“November 2017. We booked through Baltic Travel company after speaking with Lena on the phone. It was clear this was a lucky find. Our trip to Sweden, including Stockholm, an overnight train and two nights at the tree hotel was practically perfect in every way. But not only that, all our dealings with the Baltic Travel Company were faultless. We felt we were dealing with friends and were given such careful and professional service throughout. We had to contact them about a minor issue at the Tree hotel, and Lena dealt with it personally and e-mailed me back within 1 hour - on a Saturday. All their paperwork was accurate and thorough, all their e-mail communications friendly, professional and articulate. A dream to deal with. We would give this company 5* for their service and efficiency. Faultless. We didn't see the Northern Lights, it was cloudy and the moon was over 50% waxing. Oh dear, we'll have to book another trip ! NJP”

“Good communication and holiday. The hotel is very good and in an excellent location for sightseeing and pick up points for tours. I think it is useful to keep the northern lights chase at day 2 due to the unpredictability of the weather, you may have to reschedule the next day (I was unlucky and there was a storm on day 3 when I had a day and evening tour booked, both were cancelled). It is definitely necessary to keep an evening/day free later in the trip for rescheduled events. In hindsight, I would have booked a northern lights chase day 2 and 3. Or extended the trip to one more day, because on day 1, I got to my hotel at 9pm and couldn't schedule any evening events that day. Other than that, it was a very good trip.”

“Baltic travel listened and planned my holiday with an itenary which suited our needs and budget. We visited Iceland and all the excursions were fabulous, the hotel selected suited our needs and requirements, we were lucky enough to see the northern lights but even if we hadn't it wouldn't have spoilt our trip, any questions prior to booking and afterwards were dealt with promptly by Baltic travel and we made to feel special at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend Baltic travel and I will definitely use them again. If Iceland is on your bucket list book with Baltic travel you won't be disappointed”

“Expensive for the given activities. Didn't get to see northern lights, partly due to weather conditions, but travellers should be given option for selection of suitable nights to view the lights.”

“We were 4 friends going to Russia and loved it. Our guides Lilly and Victor were excellent. So much to see - Gorki Leninskie, Lenin’s Home and then off to Kremlin and Red Square. Highlight was The Bolshoi Ballet La Bayadere was stunning. So much to see in Petersburg and Catherine’s Winter and Summer homes. Big thank you to Inga for all her help, especially the visas. Would certainly go with Baltic Travel again.”

“This is my third time booking with Daina at Baltic Travel. She has always been very pleasant to speak to, very efficient, and able to suggest things to make my holiday better. For my recent holiday to Denmark I was unaware until she told me that I could fly from Aarhus to Stansted, which saved me time and money. I know I can rely on her to meet all my requirements and provide a detailed itinerary and answer all my questions and have recommended her and the company as a whole to friends and colleagues. “Hello, Saija. We thoroughly enjoyed our Scandinavian tour. There were no slip-ups, as everything was very well organized. The tour guide was excellent (Yves). We especially liked our stay in Helsinki. The Hotel Haven was beautiful and very comfortable and the staff there was very helpful when we made any inquiries. There was variation in the age and quality of the hotels throughout Norway, but we recognize that part of the charm of the tour was in the age and character of the hotels (how’s that for a positive attitude?). We would like to revisit Helsinki and the lake districts of Finland, so we may be in touch with you again about arranging that. “my wife and I wanted a customized combo holiday of organized tours and individual choices . Inga was very patience as we went thru long list of choices , never ending changes and offered advice on local knowledge and alternative ways to to organize our time and travel .Including a visa free trip to St Petes . Hotel choices were good and well located to minimize unnecessary long distance walking.. well done >>.”

“We have used Baltic Travel twice, the first time was last year on one of their own Fly/Drive Finnish trips, and recently, a "made to measure" fly/drive for us to Finnish Lapland and northern Norway. The staff are friendly and courteous and listened to us when we told them our likes and dislikes and managed to arrange almost perfectly our travel arrangements.”

“For a long time I have wanted to travel to a different place and decided to try Norway. Often I have found it difficult to find all the exciting event to explore at the destination but with Baltic Travel Company I got all the help I needed. I was able to ask as many questions as I needed and they were all so helpful. I traveled to Norway to find Northern lights and beside of a wonderful experience the service at the company was absolute amazing. They were quick to get back to me and managed to find other events that I had not even thought about. Everything on the journey was sorted out for me and the team had so many good advise as they had been there before. I am so thankful to the team for all the support and work they did for me. I will definitely use the company again. Thanks guys! :)”

“Lots went wrong. Here's a sample... The hotel in Saint Petersburg was changed after the tour was booked. The original hotel was conveniently located in the main tourist area, the replacement was very remote making it extremely difficult to take advantage of the many sites available in Saint Petersburg. The tour guide was probably very knowledgeable however command of the English language was limited. Missed out on a lot things as she was very difficult to understand. Consider an other tour company if you are interested in learning about Russia.”

It is unfortunate that from time to time the Russian authorities feel it necessary to close off Red Square.
