good, excellent location, nice rooms, good food in the restaurant and helpful staff. Definitely recommend using this company, it made everything so easy and relaxing.

Firstly we want to thank you for arranging everything so fantastically for us, we couldn’t fault your service as everything was made so easy for us. You arranged our trip to Finland for us and have to say everything was taken care of which made it such a brilliant holiday. It took quite a bit of time for us to make up our mind on where to go and what activities we wanted to do but none of this was too much trouble for you and you arranged it all so carefully. You expertise and knowledge of the areas was a great help and we have no hesitation whatsoever in strongly recommending your services, certainly the best travel company we have ever used. Thanks Gary Henderson Gary

I've rated Baltic Travel 'Very Good' but would have liked to rate them excellent. Planning the trip, including some extras that we requested, couldn't have been easier, with immediate responses to emails and extremely courteous and friendly advice on the phone. All the arrangements during the trip were perfect, hotels well chosen for comfort and location, the itinerary well laid-out with lots of advice about airport transfers, buses, taxis, etc. The price too was excellent - given how expensive Norway is, our holiday was extraordinary value for money. A lovely and very personal touch was that Inga even emailed us after her own visit to North Norway with a restaurant recommendation which looked unsuitable as I'm vegetarian. She contacted the restaurant, checked that they could provide vegetarian food, and made a booking for us. It was the best restaurant in Svolvaer which, without Inga's help, we probably wouldn't have tried. It's quite rare not to be able to think of a single problem, before or during a holiday, but I can't, so Baltic Travel is firmly at the top of my list and the next time can't come soon enough.

Dear Inga I want to say a big thank you for your impeccable organisation of our Norway trip. From our first contact with you to arriving back in London, all the arrangements went like clockwork. The hotels you chose for us were excellent with comfortable rooms, charming staff and great locations. The Clarion in Tromso is delightful, and they certainly look after guests in a very special way, especially the waffles in the afternoon! In Bergen , the Bristol was great too, and being just two minutes from the airport bus stop, five minutes from the waterfront and a very easy walk to the railway station, the location was perfect. Our cabin in Svolvaer was really cosy with gorgeous views over the water. We expected a one bedroom cabin, but we had two, so plenty of space to make ourselves at home. Hurtigruten was a good experience too and we were extremely lucky to reach Trollfjord just as the sun was setting. It was one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen. And of course a very special thank you for checking out the availability of vegetarian food at Borsen Spiseri on our second Lofoten night and for arranging for us to eat there. When we checked in, we booked a table for that night too, as we didn't feel like walking back over the bridge to look for an alternative. What a beautiful restaurant it is, with its old wood, candlelight, delightful staff and delicious food. They cooked me two excellent veggie dinners. Lofoten Lights was a great choice for our tours. Claudia and Maurizio are a charming couple, so friendly and very knowledgeable about their adopted home. They took us to a perfect vantage point for the Aurora, which started just as we got out of the car, lasted for over an hour, and was still on the go when we got back to Svolvaer, so they stopped to take even more photographs, which I now have - I've attached a couple for you to see. They were just as delighted as we were to see such a wonderful Aurora. In addition to the holiday you booked for us, we also went on a Fjord boat trip from Tromso, to the concert in the Arctic Cathedral, and we took the Norway in a Nutshell tour from Bergen. We visited the Polar Museum in Tromso, the Second World War Museum in Lofoten and the Hanseatic Museum in Bergen - all were extremely interesting and gave us a good insight into Norway's history. Despite packing all those things in, it still felt a relaxing trip, and what made everything so easy was that you had prepared us a great itinerary and taken care of so many details that many travel companies do not. All we had to do was enjoy ourselves. Most special moments: for me, the sunset over Trollfjord; for Andy, the Northern Lights. As for the future, I'm sure we'll be booking with you again and I'm already recommending you to friends! Irene

Brilliant holiday, all put together exactly to fit our needs. Our 2 teenage/grown up kids (16 and 18) loved it as much as us. Super advice from Diana and the team - these girls know their stuff ! And they all can help when the other is on the phone or not there. Local guided tours were by smaller independent outfits where possible - so when possible we had a people carrier, not massive tour bus - stops when you want, not when the schedule says so - home made salmon sandwiches, not pre paid large volume buffets. And expert advice of people who clearly love their country. Thank you so much , you made our new year something very special. Would recommend you to anyone !

A great trip to Kirkenes and the snow hotel. The travel arrangements went smoothly. The Thon hotel was a great base and the evening meal on our first night was fantastic. We didn't get a sea view, but we spent little time in the room and the public areas of the hotel more than compensated. The activities were a true experience, the best for us was the King Crab safari, although the description about being taken by local fisherman to cut the ice, fish and return to their house contained a lot of poetic license! The crabs were delicious. We did the 5 hour husky ride and 4 hour snow mobile trip. They were fun, but some may wish to try the shorter 2 hour activies. 5 hours in the bottom of a sled is quite a long time! The snow hotel was interesting! We weren't cold but neither of us slept much, trussed up in thermal underwear, hats, balaclavas and sleeping bags. We've done it, and it is ticked off our list now! However we did see the Northern Lights which for us was the real highlight of the trip.

