“I purchased two vinyl records (Passion Play and Heavy Horses, Jethro Tull). The media were graded VG+, and indeed, they appread clean and well looked after. However, I found both to have considerable surface noise and I rated them as G or G+. I managed to raise Passion Play to VG (VG+ in places) by thorough cleaning (using Pro-Ject VC e) but Heavy Horses remains only G+ after the same process.”

We are so sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the grading on the two records you purchased from us. I can see that my colleague has reached out to offer a free return for a full refund, and I am pleased to see that you have been able to clean one of the albums and are now satisfied that it is a VG+. However, I can only apologise if the other one is still not consistent with the grade we gave it, and you would still be more than welcome to return one or both of them for a full refund. “Saw an advert for Atlas records pop up on my Facebook feed, and having recently started collecting vinyl again, I thought I would give them a go. I found a couple of albums that I wanted that were priced at about £32 for the pair, condition was given as excellent. I placed the order on a Sunday night, and the goods came on the Wednesday, and were very well packaged. They were both gatefold covers and in top notch condition, the vinyl was spotless and played like a dream. I will definitely be using Atlas again.”
