I have nothing but praise for the service we received from Julija [and Michael] from Baltic Travel. Any concerns or questions raised were responded to immediately. The planning and organisation of all aspects of the trip was meticulous including accommodation, bikes provided and maps Helpful advice was also greatly appreciated. Baltic Travel are highly recommended.

My teenage son and I went on the Classic Russian Tour and it was brilliant. The tour guides were on time, so helpful, there was nothing it seemed they did not know and the whole holiday went like clockwork. Definitely recommend

Having given up on trying to put a package together independently, my proposed holiday to Latvia with my wife, seemed doomed to failure. I made one last attempt by going online and approached BTC with an outline of my plan and from that moment, everything fell into place perfectly. Within 24 hours of my request, I received a reply from Travel Consultant Julija. The proposed package ticked every box, and having just returned from our five night short break, I can state, without hesitation, that we enjoyed the trip even more than anticipated. The very reasonably priced package, turned out to be worth every penny, with lots of bonuses thrown in for good measure. Extra help and advice before departure - much appreciated! Flights - designated seats as requested and priority boarding (bonus!) Transfers - very prompt, sociable, helpful drivers, VERY nice Mercedes limos. Hotels - both excellent locations and 5 star comfort (as confirmed on Trip Advisor) 2x2 hour walking tours - one which formed part of the package and one kindly organised for us by Julija, proved very informative and enjoyable experiences. Weather - let's give Julia credit for that as well - perfect for our needs, dry, sunny and just the right temperatures for our mainly outdoor daily explorations. Overall experience - 5 star recommendation!!

Just got back from my first Arctic Explorers tour to Svalbard. The tour (3 days cruise) experience was amazing as we witnessed many Arctic Wildlife - polar bears, walruses, seals, whale, reindeers and arctic fox - and amazing Glaciers. The expedition Tour Guides had a wealth of local knowledge and experience touring the Arctic region and were excellent. Although it is not a given to see Arctic Wildlife, I would recommend this tour / trip to anybody.

Visited the Faroe Islands. Excellent holiday with good arrangements made by Baltic Travel. The local tour company providing the days out very good, and the guides are very knowledgeable (particularly the local guide for the puffin Island, Mykenes. Hotel could have been better, but I booked very late and the tourism boom has left hotels supply struggling to keep up with demand at the moment. Have used Baltic travel before (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia), and would use them again.

Laura, We truly enjoyed our recent trip to the Baltics. All of the Baltic capitals were extremely interesting and so different from one another. The local guides were excellent, and the hotels were very good, particularly the Nordic Forum in Tallin. We were very pleased with the way the tour was organized and the fact that there were only 14 of us in our group. You and Daina were very responsive when we needed your assistance. We hope to take advantage of other tour opportunities that you offer in the future. Thanks! DJ and Abbie Smith

The service received from Baltic Travel was very good. Laura Halmela, the travel consultant who handled my booking was very efficient. She kept me informed of any modifications to the plan in a timely manner and responded to my queries promptly. I will definitely use this company in the future if it covers my travel destinations.

We had an excellent trip to Iceland in August on the Active Iceland Holiday. The trip lived up to its name with a variety of different activities. We particularly enjoyed the river rafting, the horse riding and the whale watching. The Blue Lagoon was much better than we expected and a great chance to relax. We found the ATV trip rather too adventurous at the start-certainly not a trip for beginners. Also, for the ice climbing you do need stiff soled boots. On our free day, we enjoyed wandering around Reykjavik and were very fortunate that it coincided with the local marathon and Cultural Night. There were a few trip days when we did not get back to Reykjavik until 8/9 pm so had to miss out on "Happy Hour"! Accommodation at the Foss Hotel Reykjavik was very comfortable with excellent buffet breakfasts. Iceland is expensive so be prepared when you go out-or stay in! It is definitely well worth a visit.

From first contacting Baltic Travel , through obtaining Visas and to the trip to Russia itself everything was well organised and professionally completed. The Classic Russian Tour was great everything that was described in the brochure occurred and our guides were able to make superb recommendations of were to eat and what to do in our free time. Russia was such a revelation friendly interesting, clean and felt so safe. Overall, a great trip for our three teenage girls and us.

Michael at Baltic Travel Company made the arrangements for a weeks holiday on the Faroe Islands, and they went without a hitch. Atlantic Airways provided a very good service and the tours of the islands with Tora Tourist were very interesting. I was fascinated by the variety of sheep breeds on the islands and the subsea tunnels, both already made and under construction which connect the islands. The restaurants, though few are very good, with the Angus Steakhouse recommended, but be aware you need to book a day or two in advance to be sure of a table. The Faroe Islands make for a complete change and pace of holiday and I recommend booking through Baltic Travel Company.

Travelled to Iceland for a 1 week 'Active Adventure Holiday' booked with Baltic Travel Company. Easy to navigate and professional website. Friendly staff and my e-mails and telephone calls that I made were always responded to very quickly. All my holiday documents were posted to me and the Vamoos App was a brilliant added extra. I would reccommend this company and will consider booking through them again in the future.

