“Love approved food My last shop I bought a Brexit box only £2.99 When I opened it I thought it was the funniest things I have seen considering the majority of us are all Brexit out There was pasta tomatoes pineapple slices Just some of the food in there but all over the inside of the box where tea bags lots of tea bags single pack tea bags which on closer inspection had me laughing and thinking only us Brits There where tea bags for all English breakfast to start your day Green tea bags to help your metabolism through out the day Brexit is on TV let's have a peppermint tea I'm getting indigestion No that hasn't worked it's the end of the day I need to settle let's have a camomile tea If all else fails there was 1 yes only 1 coffee bag for emergencies only ha ha ha Thank you Approved Foods you made my day xx”

“Company dispatches quickly, but in general, I've learned that manufacturer Best Before dates are there for a reason. Out of date products containing wheat often taste a little stale, as do crisps. Chocolate often has a bloom, and sometimes tastes unpleasant - even just a month over. Occasionally you can be lucky, but to know you've paid £15 instead of £22 for a box of prestigious or niche brand chocolates is no consolation when they're ruined. You just feel bad for the waste of money, and I've learned that it's too risky to think of buying prestigious chocolates as a gift. Cheaper to pay the £22 from the retailer. Big brand confectionery is usually OK, even a few months out of date - perhaps they err on the side of caution. Bulk boxes of such are often a good buy. Anything with oil in it can taste slightly off if it's more than a very short time past the BB date - check the date before you buy. Probably doesn't harm you, but they're no joy to eat, and another type of item I've ended up throwing out. Tinned foods are probably the best bet. Alcohol is usually OK. Jams, chutneys etc are usually OK. The best buys have been exotic items (specialist Greek honeys, for example) that are well in date and sell on Amazon for usually at least a third more, and cosmetics, strangely enough - often the box has been slightly damaged but the product is fine. I recommend the Burts Bees range, for example - excellent discounts, excellent product, packaging usually fine. Sizing can be an issue too: the price reduction sounds good until you look at the size, often non-standard. Supermarket deals can sometimes work out cheaper, you have to check. In date doesn't guarantee it'll be OK either - generally OK but sometimes isn't - perhaps retailers hadn't stored them correctly after manufacture. You won't know til you open them. I admit I'm feeling a little negative about it as I've just received my last box and found several packets of crisps flattened and forced open by the placing of a box of 10 kilos of tinned goods on top of them, spreading the crisp smithereens all over the other goods in the process. The others are just flattened. Half of the boxes of chocolate teacakes were likewise crushed in another box. It's not often there are packing problems - in fairness it's usually packed well - but that's a lot of items in this box that are unusable so I wasn't overjoyed. I tasted an unflattened teacake: in date, but tasted moderately stale, sigh. As everything in shopping, it's caveat emptor. You win some, you lose some. Overall you won't be worse off than shopping at the supermarket, and you may find some really good offbeat bargains, but don't be drawn in by the size of RRP savings alone - consider the dates as well as the type of product.”

“There are some good buys to be had but also a lot of products I wouldn't normally buy. The packaging of orders and delivery times are excellent though and I have never had any issues with the products bought. “Really enjoyed my last parcel as I had a £1 mystery box as well as an Italian, store cupboard and Breakfast boxes. Lots of lovely items and really great value,(a part from the Olives, yuk!!). I have to be honest and state that I have not ordered for several months due to the fact that there seems to be less and less food items on offer and more cosmetics, perfume etc, which is why only 4 stars.”

“Order arrived faster then expected, items separated in 3 small boxes then all put in 1 big box. Jars well packed but coconut oil jar was shattered. I peeled of the glass, washed the solid oil under luke warm water, melted the oil and poured into another jar. Worth the £££ and I already have a list of items I will be ordering next time.”
