“Having read reviews I thought these clogs would be ideal for use in the garden. People had said how soft and comfy they are. Unfortunately for me this is not the case. The upper area, especially around the toe is very stiff and hard and not very comfortable at all. They’ll be ok to nip out to the rubbish bin or hang out washing but that’s all. Not one of my best purchases.”

“This pair was to replace a well loved and used pair. However within a day they squeak when you walk. Very annoying. Have you replaced the composition of the shoes.”

“I have had back door clogs before and have been more than pleased. The latest ones however are much stiffer and where they bend I have had bad blisters am hoping with time they will soften”

Sorry to hear you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase. The shoes will naturally loosen and mould to your feet over time, or they can be adjusted using a hair dryer for immediate relief. “The shoes are excellent and comfy. The firm's customer service I have found to be poor, e.g. in business hours' phone messages left- not returned. Ditto with emails.”

“Excellent quality of material and printing and colour, but a narrower-than-expected fit which didn't suit either of us. If you are used to Crocs, Backdoor shoes are a very different fit for a quick slip on and off, but they are well made and the company has been very efficient with communications.”

“Purchased a pair of size 10 black for me ,normally a size 9,but the advise was to go up a size. Not totally sure I will wear them to much as even with the insole out they do not feel very secure on my feet. Made very well.”

“Delivery quite slow and despite ordering a larger size as suggested they were still small and so returning for an exchange. Due to Christmas period return not sent immediately. So await replacement in new year”

“Had to return these despite having a pair for many years which fit perfectly. The size was completely different and far too big ,ie long. Very disappointed and grudge having to pay postage.”

“The shoes are stylish and practical. I have one observation. The soles are quite thin and on more than one occasion, brambles have penetrated to my feet. This is a major concern as although I am not allergic to say rose thorns, my wife is and recently was hospitalised due to contact (although not through the shoes). I note that you sell linings separately. In my opinion, they should be integral to the shoes and not charged for separately. Jacques Gholam”

“This is my second pair and I would have given the first pair five stars for their five years of sterling daily service. But they have become slippery and dangerous as the soles have worn down so I ordered another pair in the identical size. I can't get my feet into the new pair. The instep part is too tight and I will have to give them away. Have you made them smaller or have my old ones stretched? I am gutted.”

“Bought these some time ago and liked the design. But after using ones from my local garden centre costing a third of the price. I shall be going back there in future. Backdoor are to expensive.”
