We have used Baltic Travel on many occasions, most recently for a short break in Copenhagen. Baltic Travel are always a pleasure to deal with and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble for them. Particular thanks go to Inga and Lena who got us a room upgrade and gave us useful information about Copenhagen, prices and things to do. We stayed at the Hotel Skt. Petri – really nice, clean, spacious, friendly staff and great breakfasts. The hotel is in the old Latin quarter and there are many sights to see nearby: the Botanic Gardens, Rosenborg Castle and the Round Tower to name but a few. The nearest train/metro station to the hotel is Norreport Station about a 5 minute walk away and much closer than Copenhagen Central Station. It's useful to know this if you're coming into the city centre from the airport. Doing this will cost you about DKK3.60 for a single ticket and is a refreshingly stress-free experience. Copenhagen is beautiful, but not cheap. For eating out, our most expensive dinner (2 courses, 1 glass of wine, 1 beer and tea/coffee) came to about DKK700 (including service); the least expensive was DKK385. So, if you pick your restaurants carefully (as with anywhere), then it’s not a problem. Visitor attractions such as museums, galleries and so forth are fairly reasonably priced. So, Baltic Travel, we'll definitely use them again and would recommend them highly.

Daina at Baltic travel organised us a awesome break to St Petersburg Russia. She helped us fill our visa applications in which we fretting over making the whole process so much easier. We had our own tour guide for two days, Vera our guide was so knowledgeable that she brought all our trips alive. Daina organised the ballet, tours, flights, accommodation and transfers. Every thing ran like clock work which took the pressure off of us to enjoy our time away. The people in St Petersburg are friendly and welcoming and felt very safe walking around by day and night. We even ventured on the metro which was exciting. A fabulous city, lovely people, Great tour company. Highly recommended.

It was amazing! Everything was taken care of. We were picked up at the airport and taken to our hotels by English-speaking drivers who pointed out things of interest along the way. Some days we were driven to lesser-known sights where the driver waited for us to explore for as long as we wanted before returning us to the hotel. All of the tickets were purchased ahead of time so all we had to do was hand the hotel, the personal guides (who were wonderful), the drivers, ferry and bus operators a voucher. It was worry-free travel.

I really liked the fact that I only needed to deal with one person, so it felt like a very personal experience. The website was really easy to use as well and gave a good overview of the holiday. All the hotels were of excellent quality.

once again we have had a fantastic holiday. the whole trip was planned and organised very well. our tour guide, Antoine was very passionate and knowledgeable in everything we/he did. we had almost perfect weather for the whole week too. all tours were interesting and worth while, and had one night of very active northern lights, which was a bonus. the only slight negative would be food. if you like fish and lamb then your set, if not the food can be limited. just make sure you let them know in advance and they will sort you out all hotels were of a very good standard too. nevertheless a great time was had by all. highly recommended. we will be going back again, and again. with your company of course.

Trip was "tailor made" for us as Diana took on board what we wanted to do and arranged it all. Flights, hotel bookings, and trip vouchers were all provided and we had no problems when we arrived in Iceland. On top of that it was a special birthday for my partner, and flowers were arranged by her via the hotel. Really nice touch from a small holiday Company that knows how to treat customers and make them happy! One of our trips was cancelled because of weather conditions. The bank credit for this was in my account within 48 hours. Wow!

It seemed a somewhat foolish idea for an elderly couple, my wife in her late seventies and myself in my eighties, to desire an holiday collecting amber on a remote part of the Baltic coast on the Lithuanian/Russian border . But age is no obstacle if desire is paramount and both of us have had a lifelong fascination with amber. Our first step was to contact the Baltic Travel Company and give clear concise details of what we wanted - they made all the arrangements: air flights, airport collections in Lithuania, hotel and above all a guide. Baltic Travel exceeded our wildest expectations and they excelled themselves in selecting a guide VITA SEPUTYTE who was as enthusiastic as ourselves about amber : our expectations were not high: we are enthusiastic fossil hunters on the Yorkshire Jurassic Coast and in thirty years or more we have only found three small pieces. Within minutes of reaching the coast and under the watchful eye of our guide Vita we started to find amber: please do not get too excited: we did not find large pieces but dozens of small fragments about the size of diamonds. This did not matter, we had come to find amber and we were finding it. Equally important our guide was a walking encyclopaedia with regard to Lithuania ; the folklore, cuisine, history, political background and she gave us her 100% attention. The beautiful country covered with pine forests is rich in fungi [another of our passions] and together we collected these before returning to Vita's house for a gourmet meal of fungi. The hotel and the staff were excellent; everywhere people were friendly and helpful and we managed well language wise in spite of our lack of Lithuanian and Russian - the two languages spoken by 98% of the population. Such was our enthusiasm for the country and our guide that we would be happy to help other adventurers in this area - Barrie and Sue Kaye .

