“We had a fantastic holiday in Dubrovnik. Everything ran very smoothly from transfers from airport, hotel accommodation and the itinerary which had all been organised by Jack who was extremely helpful all the way through. He also ensured that our special request with a room type was organised before we arrived there. We were very happy with the whole package Balkan Escapes put together and the help we had and would use them again”

“Thank you Balkan Escapes and especially Jack for a very enjoyable holiday. The three locations Dubrovnik, Korcula and particularly Split were an excellent introduction to Croatia. The pre-arranged transfers worked well and the directions regarding our transfers were spot on, though it was a bit stressful when a storm cancelled all sailings from Dubrovnik to Korcula, once contacted Jack's fast-time support was much appreciated and the revised cross-country bus and then small passenger ferry crossing to Korcula was one of the highlights. The accommodation was a mixed bag, the Dubrovnik and Split hotels were very good, especailly the Luxe, where the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay, however, the Korcula hotel's level of service was disappointing and although the view from our room was excellent the often rude attitude of the staff spoiled the stay. Overall we had a great holiday and thanks to Jack will definitely use Balken Escapes when we return to Croatia.”

“I dealt with Jack who listened to our requirements and came up with the goods! Both hotels were outstanding in accommodation, food, service and positions. Hotel More in Lapad was idyllic with our wonderful sea view room. Splendida Palace was just out of this world. Marija our hostess was an absolute gem. Nothing was a problem and she just kept on giving. Thank you so much. Would recommend Balkan escapes and Croatia. Thank you”

“Balkan Escape lived up to all of the expectations hotel and destination wise. Car hire was a problem otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Car staff at the airport were very rude and abrupt. The car allocated to me was covered in scratches and dents. As such this took well over an hour at each end of the hire to address.”

“Amazing country will be going back in the future the first hotel was perfect and could not fault in anyway would have loved to have stayed there longer . Split just wasn’t for me as very much a city and the hotel was to far from the centre taxis worked out expensive and the hotel just wasn’t a nice as the first one . Next time I go would like to island hop as it’s so beautiful viewed on the ferry crossing . Amazing clear water and warm food was great and the people so helpful would definitely recommend Croatia to everyone thanks for a great holiday.”

“What can I say, that I am so glad I booked my holiday with Balkan Escape. Balkan escape advised that they could book our flights, hotels and transfers which made things easier. Jack was amazing! He helped me and my friend with our trip to Croatia, provided us with all the details and answered all our queries. We even had text messages to confirm our transfer pick up times, which helped a lot. “Once again we have received top-quality service from Balkan Escapes. From our initial inquiry right through to the end of the holiday, everything ran very smoothly. Our hotels were perfectly located and the transfers to and from the airports and various locations during our 10-day stay were very well organised meaning we could just relax and enjoy our holiday. “Balkan Escape is quite simply the ‘Best’ option if you wish to visit anywhere in The Balkans. The customer service provided by Jack Fleming cannot be faulted at any stage. Beginning with any enquiry about ideas and itineraries, the total flexibility in booking and planning your bespoke holiday. You simply will not get this with the likes of TUI and Jet2. The prices are very competitive and the attention to detail in regards to every stage of your itinerary whether it be multiple ferry bookings to private car transfers from Ferry ports to hotels or airports, every single detail is catered for. Our family have benefited from Jacks expertise for three fantastic holidays where we have visited Dubrovnik (twice) Korcûla and Hvar (twice). We are already looking forward to planning future itineraries to explore further in the region. Even when hiccups occur, Jack provides the solution before you are aware of a problem ! On our recent trip, two of our Ferry transfers were cancelled, Jack had rebooked alternative Ferry’s and advised us by email and text and dispatched the Tickets. NOTHING is overlooked. We cannot recommend Balkan Escape highly enough !”

“Balkan Escapes and Jack in particular helped us have a most excellent holiday. Jack put together an initial itinerary and then refined it several times to fit our requirements. We originally planned to visit in May 2020 and eventually visited in September 2022 after several postponements and rearrangements, which Jack organised for us with a minimum of fuss and an ever friendly, efficient approach. We stayed in 3 locations in Croatia and each of the hotels Jack had recommended for us were excellent. There was a bit of a mix up with the transfer from Dubrovnik airport but a quick phone call to Jack and we jumped into a cab, the fare being reimbursed by Balkan Escapes. The ferry transfers were perfect. We will definitely revisit Croatia, probably the North of the country and combine it with a visit to Slovenia and Balkan Escapes will be our go to company because we are confident they will provide us with great value and quality.”

“Booked our holiday to Dubrovnik and Montenegro through Jack at Balkan Escapes after reading the excellent reviews online and wasn't disappointed. Jack was engaging from the off and provided advice on resorts as we hadn't visited the region before. Service was excellent from start to finish and Jack answered any questions we had, often answering emails out of working hours. The holiday itinerary went to plan without any issues whatsoever. Flights, hotels and transfers all included at a very competitive price. I would have no hesitation in using Balkan Escapes again or recommending to friends or family. “Jack was very helpful and knowledgeable as we tried to put a trip together. He was also very efficient - calls and emails happened when he said they would and he dealt with all the details. Hotel recommendations were made on personal knowledge of the hotels. Consequently we felt well assured that all would go to plan - which it did. On a 2 centre trip all transfers worked well and when 1 taxi was unavoidably detained in traffic the driver contacted us and was extremely good company on our journey (Dominick🙂). We would all use Balkan Escapes again and happily recommend that you try them.”

Everything went unbelievably smoothly (with the exception of the French Air Traffic Control strike on the way home delaying us by an hour). Accommodation was perfect, and we absolutely loved both Split and Brac (Bol). Instructions were clear and precise and just as described. “This is a really good company that puts its customers first and foremost. The service is excellent from initial enquiry to getting you home. A case in point is that three of our inter-island ferries were cancelled but Jack was proactive and thorough, ensuring that alternatives were found and tickets emailed to us. I can certainly recommend Balkan Escape”

“Found that most places on Hvar wouldn't accept cards, only cash. Internet did not work at Zephyrus, & they had no English TV channels. All accommodation & transfers good. Got lost finding hotel in Split, better directions needed, Google maps not effective in small back alleys.”
