The service from start to finish has been excellent. I placed my order for the timber, prices are extremely good, considering local timber yard wanted much more! The delivery driver was very helpful and polite and I would certainly reuse Laver's again.... 100% professional throughout the whole process, pleasure to do business with.... Thankyou

Ordered online one day and received a call the following day to agree a delivery day and approximate time. Delivered as arranged. Product ordered met all expectations. Brilliant service all round.

Very easy on line ordering system ensured I could calculate and obtain appropriate long lengths and select my product specifically - preordering it for collection. Intended to cut some lengths to size in the car park, but the staff did it on their machine for me free of charge. Staff helped me load the van, by passing me the timber while allowing me time to position and stack it to my satisfaction - efficient but no rush. Refreshments offered while I waited for the timber to be cut. Excellent overall experience, and a cost competitive purchase.

Placed order for timber and Lavers made contact and explained timber was out of stock but would be available within 3 working days. Waited a week and chased the material to be told awaiting supplier and would contact them for anticipated delivery date after which I would then be informed accordingly true to form no follow up call was received so I cancelled the order.

Good value for money and quick delivery. Unfortunately however the attitude and manner of the lorry driver/delivery man was terrible. I found him to be rude, unfriendly and extremely unhelpful. Worst of all, the gentleman would not step foot onto the premises beyond the front drive. This was really disappointing, especially as I had spoken to a member of Laver staff on the phone the week before and he had not mentioned this. It meant that my partner and I had to take time out of our working day in order to move the timber we had ordered into our garden. This is probably the worst experience with a deliver driver I have ever had. So disappointing that this happened otherwise this would have been a really positive review. As it is, I was stunned by the rudeness of whom I met.

Mr Donnelly, I would like to apologise on behalf of Laver Online for the attitude of our delivery personnel. I have forwarded your feedback onto the Depot Director who will investigate this matter further. In regards to the delivery of the goods, unfortunately, due to insurance guidelines, our delivery personnel are unable to enter private residences and, therefore, delivery is to the kerb-side only. This information is clearly stated in the Delivery/Collection Details on our website (http://www.laveronline.co.uk/delivery-collection-details-i5), a link to this information is also included in Order Confirmation email. "Due to insurance guidelines, delivery will be to kerb-side only. Delivery personnel are unable to enter private residences, so the recipient of the goods is responsible for any additional lifting once the initial delivery has been made."

Fantastic customer service . genuinely helpful staff at the depot. Slightly intimidating for diy customers but asked them to slow down and got exactly what I wanted. Much cheaper than wickes and b&q.

Price was very good but delivery disappointing. The Web site says 3 to 5 business days for delivery. Order was made on Saturday, but having heard nothing by the following Thursday we had to make a call to be told that they only deliver to our area every Wednesday. Therefore 12 days from the date of order to delivery, 8 business days. Since most people plan their work around the delivery to have no communication until we checked is not good enough.

Mr Kimm, Thank you for the positive feedback on our prices. I would like to apologise for the issues regarding delivery, we do deliver to your area, although at present this service is not as regular as we would hope. Two of the items which you order were not available at your nearest depot and had to be transferred from another. This process takes an additional 3 working days, this information can be found within the FAQs section of our website. Unfortunately on this occasion the Hebburn depot failed to contact you regarding the delay. I have contacted our sales personnel to remind them our order and delivery procedures to ensure this failure does not happen again. We are continuingly trying to improve our service and we thank you once again for feedback.

umm.. when the wood arrives I'll let you know! Now it has arrived it wasn't the size I asked for...... I asked for 2.2m lengths and got double that, going to be difficult to manipulate, didn't turn it away as I need to get cracking today as i've got the day off work.

Mr Bamford, Thank you for your feedback. I would like to apologise for the delay in receiving your order. This delay was due to your nearest depot not having enough stock of the 2.4m lengths of decking, which you ordered. On this occasion the depot took the decision of providing you 4.8m lengths to ensure delivery. This is standard practice given that the 4.8m can be cut in half to provide the lengths which you require, unfortunately they should have contacted you prior to dispatch to confirm this was acceptable. I have contacted the depot regarding our order procedures to ensure this miscommunication does not occur again in the future.

Good prices. Good web page. Easy ordering......or so I thought. Much confusion over delivery. One of the reasons I placed my order was that I believed I could get delivery to my area (SY20) as described. Having taken the order I was then contacted to be told that they should not have taken my order as they only deliver to my area once a month! Anyway, long story short....they did arrange a sooner delivery, though still took nearly 2 weeks. Nice chap turned up to deliver and all was well in the end. I still gave 4 stars, but you need to polish up your delivery information.

Very pleased with the hardwood faced plywood I purchased. Ordered on Monday afternoon, and I got a call to arrange delivery on Wednesday. My order arrived as expected, and with no problems. Great products and service, highly recommended.

Daniel, I have spoken with our Oldbury Depot and can confirm that we attempted to deliver your item on Monday 28th July, as arranged. Unfortunately no one was at the address to accept the delivery and despite our efforts to contact you on the day the item was returned to the supplier as per our Delivery Policy. This information can be found within our Delivery/Collection Policy section of our website. We feel this 1 star review is very harsh given that we had arranged and confirmed a delivery date with you but no one was available to accept the delivery.
