“After having specified and reiterated the exact finish of wood I was looking for, I was sent the incorrect product. Causing the project unnecessary delay and stress. This was after I was charged three times for the same product due to a substandard website.”

“Excellent service . I want to commend Richard Priest and Alastair Hacket who dealt with my order. I was visiting Birmingham from Brighton and they dealt with my order by phone and email. They were excellent and helped me tremendously and made sure I got the product I needed and at the right time of my visit .”

“I couldn't fault the helpfulness of the guy on the counter when I called at the Oldbury Depot to collect my order. His general manner and helpfulness is the only reason I've given a 'Good' rating. The condition of the items I had ordered really left a lot to be desired. My order was for 24 x Decking Spindles and what I did find extremely disappointing was the condition the spindles were in. The whole stack from which my order was fulfilled was absolutely wet through. If I had not had so much difficulty finding a Company who stocked the Cheshire Mouldings Stop Chamfered Spindles which I particularly wanted then I certainly would have refused to accept what was being offered to me. They were in a terrible condition and I was extremely surprised a company such as Laver were selling items in this state. I had also travelled 38 miles (76 mile round trip) to collect them so I had to also take that into account when deciding whether to accept them or not. I took them home and had to put them out in the sun each day to dry them out before being able to use them and before they were dry enough to apply the decking oil on them. So all in all regret this purchase was not a marvellous experience. Colin Brain”

“Very disappointed in the service from your company after initial excellent help when enquiring about worktops. Ordered & paid for worktops on wed 20th May 2015. Not contacted so phoned 27/05/2015 & got put through to London depot. Someone phoned back approx 1 hr later to say order coming from Bradford & that someone would phone next day, thurs, to arrange delivery date for next week. Have received no further phone call. Tried to phone depot this am & no reply. Very very disappointed with customer service .. just hope if & when worktops arrive that they're up to scratch! !!”

“On line service is easy to use and very efficient, telesales girl was very knowlegable answering my one question, the dispatch very helpful with the time of delivery and the driver very patient and full of good humour during the unload in the rain. “I'll definitely recommend Lavers to others. I ordered online and customer service called to say they would be a slight delay with delivery ( not a problem as they let me know straight away) The delivery came on the day specified and the products are perfect. Really pleased, thank you!”

“I placed an order for 13 sheets of 18mm and six sheets of 9mm Medite MDF. The 18mm arrived but not the 9mm still waiting. There was no communication from the office but at least the driver was very helpful. Just a normal to poor level of service and communication which is what I have come to expect from the majority of suppliers.”

“I asked for a Friday afternoon delivery, but was told this could not be guaranteed and that someone wold call me to confirm the delivery time. However no one called so I waited in from 8;30am. At 5pm the delivery had still not arrived so I called to see if I would still be receiving it. The lady told me she would call me back but never did. So at 5;45 I called again, I was told it would defiantly be arriving. At 6;30 it finally arrived. Ill try Wicks next time...”

“I order quite a lot of pre-finished Kota skirting boards and architraves - most of which were damaged inside there wrappings on delivery and could never be used. Hats off to Laver though who looked into it and found a supplier problem. I thought it might be a battle to get a refund but communications with the company were first rate and was refunded without issue. Would definitely recommend, but stay away from Kota products regardless of supplier you chose.”
