5 years ago I moved home. After I moved, I found that my harman Kardon speaker was missing (Onyx studio). It is quite big and round, so difficult to miss. I contacted the company but they asked the mover and the movers replied they don't know. No protection in case items are missing.

I have two men arrive at my house to pick up a big chest of drawers straight away the man said if I can’t help him lift it he couldn’t do the job. I have a very bad back. I could not help my son moved it by itself. I told him it came apart, but he didn’t listen. He brought his friend from the van. He said he wanted £25 help lift it I had nothing less than £20 in my wallet he took my £20 and found out it came in two just I had told him they left I felt I had just been robbed if they do this with every one else they making a lot of money don’t use this firm they should where masks

The initial phone call seemed very friendly and helpful; the company didn't want exact dimensions or photos of our furniture/boxes although these were offered. A time slot was booked easily but it is clear that the company uses sub-contractors. The Sprinter van (08 plate with no company logo) turned up on time with 2 men, one of whom had limited English and the other none. No blankets for furniture which I had to provide (and which they kept after delivery). No staps in the van to tie down items. They said a TV wasn't on their list even though my wife had specifically itemised it on the phone and tried to suggest that a large bureau was misnamed (it was not!). They then couldn't get through to the parent company by phone as they had to use the same number as the general public and were left hanging after making contact! The driver also said that they couldn't fit all our things and their next load (from a different location) because ours was underestimated! Eventually, we kept the TV as this was apparently going to add significantly to the cost. To be fair to the driver and his mate, they eventually took our things from Beverly down to Bath. However, they then tried to get my son to pay for "a second person" even though specificaly we asked just for one driver! He refused, fortunately. Any parent removal company that doesn't do a proper volumetric assessment of the proposed load should be regarded with suspicion. Moreover, you will be at the mercy of any subcontracted individual who pretends to be a removal expert if you use this company....

We booked AnyVan on 02/08/2024, paying nearly £600 to move an air conditioning unit, several pieces of furniture, and over 40 boxes. What should have been a simple move turned into a complete disaster, and we are extremely unhappy with how it was handled. We were told the truck would arrive between 8 am and 6 pm since we hadn’t picked a specific time. After booking, we realized we needed to add an extra stop, some additional items, and also needed help moving items from the second floor to the ground floor. We paid an extra £98 on top of the original bill, thinking these changes would be covered. But on the day of the move, everything went wrong. We waited from 8 am, but instead of a truck, we got three separate cancellation calls from drivers. The first two drivers had health emergencies, and the third one just decided not to show up after accepting the job. Finally, at 4 pm, a "recovery team" from London called, saying they might arrive by 8 pm. When they finally showed up at 11 pm—much later than promised—they were clearly exhausted and hadn’t even had a proper meal in over 12 hours. They were polite and apologized, saying they would talk to their company about getting us some compensation for the ridiculous wait. But that wasn’t the end of our problems. During the move, the drivers told us their job sheet only mentioned moving items from the ground floor, not the second floor, even though we had clearly asked for this. This was the main reason we paid the extra £98, yet we ended up having to move the heavy items ourselves. To make things worse, we then had to drive to our destination at midnight—a tiring and potentially dangerous three-hour journey. The drivers, who had already been working for over eight hours, were also put in a tough situation. By the time everything was finally done, it was 5 am the next morning, and our belongings were left in a mess. The next day, we contacted customer service, hoping they would make things right. Instead, we were met with a dismissive attitude. The agent questioned whether we had even informed the live chat agent about the second-floor move. After checking the records, they admitted it was their mistake—the live chat agent hadn’t updated our order. Even though they made this mistake, they only offered us a measly £20 as compensation, insisting the £98 we paid was just for the extra stop and items—not the second-floor move, which was the main reason of why we were willing to pay extra. They also did not give us any compensation for the late arrival. They even said that because we did not pay extra to book a specific time, the truck could arrive anytime, completely disregarding what they said in the confirmation, which was 8 am to 6 pm. This experience has left us very frustrated and disappointed. AnyVan’s lack of professionalism and care for their customers is shocking. We wouldn’t recommend their services to anyone. This was one of the most stressful and frustrating experiences we’ve ever had.