Our trip to Vilnius was superb, the hotel was fantastic, the Amberton was a perfect location, the staff at the hotel where excellent. Vilnius itself is an amazing city people so friendly, the food was very good. Me and my sister visited the KGB museum that was horrific and to think that was all going on till the late 80s is very disturbing. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially my mum.

A really big thank you to Saija for arranging our holiday in St Petersburg to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary. It rained on our arrival and on our departure but in between the weather was lovey. The hotel, the Domina Prestige, was amazing, we upgraded to a Lifestyle Room as we were their for six nights and the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The food in the hotel bar and the restaurant was really very good indeed. The tour guide in St Petersburg worked very hard to make sure that all members of the tour group enjoyed their visits to the Hermitage Museum and St Catherine's Palace. Saija kindly arranged a private tour to Petrodvorets on Sunday to celebrate our anniversary and Svetlana our guide for the day was excellent. Once again my thanks to all those in the Baltic Travel Company in London, the driver, tour guides and hotel staff in St Petersburg for such a wonderful holiday.

Ref. Moscow's Golden Ring Tour I can't speak highly enough of our experiences with the Baltic Travel Company, and particularly with our dealings with Daina. Prior to the trip Daina could not have been more helpful and efficient in terms of organising our itinerary, helping with the visa applications, etc. Once in Russia the organisation was faultless. Guides( Vera, Tatyana, Helen) were knowledgable, friendly and helpful. The taxis booked were punctual. The support we received as we made our way up to Suzdal and Vladimir from Moscow, and then from Vladimir to St Peterburg, was essential and organised to the last detail. Everything was perfect. I would recommend Baltic Travel Company without hesitation.

This is a review of the holiday - Extended Baltics tour August 2016 We enjoyed the trip although it was quite tiring, as you might guess from the itinerary. Our coach had a mix of German, American and Australian guests plus us. Baltic Vision have an interesting roll on roll off schedule. Some guests start at Vilnius, others at Tallinn and some stay around Nida for a week. During the three capital city tours, we joined up with other groups to form English-speaking and German-speaking parties, for ease of guiding. Our city guide Elinor was very knowledgeable about history and architecture and was pleasant and friendly. Our regular guide, Janis, was a serious and earnest young chap who seemed worried when we wandered off to do our own thing once or twice. He spoke German and English on our usual bus so we picked up quite a bit of German during the holiday. There seemed also to be Spanish or Italian medium Baltic Vision groups during the route, too. Some of the trips were a bit rushed and we really need more time to look around Palmse, Rundale and the two cities Riga and Vilnius. The long distances covered meant that we had to use the toilet on the bus as it was often several hours between stops. Lunch breaks were very late; often around 1500. The driver Andros was very helpful and friendly though and there was a regular supply of bottled water to purchase. The airport transfers were fine. The Radisson hotels are very good and the locations perfectly alright. There was a mix up about which Radisson we were staying at for the first night but eventually the hotel reception staff sorted it out. The sky bars views in Riga and Vilnius are great. The Klaipeda hotel is not so good but still seems to be classed as 4 star. It is really a pub. The evening meals there were poorish though service friendly enough. The room was on the quiet side of the hotel but a bit dingy. The bathroom was a huge space. The Cesis hotel is not good. Breakfast was reasonable but the rooms in the attic are awful. The scheduled stop is on a Saturday night, arriving late. All the restaurants were full, partly because the opera/music festival was running. However, noise from drunks on the street carried on until around 5am. The rooms are not air conditioned and have old, drab furnishings. Not recommended. The tour stops/trips were really interesting (especially Parnu, Tartu, the national parks, hill of crosses, Jewish pogrom areas, KGB buildings to name a few) and we did most of the optional tours, just missing two of the evening meals out. The organ concert in Riga was an absolute joy. The Art Nouveau architecture in Riga is stunning. The Curonian spit is amazing, Jurmala very interesting, the art gallery in Tallinn well worth visiting and the meal at Peppersack very enjoyable. We had an extra day in Tallinn so spent hours at the Occupation Museum. Tallinn is pretty and full of cruise ship guests and their umbrellas. When possible, we went out on our own in the evenings to explore the surroundings. Overall, we liked meeting so many people from other countries, learning about the complex history of the three Baltic states and discovering a very great deal about life in Soviet times. This was quite a challenging holiday but so, so interesting. I am very glad that we went.

An interesting trip but I would not recommend this travel company...the hotels were poor and the holiday was disjointed with a different guide in each country. Trips in each city apart from a 2 hour walking tour were additional and costly. I think it was poor value for money.
