Weird. I don't understand the other reviews Seems like they just collect people for their database. E.g. 7 Aug 2024. They try to record all calls. However, this is your private data. You must give express, specific, and informed consent. Another example is that I applied for a job during covid when employers were citing employee shortages, yet I was rejected without any human contact. Job applicants (especially experienced ones) are people. We all should be treated with dignity and respect.

I initially had a very brief phone call with Amy about the role after which I received an e-mail. The process initially was to be two stages of interviews for the IT Techication III role. Upon completing the second stage of the interview Amy advised that I would receive feedback on Friday. When Friday came I was told that there was a third interview with the manager on the following Monday (contradicting the original e-mail) and that I would be given a decision the same afternoon. At the end of Monday's interview with the manager, he stated that the HR lady was away that day but that I would receive a call the following morning. I heard nothing back that day and just got a brief email from Amy saying that she "had an offer but was driving so will call back tomorrow", without stating what the offer was. I was extremely frustrated at this point and had soured on the job, The company seemed very incompetent and disrespectful and I decided to withdraw. Amy phoned me the following morning stating that she had just incorrectly conveyed the information the company had given her so I decided to take the offer. I then cancelled the other interviews I had upcoming and let the other agencies know I was no longer looking for work. The contract took a while to come through and when it did the job title had changed from "IT Technician III" to "IT Technician", from what I was told at the interview these stages confer what level of access you get. Neither of my previous IT roles had this type of set-up, instead essentially have access to everything the service desk needed from the start.; Therefore it would have been a huge step down in my career so I decided to pursue a role more suited to my skills and experience. I have been in the job market now for over a decade, and most roles I have had I have got through agencies, and I have never had an experience as dishonest and/or incompetent. The ending result is that a lot of time and energy was wasted by myself, the company and Ashdown's. Shockingly, after informing Amy I had accepted a different offer and was not proceeding with the role, she asked why suggesting it was "the money". I was too flabbergasted to even respond - after all the reservations about the job title and the general conduct of the company, and never mentioning "the money", she still could not understand why I was not comfortable proceeding with the role. The role I did end up taking was the same salary, but I chose it over this role as the roles and responsibilities in the roles were ones that would build on my existing skills and experiences, rather than ignoring them.

Said to me the job was confirmed 100% and made me take a day off. I later get a call saying they have found someone else. Good thing I didn't come in to give my details. Very unprofessional.

Awful recruitment 'agency'. Not only are their consultants unprofessional and rude on the phone, but they also are after cheap labour. Instead of negotiating salaries based on a candidates' skills and experience, they try and secure the lowest salary based on "previous earnings". Its an insult! Do yourself a favour and skip this agency. Trust me, they are not worth the trouble! There are plenty of other more professional agencies to deal with.

I am sorry you feel you have had a bad experience with our company, I can assure you this is not how we operate as a business. I can't find any details of having had any relationship with you from the email address you have supplied and without giving your name, you are hard to identify. If you would like to send me details of your experience directly I will personally look into this. I have sent you my email address in a private message. John Lynes Managing Director
I have spoken to one of the member of the team today, and she advised me that they are more client based rather candidate and I was advised to contact other recruitment agencies. As a HR professional I could not believe what I have heard.