Van candition was bad, driver demanded extra amount for small house hold items not listed, while on booking the dealing person was reassured that he understands and aware as I am moving complete house there could me many small items that couldn't be listed on itinerary. Later on they deducted 46 pounds from my account without informing me that I accidentally noticed a month later while I was checking my statement. Then I contacted anyvan for this deduction, they took almost 3,4 weeks with a reply that they are unable to locate the transaction and I can disbute this transaction with my bank. Bank have to cancel my debit card and issue a new one due to this dubious transaction. But my amount still not credited to my account. Note that I moved my house in last week of july.

Don't book this removal company. They damaged a knob on my Oak Dresser, they didn't take a small dresser and when I asked for a refund they were not helpful, I now have to get a local company to move my small dresser which will cost me. Awful service

My worst nightmare these men of no experience of packing. I am here 3 weeks my wardrobe bed is still flat pack I am now looking someone to put it together for me. Nothing went right and the move was very expensive and I was told all the wrong things about the company what they do. All they did was to move me and throw everything in the rooms not sorted. I would not recommend these people thank you for nothing.

We had a long distance move over 3 days. They arrived late on the 1st day saying they had to buy the boxes en route. They charged me a huge amount for extra boxes after arriving late again the second day. They then almost threw our possessions into the boxes, & did not mark which rooms the boxes were for. The sofas have not been covered but just chucked into the storage, with boxes stacked up haphazardly. We cannot find anything as boxes are unmarked, & the sadle of my electric bike is missing. Basically a total shambles & I would never recommend this company to anyone. I was told that whatever stress I was under regarding moving, the packing & moving would be the most stress free part!!!! You have to be joking!

I really would like to be able to say… I really would like to be able to say great things about them, the idea is good and it kinda works. However, they broke one of my house plants, the overcharged me extra at the moment of loading because I placed a mug size plant into the larger house plant pot that was booked. They also lost one of my lamps. Because I haven't immediately spotted the missing item upon delivery and signed it, they are now lifted from any responsibility. My faulf.

Excellent start off customer service to start but everything goes down hill very fast from their. The 2 guys that did our move took their time. It took them a solid hour before they started to load the van & then had to be sitting down & have a break after every item loaded. The previous time we moved it took 2 guys 3 hours to completely load everything from my house, with Anyvan it took them 6 hours and in the end they left quite a bit of stuff behind claiming the van was too heavy. I paid extra for them to disconnect 2 washing machine and an American fridge freezer, At the final destination they only connected 1 washing machine, the fridge freezer wasn't working (I had to pay someone else to come and assembly and connect it properly) they never refunded the money for the service not provided. Quite a bit of my furniture has been scratch, so overall very unhappy with the service received - & quite discussted with the fact that the driver asked me to please give them a 5star rating (if you want a 5star rating give 5star service)

The guys had a problem taking off their shoes on a wet rainy day when I had just spent £4,000 on new carpets. They did not know what shoe covers were! They arrived with a CheckaTrade sticker on their van but again seemed to be telling me they weren’t CheckaTrade, but the van was 🤣 All in all a shoddy set up

Stupidly applied for an online quote for moving /relocation. Been inundated by calls, texts and emails since despite me saying I was just after a ball part figure for a future move. Now bordering on harassment.. I won't be going ahead/recommend this company on this basis. Moving is stressful enough without this kind of bombardment.

Dreadful, go elsewhere. We were less than impressed with this shower. We booked a move for a 3 bedroom house with all that would entail paying Anyvan in excess of £2000 for the dubious privilege of this. My partner had a conversation with their office and we assured we would get two LWB Luton vans to move us with our house being cleared on the 2nd and our possessions being moved to our new house on 3rd.We double checked and updated our list on the Thursday on line after we had paid in full. Moving is stressful enough without what happened next. Two men appeared with a Luton and with our pre-updated list, I am not blaming the two lads who turned up. When we called Any Van to query this we were met with a very rude man who told us that my partner had never spoken to anyone and that I had never sent an updated list. Then I learn from the two guys here that they have only been paid £750 Anyvan and, that given this, they would only move what was on the original list not our subsequent update, for £750 I can’t say that I blame them. They also stated that Anyvan do this frequently. We then had to borrow a van at short notice and move the balance ourselves

2 stars because the actual removal men were very good. Did all the moving with no issues and arrived promptly. My issue is with the company, they inflate the price so much it’s a complete rip off. They charge based on every item you include on your list and charge way over what they should do. Better off going direct to the actual removal guys themselves. The man told me he would have done it £100 cheaper. He charges based on a set price based the size of the lorry needed and not the items. On top of this Anyvan get 75% of the price and the actual guys who work really hard doing all the moving and upkeep of their own lorry only get 25%. Next time I move I will go straight to them and avoid the rip off prices from AnyVan.

