“I had telephoned to ask about the size to buy for flip flops - I wear a size 7 back doorshoe,but I would buy a size 6 in a slipper. I was told to buy the same size as for a backdoor shoe - when they arrived they were about an inch too long and would have been dangerous to wear. I also found it impossible to just slip them on - I had to use my hands to get them on.”

Hello Monica, Firstly, we’re sorry the size didn’t work for you, Our recommendation is usually accurate but please appreciate that we all have different shape feet and different length toes. Some of us have a higher instep or a lump or bump somewhere. All our footwear is made from EVA which can be warmed and moulded. “When I ordered the shoes it specifically stated that a size smaller than usual should be used. However when the shoes arrived they are too small. I now have to figure out how to send them back without any charge to myself. Also the correct size is now out of stock. Not happy.”

“Shoe sizing is extremely poor. Two sizes bigger than my normal shoe size is still too small. Quality, aswell as sizing, has declined a lot in a few years”

“Ordered a pair of men's chunky tread clogs and as per their recommendation ordered my next size up (9 instead of an 8). They are huge on my feet and do not stay on. Emailed on 6th December to bring this to their attention and request a refund. Their returns policy states that I have to pay for postage and this is not refundable. My request was it should be refunded as I took their advice regarding sizing and it was wrong and I should not have to pay to return them. It's now 17th December and still no reply. The product is good but their customer service really sucks.”

“The first pair were very large (size 5) I returned them and as per instructions I re-ordered size 4 and they are fine. Return instructions said I would be reimursed for the return. A month on I'm still waiting, Asked to review returns process easy or hard I would say stupid!”

“Purchased shoes as a Christmas gift, I didn't unwrap from the nice presentation pack before re wrapping. WIsh I did! Upon opening we found that there is a flaw in the print (see photo).”

“I know it is not Backdoor Shoes’ fault but the Royal Mail’s dismal failure to deliver my order of 25th Oct (First Class payment by me!) but it is totally ridiculous that I have STILLnot received my order of Beard Balm. What is being done at your end to discover the whereabouts of this parcel? We are now going to Australia on 16th December and I am concerned that my order has disappeared into the ether, never to be seen again.”

“I have had a pair of clogs for years and love them but I thought it was about time I replaced them. Very disappointed - the new clogs are so squeaky I can’t use them in the evening or morning as I wake up my daughter. The insoles are so loose they just keep sliding out. I want to return them as I am so disappointed and they are not cheap either. Thought it would help to wear them a few days to break them in, but no different.”
