“Having brought decking last year, I thought I would go back as I had another project in my garden, i got a phone call ref my order, some was not in stock but was asked if I was happy to take some larger lengths at not extra cost, which I was happy with. Delivery was on time and driver very helpful. Can't fault anything on both occasions , would definitely use again ,and recommend them... Thanks.. Mick”

“Asked to write a review whilst still waiting for order!!! Ended up cancelling, heard nothing by way of an update and never contacted about order without having to chase myself. 11 days later still no order or contact. Awaiting refund”

“Failed to deliver first apparently the driver ran out of driving hours!? Then when i eventually got my order it was a mess! I'd ordered fully finished skirting and architrave but it was filthy dirty and soaking wet, as all the plastic packaging had been split and a number of lengths didn't even have any packaging they had clearly just been thrown on the back of a open flat bed truck. They might be okay at delivering rough sawn timber but for fully finished items steer well clear! you have been warned. Also to be fair I contacted them with my complaint with pictures and got NO reply at all. If I could have put the carpet fitters off then I wouldn't have used any of it I would have sent it all back! as it was I've fitted it and had to sand and paint a large portion which defeats the point of paying a premium for a fully finished product. Thanks for nothing Laver. Ian Martin”

“They were very friendly and helpful. Delivery was on time, the pieces were cut as instructed and the price was good. The only disappointment was the quality of the cuts. The wood was decorative laminated pine board but either they used a ripsaw or the blade was blunt as much of the end grain was ripped and a 3" splinter was torn out of 1 piece. Nothing that can't be hidden or repaired but still extra work.”

“Well impressed! It was a doddle ordering on line...then the local depot checked my order with me to ensure that it was what I wanted. I then collected the timber almost immediately. Great prices and great service”

“I had to make a telephone call to the help line as I was not contacted within the 2 days specified, to be told that delivery would be in a few days time and that I would be contacted. A few days later I called the help line again as there was no phone call, to be told that the delivery was on the lorry that day to be delivered - no phone call to let me know about delivery. On the plus side the delivery driver was very helpful and friendly. The products I ordered were in good condition.”

“Received delivery of timber order last Friday. The whole buying process was very good. The cost was very competitive against local builders merchants and the order big enough to make the delivery to Whitby worthwhile I hope. The timber is for building a quality summerhouse / art room so it was nice to see good straight regular lengths, protected and carefully delivered. Thanks to Roy and the Laver team.”