My trip to Russia was my first solo holiday. Baltic Travel had taken care of everything. The collection from the airport and the train station went without a hitch. The hotels were good and the guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. The country was beautiful too and well worth a visit. I wouldnt hesitate to use Baltic Travel again.

Our holiday was magnificent and we saw parts of Finland we wouldn't have discovered had it not been for the specialist knowledge of the company. Everything they booked for us in advance was great, and there were no problems or technical hitches. The staff were all unfailingly helpful, including when we telephoned from Finland having lost our printed itinerary documents, and also when we had to change one of our travel party in advance of the holiday. We would highly recommend the services of Baltic Travel Company.

I usually do holidays where I scrabble together activities and/or places to visit, which at time I know I could have done better. On early research for going to Greenland it seemed wiser to book a tour and as greenland is a place I knew nothing about and not even knowing about anything that I could look up, I decided to book a tour. On visiting a travel agent they referred me to Baltic travel, particularly because they are ATOL and ABTA protected. I am so glad I put in an enquiry and booked the tour I did because it was fantastic and a bit beyond my ability to organise, especially as I left it a bit later than usual to book the holiday. The only down side which rests more on me, is that I felt a bit lazy because I felt they had done all the hard work and really quickly, buteveryone needs an imperfection so I can live with that. Without a doubt it was one of my best holidays, thank you baltic travel.

This is the second time we have used Baltic Travel to put together a bespoke holiday for us travelling between different cities and countries. The service has always been fantastic, from putting together a suggested itinerary based on our initial enquiry to tweaking it as we've thought of other things, to delivering a package of documents that you just "show and go". The team has always been responsive if we've asked anything - no matter how quirky. We can't recommend them highly enough - a great way to book the holiday you want.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Classic Baltic trip with tailor-made additions to meet our particular requests. Not only was every request met very efficiently but also the whole of the holiday arrangements went without a single hitch. Our tour guides without exception were local people with local knowledge in depth and an enthusiasm for their countries and good service. The hotels were well located and of a very good standard. An added bonus were the travel companions from across the world, all of whom were very friendly and shared their own insights. Baltic Travel certainly are the people to travel with to enjoy the very varied Baltic countries.

This was my first trip with the Baltic Travel Company and I've been really impressed from start to finish. Inga was fantastic (both friendly and professional) and provided great information when I first enquired, and adapted the package to what I wanted. All the details/vouchers forwarded just prior to the trip were helpful and meant I was all set up for my trip to Svalbard and Oslo. The Polar Bears and Arctic Adventure in Spitsbergen tour was fantastic. A comfy overnight stop in Longyearbyen at the Coal Miners Cabin, a day around the town, and then on to MS Nordstjernen for a few days travel along the coast. There were plenty of landings at different points with excellent guides who were really informative and friendly. We were lucky enough to see a Polar Bear, Walrus and Blue Whales. The hotel Inga had booked in Oslo was lovely, and it's central location set me up well for a day exploring the city. Overall an excellent experience - thank you.

This was a great trip – really enjoyed it and wished we’d had more time in this lovely country. The pre-trip organising was really good and all the guides were very friendly and where they were supposed to be at the designated times along the way. The pre-organised train tickets were good to get too. All the accommodation were good. Home stay in Ligatne was lovely - people were really accommodating and the place in the semi-rural setting was so relaxing. People at Hotel Gutenbergs in Riga were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The Sigulda Hotel was too far out of the town - this made it hard to get back to the attractions. Getting to the Valmiera Hotel was quite a long walk - there were no taxis at the train station. We enjoyed the walk but it did require using google Maps to get there through fields and forest. The supplied mobile phone was a really good idea as our phone didn’t work in Latvia and we needed to get in touch with the guides at the end of a few legs to be picked up. The cycle through the forest was my highlight – we ate berries and lingered in a few spots to enjoy the river or the white cliffs or the quiet of the forest. Navigation wasn’t obvious though – we followed initially a bike trail (which took us a little time to find) then some orange markers on trees. I recommend that better maps and instructions are provided to make this easier. We were lucky to find the orange marked trail but wasn’t sure it was taking us to the right place at times. Few tips: 1. There are no lunch spots along the way for the cycling or canoeing. Get something the day before. 2. Make sure your bike is set up before Maris and the local contact leave you. The bikes were in good working order but my seat needed adjusting (not up and down – the angle). 3. Take your time on the canoeing days. The distance is easily achieved in the timeframes. Get out and explore the forest or take a picnic and stop along the way. We didn’t do this and probably didn’t get as much out of the padding sections as we could have. 4. We recommend that the bike hire in Sigulda should be for the whole day so that you can explore the whole area – there is so much to see and would be hard to do on foot (we just kept the bikes and got in trouble with Maris – sorry mate!). Thanks Daina and everyone else. We highly recommend this trip.
