“Approved foods have a wide range of foods at discounted prices, some heavily reduced and some just by a few pence per item, but it all adds up and the quality is good, with well known brands like Heinz etc.”

“Such a brilliant way to help with the food waste problem. I've had some great deals with the Lucky Box, ok the dates are short but on items that don't always need them. Approved food is delivered swiftly and extremely well packed in boxes. Have been telling friends about my bargain shops since my first box arrived.”

“I have been using approved food for several years now and have saved a substantial amount of money. Sometimes there are some very good savings to be had on product I use on a daily basis. I would recommend them especially as by selling the products that would go into landfill.”

“The prices are great and the service is very good. My only reservation is the quality of the foodstuff (particularly chocolate) that's well beyond its BB date. Our family definitely felt the chocolate we received was past its best (we had two different brands), I suppose explaining why manufacturers have a Best Before date in the first place. If you can accept the tradeoff of lower quality for a much lower price then it works but otherwise, I would stick to buying items that really don't matter if they're past their BB date (e.g. washing powder, tinned goods, soap, etc.).”

“No live telephone answered. Always voice mail. Ordered 5 x lindt chocolatier chocolate Box 470g in my order for £25 but only received 4 boxes. Charged full amount fir my order. Emailed Approved Foods. Have to wait 24 hours for a response from them.”
