Beware of scammer company. I moved with AnyVan 6 months ago to a house in Irvine. After six months I have to move again. I call them. I pay when two very young and unprofessional kids arrive at my house. After two hours trying to understand what to do, they run away without telling me. nothing and anyvan doesn't want to give me my money back. unfortunately it happens that a company works well then to save money it hires non-professional people and things change. watch out for scams.

The removal team arrived, wouldn't speak to me much and I showed them to my fridge freezer and other items. When removing the fridge freezer they shut the door so I couldn't see and they ripped my lino up in the kitchen, took a picture and blamed me for the damage! The image they provided has the water from the fridge over it so you can see it was them! The back of the fridge is dented too. They then didn't check the item list either, they forgot to take my tumble dryer. Absolute disgrace of a service. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and would steer very clear if you value your items.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR HOUSE REMOVALS I've used Anyvan in the past before but they seemed to have deteriorated recently. I did a one bedroom flat move to a house 2 hrs drive away and initial charges were about £460 but after we had loaded the van they up the price to £720 which was almost double and said if I don't pay, they wont deliver anything at all and there is no refund. I find there is no transparency in how they calculate these charges as the driver himself kept changing his mind during the delivery and it opens people up to being overcharged especially when they know you are desperate. I felt kind of played tbh, that he waited until the last moment to increase the charge and then threatened and pressured me into paying saying things like I am wasting everyone's time and saying "if you don't want I'll take out all your things now and leave. You are delaying me." It was honestly a pretty upsetting and expensive experience and I would recommend other companies like Hello Vans which my housemate used (after Anyvans denied her delivery on the day itself with no refund at all and just left), as they are a lot more flexible, upfront with their costs and better customer service.

WARNING. I have moved with anyvan.com. Please don't use this company they are scammers I paid for pack move and unpack and it took six hours to get to my new place. They blackmailed me to pay £300 extra on the pavement outside my old flat. They didn't unpack and damage so much stuff I'm going to trading standards. This is a good website for proper reviews of them not the many other sites that give them a good review. They knew I was disabled

ANYVAN charged me £417 for an item NOT picked up; it's still in my hallway I have paid £417 to deliver a Washing machine to Amazon in Staffordshire. On pickup day, I phoned customer services and was worried that the drivers hadn't come and was worried that Amazon would be closed. When the driver did come I was still talking to ANYVAN customer services agent; I passed the phone to the driver at around 2:40pm the customer services agent asked him, could he make it by 5pm as Amazon closes at that time according to ANYVAN agent; the driver said he couldn't make it by then, the agent threatened the van driver that he would be liable; he held his ground. The agent asked the driver what are your overnight charges to hold the item; he replied he was not working the next day. the agent replied Oh God! The agent then blamed me; quoting their rescheduling charges: To reshedule a pickup ANYVAN charge 50%; over £200 in my case. To cancel a pickup ANYVAN charge 100% of the booking fee; £417 in my case. I was disgusted with the agents very aggressive posture, as it was the day of my birthday I decided not to continue talking to the aggressive agent anymore. So in the end I have been charged £417 for a delivery that hasn't taken place; the washing machine is still in my hallway. ANYVAN were very aggressive not just to me but to their own drivers. Please do not use these ANYVAN; if it goes right fair enough but when it goes wrong you will pay a fortune and there customer services will blame YOU! It should be noted that the customer services person who took the booking assured me the item would be delivered and that they had delivered to Amazon many times. I have lost £417; I don't trust ANYVAN who are money grabbers! You must be careful with ANYVAN many of there pickups go wrong; that's when your pain will start! Use ANYVAN at your own peril! *** PLEASE DON'T USE *** Date of experience: 22 December 2023

Paid just under£1000 for a removal service, driver never turned up, after many calls a replacement driver was assigned, 6 and a half hours after scheduled time they arrive in a van nearly as old and battered as me but by this time if a one legged man with a donkey had turned up we would have taken it. Were offered a £35 refund which is frankly insulting. Made a stressful experience a complete nightmare. Save yourself time, money and sanity and go elsewhere

