Our trip to Vilnius was superb, the hotel was fantastic, the Amberton was a perfect location, the staff at the hotel where excellent. Vilnius itself is an amazing city people so friendly, the food was very good. Me and my sister visited the KGB museum that was horrific and to think that was all going on till the late 80s is very disturbing. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially my mum.

A really big thank you to Saija for arranging our holiday in St Petersburg to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary. It rained on our arrival and on our departure but in between the weather was lovey. The hotel, the Domina Prestige, was amazing, we upgraded to a Lifestyle Room as we were their for six nights and the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The food in the hotel bar and the restaurant was really very good indeed. The tour guide in St Petersburg worked very hard to make sure that all members of the tour group enjoyed their visits to the Hermitage Museum and St Catherine's Palace. Saija kindly arranged a private tour to Petrodvorets on Sunday to celebrate our anniversary and Svetlana our guide for the day was excellent. Once again my thanks to all those in the Baltic Travel Company in London, the driver, tour guides and hotel staff in St Petersburg for such a wonderful holiday.

Ref. Moscow's Golden Ring Tour I can't speak highly enough of our experiences with the Baltic Travel Company, and particularly with our dealings with Daina. Prior to the trip Daina could not have been more helpful and efficient in terms of organising our itinerary, helping with the visa applications, etc. Once in Russia the organisation was faultless. Guides( Vera, Tatyana, Helen) were knowledgable, friendly and helpful. The taxis booked were punctual. The support we received as we made our way up to Suzdal and Vladimir from Moscow, and then from Vladimir to St Peterburg, was essential and organised to the last detail. Everything was perfect. I would recommend Baltic Travel Company without hesitation.

This is a review of the holiday - Extended Baltics tour August 2016 We enjoyed the trip although it was quite tiring, as you might guess from the itinerary. Our coach had a mix of German, American and Australian guests plus us. Baltic Vision have an interesting roll on roll off schedule. Some guests start at Vilnius, others at Tallinn and some stay around Nida for a week. During the three capital city tours, we joined up with other groups to form English-speaking and German-speaking parties, for ease of guiding. Our city guide Elinor was very knowledgeable about history and architecture and was pleasant and friendly. Our regular guide, Janis, was a serious and earnest young chap who seemed worried when we wandered off to do our own thing once or twice. He spoke German and English on our usual bus so we picked up quite a bit of German during the holiday. There seemed also to be Spanish or Italian medium Baltic Vision groups during the route, too. Some of the trips were a bit rushed and we really need more time to look around Palmse, Rundale and the two cities Riga and Vilnius. The long distances covered meant that we had to use the toilet on the bus as it was often several hours between stops. Lunch breaks were very late; often around 1500. The driver Andros was very helpful and friendly though and there was a regular supply of bottled water to purchase. The airport transfers were fine. The Radisson hotels are very good and the locations perfectly alright. There was a mix up about which Radisson we were staying at for the first night but eventually the hotel reception staff sorted it out. The sky bars views in Riga and Vilnius are great. The Klaipeda hotel is not so good but still seems to be classed as 4 star. It is really a pub. The evening meals there were poorish though service friendly enough. The room was on the quiet side of the hotel but a bit dingy. The bathroom was a huge space. The Cesis hotel is not good. Breakfast was reasonable but the rooms in the attic are awful. The scheduled stop is on a Saturday night, arriving late. All the restaurants were full, partly because the opera/music festival was running. However, noise from drunks on the street carried on until around 5am. The rooms are not air conditioned and have old, drab furnishings. Not recommended. The tour stops/trips were really interesting (especially Parnu, Tartu, the national parks, hill of crosses, Jewish pogrom areas, KGB buildings to name a few) and we did most of the optional tours, just missing two of the evening meals out. The organ concert in Riga was an absolute joy. The Art Nouveau architecture in Riga is stunning. The Curonian spit is amazing, Jurmala very interesting, the art gallery in Tallinn well worth visiting and the meal at Peppersack very enjoyable. We had an extra day in Tallinn so spent hours at the Occupation Museum. Tallinn is pretty and full of cruise ship guests and their umbrellas. When possible, we went out on our own in the evenings to explore the surroundings. Overall, we liked meeting so many people from other countries, learning about the complex history of the three Baltic states and discovering a very great deal about life in Soviet times. This was quite a challenging holiday but so, so interesting. I am very glad that we went.