Baltic staff (specifically in our case Daina) went the extra mile to get the excursion tours to meet our requirements. The service was personal, prompt, thoughtful and helpful. When we had issues on the actual holiday due to weather I was able to talk immediately to the Daina who had organised our trip and put some alternate arrangements in place - all with as simple call and email. Thanks we had a great time.

All went well until we checked into the hotel. We had asked for one double and one twin room and adjacent to each other for our family and grand children. Only double rooms were available and then not so close. We eventually sorted this out. Our twin was fine but had to be changed from the double we hadn't asked for. The breakfasts at the hotel were superb and the rooms comfortable. The trip to see the Northern Lights was a super experience and the large tent with the fire inside was particularly appreciated as there was a lot of waiting around for things to happen. The kids went off sledging. The lights appeared, on and off, for a couple of hours. Not quite like those advertising posters but pretty good all the same. The dog sledding was definitely something else. And huge fun. Quite physical. Fortunately the snow was quite soft so being tipped off the sled by my driver was no major hardship (she will remain nameless). My grand daughter and I had some unusual dietary requirements and these were well met by the hotel and Northern Light and Huskie expeditions. Good trip and great fun.

Hi, we had a great holiday but there were a couple of issues. Flights and timings for outward and return travel all worked exactly as advertised with no problems, really happy. The hotel in Tromso, the Scandic Grand, was very ordinary, that didn't really bother us as we were out a lot, but the room was tiny with a very limited amount of facilities. Also they wanted be to pay for the accommodation at first, being adamant that you, Baltic Travel had stated, "Guest to Pay" This was, however sorted out quickly after I phoned you - Thank You The Dog Sledding excursion was just superb. Very professional and great fun and great value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed the Ferry transit from Tromso to Svolvaer. In future I would recommend that you advise passengers to book taxis to meet passengers off the ferry at Svolvaer in advance as there were no taxis available when we arrived and we had a bit of a drama getting one. Svinoyer Rorbruer was superb, excellent accommodation, great atmosphere, great food, loved it. The two excursions were chalk and cheese. Both organized by Lofoten Lights, a very small Italian husband and wife team. On the day long excursion, as they were busy, they subcontracted the job to a local man, Odd-Petter Tanke Jensen, who was not part of their company, but whom they use often and whose work is advertised on their web site. That was OK, though, because he was a true professional guide and because he gave us a real day to remember. A photographer and local expert we visited all the places we were supposed to on the itinerary and many more. As an amateur photographer myself we were able to find locations and get advice on a one to one basis that we couldn't have dreamed of. An outstanding tour. The second excursion, however, was an evening tour or "Northern lights Safari". After hearing at length the previous day from our day tour guide, what he did for his Northern lights safaris, his knowledge of the best places etc, we were disappointed with the service from Lofoten lights. The Italian gentleman, Maurizzio the company owner, was very pleasant and good company and rather embarrassed that his car had frozen up and we couldn't open any of the doors. He had to leave us to go and get them fixed at a local garage before we could start the tour. He then took us to an, admittedly great, location where we were privileged to see the lights for a short time, however, I had to prompt him to take us elsewhere when the cloud came in over the harbor and he relocated to another lovely spot just North of Svolvaer, but even I could see it wasn't a great location for seeing the Aurora. We never got to the North coast at all during this evening. I understood that we should have gone to the Polar light Centre near Laukvik during this tour, but we only stayed very close to Svolvaer. Also we were not offered warm drinks during the tour as advertised. So overall we had a fantastic holiday and the small issues above are only offered so that you can improve things even further, they did not spoil our trip at all and thank you for organizing it for us.

Having trawled the Internet for a short break to see the northern lights we found that this one offered the most interesting itinerary. They're not the cheapest Baltic Travel were efficient, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The guide was incredibly enthusiastic and dedicated to our party. The holiday was everything it promised to be. Highly recommended!

Our four day stay in Tromso seemed longer - for good reasons. The hotel in Tromso was well placed and comfortable and Baltic - without being asked - had arranged for us to be given a room with a nice view. In fact it was marvellous! The agents used for excursions were professional, friendly and well organised. Overall a great trip arranged with a personal touch.

I would definitely recommend Baltic Travel, and would definitely use the company again. I went to Iceland with a friend, everything was booked for us and we had vouchers for all our trips. The order of the trips was excellent. I've been to Iceland before and know how much it can cost. The cost of this trip was excellent, especially when you consider the content. We were also very happy with the hotel, and also with the information we were given.

I recently returned from an amazing trip to Iceland. We had a wonderful time and were impressed by the standard of hotels over previous trips. Much thanks to Lena who's organisation of the tour was amazing. It was a tiring week but we got to see so much and the Northern Lights put on amazing show. Thanks once again
