“Generally comfortable. Tight around big toe area. Will hopefully loosen with wear. Worn sock free your feet get very hot as no ventilation holes in upper. Nice patterns and good grip on sole.”

Thank you for your 4* review - We’d like to make it 5 and we have good news. Our shoes are made from a unique material which can be warmed with a hairdryer for 1-2 minutes on hot from 15cm and then moulded to accommodate your big toe. We do it all the time for those with lumps / bumps , bunions or a longer toe. In summer a good tip is to wear a thin bamboo sock which will keep feet cooler. In winter they are cosy and insulate on cold stone floors etc . We hope this helps Kind regards Stephen

“The back door shoes are so comfy and look really stylish I would recommend to everyone also I purchased mine from a flower show and choose the wrong size I contacted the company and asked if I could exchange them for a bigger size that was not a problem they did this for me straight away xxxxx”

“Bought a pair of back door shoes for my sister who loved them but wrong size . It was SO easy to return , I bought the right size while sister returned the original ones - quick payment return too. I also have a pair, so easy to wear slip on and off and give enough protection in the garden ! Thank you”

“I was in the New Forest for two weeks with my sister and her family and we were in the town of Lyndhurst and we just happen to see the back door shoes stall. I tried on a pair of their flip flops and OMG SOOOOOOOOOO comfortable!!!! I have a very high arch and wide feet and these flip flops are perfect!!!!! I bought a pair of the Bluebell blue recovery flip flops. I am going to buy a second pair and bring them home.”

“Delivered promptly. Garden clogs fit well although right rubs a bit on 3rd toe: socks resolve this. They keep the worst of the wet off. Gravel creeps in but generally a good buy.”

Hi and thank you for your valuable review. Good news is that if you use a hairdryer on hot at 15cm away for around 45 seconds on the toe area you’ll be able to mould our clever material away from your third toe. Put your hand inside and push hard with your fingers . Material will cool and set to your shape. We hope you might consider giving us the extra * after you’ve had the success. “Shoes I keep at the back door!! Slip on go into garden, come back bit grubby, not to worry, my feet have been comfortable, clean and the colourful clogs are there ready for the next time. Perfect.”

Hello Olive , Thank you for another 5* review. You may not be aware that you can wash the insoles in the washing machine at 30 degrees and you can wash the clogs in warm soapy water and scrub to keep clean. Don’t be afraid to completely immerse them in water. Take insoles out first- Then once clean, leave to air dry or dry with a cloth. It takes only a few minutes. Kind regards Stephen

“I bought a pair of these shoes for my husband many many years ago,they still look as new as the day that we received them despite him wearing them most days (he's a garden lover). I have now bought my son a pair and I also treated myself to a pair. The ones that I bought my son were a bit small, so I made contact with Backdoor shoes and ordered another pair, 2 sizes larger,they are perfect. The customer service and quick refund for the first pair (that were too small), was perfect. Very helpful, knowledgeable and polite. I will certainly recommend them to friends and family. I'm so glad that you are still in business, and it's clear to see why. Thank you so much.”

Simply sprinkle a small amount of talcum powder in between the insole and sole, and this should fix it!
