Brilliant! A well organised trip. Food, accommodation and activities all excellent. Everything was well organised and everyone we came in contact with was helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful location.Mikko and his family were so friendly and accommodating. You can really see that they put their heart and soul into it - and we felt so welcomed. The accommodation was lovely, food excellent. It was so well organised from booking, to arriving at the accommodation, and to getting home safely. Definitely worth every penny and something I would highly recommend. Will be looking to do another holiday with you guys as it was fabulous.

This weekend was amazing - a combination of the Ice Hotel and The Wilderness cabins. Including the activities of snowmobiling and Husky Sledding. Everywhere we went we were treated well and nothing was too much trouble. During both the activities we were instructed well on what to wear and how to stay safe. For us the Husky sledding was the best part of the whole weekend and the cooking at the cabins out of this world. An experience in itself. Only two downsides to the trip - the flight to Stockholm on the way home was late - and this caused quite a lot of stress because there was only 40 minute window to catch our flight back to Heathrow. Fortunately we were then booked on to a slightly later flight. To me this would have saved stress if we had been booked on to the later flight anyway. The other downside was that the chap who collected us from the airport and took us to the ice hotel. He was nice enough and very informative and pleasant. However, in the orientation talk he gave us it would have been nice if he had given us that information first and then gone on to try and sell his own tour. Instead he was trying to get us to pay him to take us to see the northern lights, before even giving us the information about the actual trip we had paid for! I don't mind people wanting to make some on the side but would have been nice not to be seen as a cash cow! Otherwise, a great, well organised trip and would recommend it to anyone who wanted to do something a bit different

Great trip to Swedish Lapland which we will never forget, experiencing both the unique Tree Hotel and the unbelievable Ice Hotel. Well organised, wonderful experience and the husky dog sledding was a fabulous excursion with incredibly well-behaved and calm dogs that are gentle and obviously very well cared for and a pleasure to be with. Everything ran smoothly, we had a marvellous time and would thoroughly recommend it. Thank you!

Friendly team provided a well planned holiday to Iceland and Sweden with detailed itinery/instructions provided. In Iceland the the Wilderness Cabin was excellent and was very well equiped and plenty of food was provided. The guides for all of our trips were excellent, friendly and informative. In Sweden the Abisko Mountain Lodge also had a very friendly team and a relaxed atmosphere with great food.

Thoroughly enjoyable trip to Abisko in Sweden to see the northern lights. Well planned by Weekend a la carte and great itinerary. Abisko mountain lodge standard rooms are very very small (the option does exist to upgrade), however this was more than made up for by the exceptional dining experience provided by the hotel and the superb customer service. We were lucky enough to witness the northern lights on several occasions and would definitely recommend.

We had the best time ever, the lodge was stunning, the room very cosy and well maintained. The trips exceeded expectation leaving us with very happy memories. All the staff made us feel welcome and enhanced our stay. The whole trip was very well organised and we would certainly book more trips in the future.

Our trip to Iceland was a great combination of experiences with just the right balance of support from brilliant guides and freedom to do our own thing. Having selected our itinerary our confirmation pack gave us all the detail we needed and everything ran smoothly and professionally. Our cabin was charming, comfortable and more than adequately stocked with food. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to experience a wonderful country.

We are just back from our Weekend A La Carte to Iceland. We had an amazing time, but hoped you’d, like a bit of feedback. The Blue Lagoon was a relaxing welcome to Iceland. The coach transport was seamless. The hotel was in an ideal location in the centre of Reykjavik close to the shops, restaurants and harbour. It may be helpful to supply a more comprehensive map, as the bus dropped us off at bus stop 3 and we promptly got lost trying to find the hotel, as the directions we had were from bus stop 1. The hotel staff were really welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and our request for an additional duvet was fulfilled immediately. The breakfast was amazing, very good choice and lots of it. Really enjoyed the super jeep tour, we couldn’t go up onto the glacier as it was a white out up there, but our local driver took us to a waterfall and black sandy beach instead. He had a very good knowledge of the area and didn’t stop talking, which was really great. Please pass on our thanks to Omar, from Mountain Taxis. Unfortunately we didn’t see the Northern lights on the cruise and the Northern Light Jeep tour was cancelled due to the poor conditions. We also didn’t see any whales, but did see a pod of dolphins swimming close to the boat. Our only regret is that the weekend wasn’t long enough, to give us another chance to see either the lights or whales.

Thank you for your detailed feedback Suzi and I am so pleased you had such a good time in Iceland despite the bad weather which sadly affected a couple of your trips. We will be processing your cancelled Northern Lights Activity Refund today, and I have raised with the company why you were dropped at the wrong bus stop. Our apologies for that. Regards Abigail

The organisation, support, service given by Weekend a la Carte was second to none from the moment we enquired about a holiday to the moment we came back. The airline, hotels, local tour companies and their personnel were first class. Being greeted by one of the hotel owners, local tour company changing the itinerary due to forecast bad weather all made the holiday seem more personal. Only fault was that no arrangements had been made for a northern lights show but doe to nature not the holiday arrangements.

Went to Weekend a la Carte Aurora Nights for my Honeymoon in Iceland - everything was taken care of, I did not have to worry about a thing which was great! All of their excursions were by local people who knew what they were doing - and only dealt with small groups with their tours - making it a lovely experience! All the Hotels and tour guides knew it was our Honeymoon thanks to Aurora Nights, which was a lovely touch to keep getting well-wishes from everyone as we travelled to new places!

Fantastic trip from start to finish, we couldn’t have asked for more. We had a wonderful stay at Mattarahkka, the food was delicious, our guides made us feel extremely welcome and activities were superb. The weather was amazing, and we were incredibly lucky to have been able to experience the northern lights twice, the first of which was an outstanding display! My 50th birthday trip was truly one I will never forget.

Bus and van drivers were right on schedule and the detailed information we received accurately described the days’ activities. We really enjoyed the Ice Hotel and the excellent meals there. Our only regret is that we had two nights of clouds so did not get to see the Northern Lights at the Abisko Station. I would highly recommend this trip to my friends.

I can honestly say this was probably the best place we have ever stayed. Johan has built a little bit of heaven. The scenery from the cabin is stunning and the whole meal experience was wonderful. I cannot express how greatful we are to all involved especially Johan who made us feel like royalty.
