I ordered the SpotCam ‘babysense’, as advertised on their website (the display pictures they use are the specific babysense monitor). What I actually received was just a SpotCam sense; if I would have known this was what I was ordering I could have purchased on Amazon for £129.99 (as opposed to the £169.99 I paid (plus next day delivery charges)). Although the staff were polite on the phone I have given a 1 star rating as it took numerous emails and phone calls over 7 days for them to even get back to me (they never did respond to my emails, it was only when I called for the third time that they confirmed they’d sent me a different product to what was advertised). I was offered a 10% discount which I have not accepted as I can get the product much cheaper elsewhere and now I have to go to the trouble of returning the product - and I am still without a baby monitor which I desperately need.

Awful, wanted the mebby as portable - first got told product had no due date so cancelled order, then ordered on another site/ another company which turned out to be the same company but told a due date to then a week later be told by Jessica product is discontinued. Slow on replies & kept having to chase still had no refund. Very unhappy customer who also works in this trade.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Babymonitorsdirect.co.uk are a scam who don’thave any of the items they advertise in stock. Don’t waste your time with Babymonitorsdirect.co.uk like i did. I took the chance after reading the poor reviews of Babymonitorsdirect.co.uk in the hope that my order would be ok. Just avoid Babymonitorsdirect.co.uk because the hassle is just just not worth it.

Do not buy from this company. I spent £200 on a monitor that was faulty and its been 3 months and it still hasn't been repaired or replaced. The Customer service team don't care once they have your money. They will lie and lie to you. Stay away.

Terrible company. Provided me with a faulty monitor. Unwilling to replace with a like for like specification. Unwilling to replace with the same model as the price has gone up since I purchased. Have offered me other monitors with poor quality and poor camera rotation which is not Appropriate for my baby room. Products offered are of poorer specification than the one originally purchased. Have continuously argued with me over email for 5 days, are unwilling to put me through to management or a complaints department to get this resolved. Terrible customer service, rude, argumentative and not keen on making customers happy. Have left me without a monitor for over 3 weeks for a 4 month old baby because they ate unwilling to resolve. Will not refund me even though they have provided me with a faulty product. Only offering store credit. I have no choice but to pay extra for the same model I originally purchased because I need a monitor back ASAP. Would not recommend this company in a million years. They are atrocious and poorly run.

Ditto other reviews on this site. Do not use BMD. If a fault occurs you will be without monitor for WEEKS. A respectable retailer would replace and then liaise with manufacturer. The company doesn't care at all. No consideration for baby safety whatsoever. Buy somewhere else, far too risky with Baby Monitors Direct. Disgrace of a company.

I received a product that had been previously used. Sticky fingerprints all over the monitor, food spilt on the manual etc. When I reported it, I was told 'this is unusual as we don't sell used products' - as if I was to blame. It took 3 weeks to have an exchange sorted... good job the baby is on the way rather than already here... promised couriers never arrived... 2-3 days to have an email responded to... Last time I go with this company to save a few quid... spend your money somewhere reputable. To top it all (and why I'm actually writing this review), they declined the cash back I am owed through topcashback. Jokers.

I ordered my monitor on 4th Jan for my baby due in April. I have come to use the monitor in July (planned on moving baby into his own bedroom). The monitor screen does not work. Phoned Baby Monitors Direct. Spoke to Sharon who was very abrupt and really quite rude. I have been told it will be up to 10 days to be looked at and a possible further 3 weeks for a repair. I have never used this monitor and feel I should have been offered a full refund. I now have no alternative but to buy another or be without a monitor. Very poor service considering the monitor was £89.99. I also asked to be contacted by a manger. Sharon refused and said that they have procedures and that it was basically tough! Do not order a monitor from this company.

I accidently purchased a spare pad instead of a whole unit, opened the unsealed box and realised my mistake,i emailed and asked if I coulde return it and pay the difference for the whole unit, but was point blank told no as id opened the box, the box wasn't sealed , just a box, its not a personalised item, or an item for personal use, really not happy as without the full unit its useless, and at £42 its not cheap!

I ordered a product then got an email telling me it was out of stock so I cancelled the order and bought the product elsewhere. The company ignored my request to cancel, contrary to distance selling regs, and shipped the order once it was back in stock! I rejected the goods and the Royal Mail returned them to sender. Baby monitors direct then told me they were going to charge me a fee for the return of the goods! It's taken posting publicly about this on Facebook to get the company to see sense. I'm told I will now be getting a full refund but I'm still waiting for it nearly 3 weeks after in initially requested that my order be cancelled!

Bought a monitor that developed a fault within its warranty period. Had to pay for an additional monitor to enable the faulty one to be returned on a promise that it would be refunded once received. My money was never refunded so I paid twice for a faulty monitor despite chasing. Paul
