“There’s an old saying - buy cheap, buy twice. I bought a solution from babol years ago now. Any change of car all I need to replace is the smallest part - the fitting specific to my car. The latest one for a tiny car, actually positions the phone in perfect position. Super!”

“Positives - Easy to install, no drilling and is solid with no movement for your phone, looks great and perfect for my make n model of car👍 Downside - doesn't take into account your phone having a protective cover on it so have to remove this every time you want to fit it in the craddle or risk smahing phone if dropped....also as you need 2 parts it is a bit pricey compared to others in the market...also have 2 phones (work and personal) of different makes so one cradle won't do other models and had to buy cheap craddle for work phone to sit in 😪”

“A good product. It fits solidly to the dashboard of the VW Crafter enabling me to just click the phone into, and take out of place without supporting the cradle unit itself. No wobbles or rattles while driving either. My only criticism.... I have a usb-c sockets in my van and even the cable direct from Apple does not fit/click in place at the bottom of the cradle unit. It has to be modified and stuck to fit the hole. If you have the standard iPhone cable it fits fine. The cradle itself deserves 5 stars, However, i gave it 3 for this issue”

“I had some concerns about fitting this, but all completely unfounded. I used an adjustable phone holder, easy to customise for my phone [Pixel 5 with a case]. Really good mount, easy to use Waze and Music. My only advice would be to be certain where you want to mount the phone, and check what bits of the car dash you would be obscuring etc. Moving the mount after installation likely to be a pain to be honest.”

“I've had four products from Brodit since my days with a iPhone 3G. The mounting bracket is a really useful bit of kit since it has been compatible with two different phone holders and now with my tablet holder. All the items are incredibly well made and durable. My one area of doubt is the charging unit I bought with my first active holder. The output is very low and it's never really been up to the job of keeping on top of either of the three phone's batteries if I've been using a music app or GPS. Of course, Brodit cannot be expected to have holders for every device out there so although my tablet fits the holder perfectly securely, I've had to re-profile one of the side stops to allow for insertion of the USB-C plug. Apart from those two very minor negatives, I cannot recommend their products enough.”

“I’ve used Brodit mounts before…. So when I got a different van, a Renault Trafic I was determined to find the correct mount for my satnav. I ordered the mount. Once it arrived, it had clear instructions, with pictures to help. It’s a quality moulded item and fitted perfectly into the original coin holder in the van. It’s so much more streamlined than the Renault mount supplied with the van. Order with confidence. You won’t be disappointed.”

“I had avoided this product in the past as I wrongly believed it didn't look sufficient to hold my precious phone safely.. eventually after the others I had purchased didn't meet my needs, I tried a Brodit holder. It is perfect, both for the quality of manufacture and the way it holds the phone itself. I removed a star as I have to fix to my dash, which will show when I sell the vehicle in the future.”

“I usually rate the Brodit holder as the best that money can buy! Unfortunately this time it was not the case. I always loved the way it was smartly designed to tuck away and be really secure. I bought one instantly again when I changed to a c class Mercedes. The fit is awkward, looks out of place and the bracket snapped because of this. Had to return to a trusty magnetic holder which I thought was redundant. Come on Brodit! You’d think for a vehicle like Mercedes the fitment would be neat and secure 😔”