Unhappy that originarily I had 2 vans booked but only one turned up< I was then charged an additional £211 for extra goods. They left behind a large bird bath and damaged an oil painting. The men were pleasent and helpful but were not overly careful, the motor mower was loaded upside down thereby leaking oil and causing starting issues for several days on arrival, large pictures were not wrapped in blankets as expected.

I can break this into two parts - the AnyVan experience and the driver experience. The drivers were fine although they spoke very little English and baulked (understandably) at being asked to carry boxes a reasonable distance through a pitch dark garden. I had brought this up with AnyVan before I even booked and asked if it would be possible to collect one day and deliver the next, i was told that would depend on the driver having storage and that they would be ok - they had torches! I information varied according to who you spoke to. You are certainly not assigned a personal contact. I spoke to a different person every time I called. One man insisted he would call me back before he went home - he didn't. The staff are all very pleasant but they won't volunteer information. I was told by one that I should have asked for storage in advance, not wait for the driver info, at an additional cost of £300! The price starts well but there are so many add ons! You need to read the ts and cs or you could get caught and nobody asks the pertinent questions when booking. For example they will not move things upstairs if they have not been warned in advance. You are told you will get the driver info the day before. I asked my driver if I could add some things on as advised. He said he would talk to AnyVan in the morning. If he hadn't been able to they would have reasigned drivers at - guess what - a hefty additional charge! Fat lot of good giving me the driver details the day before - the next day mine was changed anyway, along with the collection time etc. Real time tracking is a joke! So basically AnyVan don't communicate with the driver or yourself and don't offer solitions to problems until it is too late. I much preferred the old system when it worked as a comparison site and you could address your questions to the driver and not to a faceless, unknowledgeable agent who is simply going through the motions until tea time. I don't think I'd use them again.

I suggest that if you can find another affordable van service, don’t come for the one from AnyVan. Their priorities are getting you to pay and book quickly but once that is done you would have a hard time contacting them. If you don't believe me, you can try contacting them for booking and also enquiring problems/questions.. you'll see the huge difference. The person who was taking my booking claimed that I can get into the van as passenger and follow them until they drop my things off at the designated location, it was so specific to the point I discussed and told the person who was taking my booking "You don't have to count my handbag since it will be with me when I follow the van right?" then he went "Yea yea, no problem at all... Shall we proceed with the booking?" (I am sure they have recorded the call and they can refer to this part if they want to twist words or something idk). However I only found out that isn't the case at all when the driver come take up my things. The driver told me that he don't have license to fetch people but things only and they are just not allowed to have another person in the van. "Because of them wanting to quickly get you to agree to booking and pay they just say yes to everything" that's what the driver said. I was stuck at one location until I can find a transport to the drop off location myself. It was such a mess and horrible experience! Putting 2 starts because the driver did a good job handling my things and being honest about the company 'agreeing to anything but not fulfilling it just because they want money quickly.' Don’t trust their sales person’s words, it ain’t accurate.

Ok, so the website is good and booking is easy. You get a phone call to confirm the details are correct and confirm your booking, all good so far. The day of the move arrives and collection takes place, it gets to 5pm and car has not arrived so I call up to be told it cannot be delivered today (after being assured it would be same day delivery and rescheduling my workload to ensure I was home to accept delivery). Vehicle arrived at 1pm the following day!!! Called Anyvan who offered £20 for the inconvenience which frankly is an insult after being a day late delivering and causing me to have time off work at short notice. Cannot recommend based on my experience.

On the day of the move the movers thought the hallway leading to my flat was too long, called up Anyvan and demanded more cash. Anyvan subsequently called me up and demanded that I pay another £50 on-top of the almost £200 I had already paid. if i didn't pay right away, the movers, who had already started to move things until they'd heard my phone ring, wouldn't start move anything else. This had not been communicated with me beforehand. They had only asked what items to move, where they could park – right outside the main door – and how many flights of stairs there were – two. Had this been communicated on the day before when Anyvan had called, then I would've had a choice to seek out other quotes from other movers or to accept the charge. In these circumstances, when I had taken time off from work to move and had already packed, it felt very much like a shakedown. What makes it even more worrisome is that there are several other similar stories out there.

The website needs to make it clear regarding waiting time for keys. £96 for 2hrs as I was at the end of a chain. The movers were efficient and courteous.