An interesting trip but I would not recommend this travel company...the hotels were poor and the holiday was disjointed with a different guide in each country. Trips in each city apart from a 2 hour walking tour were additional and costly. I think it was poor value for money.

The organisation by Baltic Travel was excellent. The car meeting us at the airport was on time both ways; the hotel was first-class with cheerful staff and very good breakfasts; the guided tour was most informative and entertaining - thanks to the personable young lady who took us round this delightful city; and the local restaurants were surprisingly good. We would certainly use Baltic Travel again.

Baltic Travel was excellent from first contact to follow up after the holiday. Booking was easy, queries were answered promptly and, importantly, you felt ‘taken care of’ from start to finish – a true personalised service from a company eager to ensure that we had the best of holidays (which we did). Daina was great; efficient, enthusiastic and ever so friendly. The holiday to the Faroe Islands gave us just what we’d hoped; the right balance of escorted tours with an excellent and knowledgeable company, and free time to spend on this fascinating group of islands.

We had a great holiday, the Hotels in Vilnuis and Tallinn were first class, the hotel in Riga could do with a bit of sprucing up. All three local guides were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The itinerary was just right, having included tours but then options of extra tours or time to do your own thing. We had bed and breakfast and there was so much choice at each of the hotels then on an evening we found some lovely restaurants and had really good meals

We were extremely pleased with the arrangements and organisation of out holiday to Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn: from airport transfers and each end, the 4-star hotels and especially the local guides in each city. All excellent. Our international group of 18 was so much better than the 40 or 50 of larger operators, too. We would recommend Baltic Tours.

we are just back from our trip which we really enjoyed and cannot praise our tour guides enough ie: Yves and Anne-Marie and our driver nothing was too much trouble for any of them and their knowledge was brilliant. Equally from start of the booking everything has been handled impeccably and special requirements were all put in place by Daina and the Baltic Travel Crew which made a huge difference to us. Other travellers from all over the world joined and left the tour at various times which is why the 'trip' will always go and not like some companies, be cancelled if too few people are going.

My sister and I had the most wonderful time in Latvia. We had a beautiful room in the Gutenbergs Hotel in Riga with enormous wood beams - we were so impressed we took photos! The day after our arrival was the start of the summer solstice festival. A large market in the square with Latvian food, stalls selling beautiful amber jewellery, traditional Latvian music and children in national dress dancing - more photos! We enjoyed a personal tour of the old part of the city. The history of Latvia and Riga is fascinating and would recommend doing this as it was very informative. The second part of our holiday was spent in the very pretty Marcienas muiza Spa Hotel. We received a very warm welcome from the owner of the hotel and were persuaded to take part in the Liga/Jani festivities...very unique I think we could say! The Latvian people are very warm and friendly and are extremely proud of their country and the old traditions. We intend to visit Riga again in order to visit the Latvian under Occupation Museum and the KGB building which have been recommended. We would highly recommend the Baltic Travel Company. This was a visit to Latvia tailored to our requirements and the arrangements made on our behalf were detailed and comprehensive, in particular the private transfers. Inga, at Baltic Travel in London was an absolute star and deserves a special thank you.

We traveled to Moscow and St Petersburg with Baltic travel. The trip was extremely well organised and we didn't have to worry about anything. The hotels, transport and especially the guides were excellent. I would strongly recommend Baltic Travel to anybody wishing to visit Scandinavia or the Baltics.

We had some amazing experiences in both Iceland and Greenland, which will stay with us for a long time. It made such a difference that we had all our transfers pre-organised by Baltic Travel Company, which made things so much easier, especially in Iceland, where the pick-up service was exemplary. Our guide in Greenland made us feel so welcome and shared with us his fascinating local knowledge and experience. All our excursions were very memorable, especially the boat trip amongst the icebergs. Overall we had a fantastic time and would definitely look to go on another Baltic Travel holiday in the future.

The staff at Baltic were extremely helpful when the airline lost my wifes bag and also when we had to make some changes to our itinerary during our stay in Norway.