I had a long conversation with customer services the day before to book in my driver. I wanted a Night Storage Heater collected. They are heavy which is why I booked 2 men. I was absolutely transparent; I provided the company with the weight of the heater - 150 kg. The men were collecting it direct from the warehouse which is about 15 minutes away from my home. Shortly before due delivery - I received a phone call from the driver rudely demanding more money. As if I had been dishonest. Apparently the 10 bricks from the heater were packaged separately from the heater cover. Which I was not aware of, never having ordered one before. I said that I had paid for the whole heater to be picked up not just the cover. He rudely said he would phone the office. I dealt with Chelsea from Customer Services. I do appreciate that she tried to help and she was empathetic but I still had to pay additional money. I was told repeatedly that costs were made per item/inventory. I explained that it was one item - 1 x NIGHT STORAGE HEATER that had been separated by the shop. This caused a delay of nearly an hour. When the guys arrived at my door - 2 young men, over 6 foot tall, they brought in the bricks and the storage cover. It took less than 5 minutes. And at my calculations - they charged an additional £3 per brick. Absolutely pathetic. A disgraceful service. Cowboys. It is the luck of the draw - to the drivers you get. DO NOT expect any customer service or heaven forbid - COMPASSION. If they can squeeze some more money out of you - they will! I booked two men and a van as I didn't want to experience stress. I can't tell you how stressful today has been. I will NEVER use this company again. Please don't either.

Absolute rubbish experience. Damaged the item in transit and then took no responsibility whatsoever to resolve (8 weeks to get resolution is their timeline). They subcontract out their drivers. Trying to contact them is next to impossible. Avoid like the plague - not worth the hassle. Look closely at their reviews for the last couple of months - all 1 star. The 4 star overall is very misleading. UPDATE: Even if you get supplemental insurance with Zurich via Anyvan - they will not refund the Anyvan delivery charge even if they damage the item in transit. Absolutely shocking company.

I would give a 0 star if I could. Absolute cowboy company. 2 bad experiences when getting my new car delivered, they did not deliver on the day that was agreed. Second time I booked for a certain day, which was confirmed and my wife took an emergency holiday. This was meant to be collected at 8am nobody turned up because they did not book it correctly from their end. Then got told it was going to be between 12pm and 1pm to get a phone call at 12:05pm telling me the drivers has broken down, but get reassured it would be collected the same day. Later in the day I get another phone call telling me it is going to be the next day. The prices change daily so no compensation offered for people collecting the vehicle on a different day. It seems there is a lack of communication and nobody really knows what they are doing. Stay well away from this company!!

You pay for what you get! I hired a van with 2 men, which did at least turn up on the date required, however initially at the wrong address! Thankfully due to the ‘track my driver’ I managed to locate them and direct them back to the house. They moved my items to the new property but unfortunately dropped our American fridge freezer, which caught the door on one of the locking lugs on the truck, which damaged the door and this is where the trouble really started! We are now in the 5th week of trying to get this resolved, the driver took a photo, I took photos of the damage on the fridge door and of the lug. I emailed them and asked why they manhandled the furniture instead of using ramps, tail lift etc. I was then told that I could have specified a tail lift earlier but I assumed that 2 assistants and a van with a full list of furniture to be moved would suffice, that was how it was delivered to me in the first place! Their booking system, if they want to go down that route should recommend a particular van for a particular job, if they are experts, not leave it to the individual to work out what they think they need. As I say, this is still ongoing and not being resolved. If they are that busy, this also speaks volumes of the service you will get as they obviously have a lot of damage claims going through!! From my experience, pay a little more and avoid ANYVAN. In response to ANYVAN reply, the claims team have been investigating for 5 weeks, even with clear evidence of the damage to the door, lug that caused it and even the driver’s feet in the photo! How clear can it be! Another example of what you have to deal with. I would upload photos on here but unfortunately unable but they are on my Google review if possible customers want to see. To further update and to show how bad they are, I have just received an email from the same lady I have had a previous email from regarding the claim with the ref of the claim as a header asking me for the reference to investigate the claim. If I could give 0 stars, I would! Just an update for anyone still considering using ANYVAN, it’s now been 6 weeks since the claim and we are sitting here with a damaged fridge freezer. Look at the other reviews here and especially on GOOGLE REVIEWS to see the number of damaged goods and customer service and those that have had things settled, insignificant compensation, not covering the damage to items! This is the response I’ve just received from the claim for damage Dear Sean, Thank you for your patience whilst we have investigated your claim. Upon receipt of your claim, AnyVan have launched a full investigation and reviewed all evidence that has been provided by yourself and the transport providers. We have also corresponded with the Transport Providers allocated to your booking and our Transport Team to ensure that all relevant information pertaining to your claim is in our possession. AnyVan acts as an agent within the booking which means we must mediate with the Transport Provider in an attempt to resolve the claim. Upon review of the evidence you have provided, sadly as we have no images of the item prior to the move and due to the time lapse since this was purchased we are unable to determine the condition of the item prior to the move and that the damages have been caused as a result of the move. Despite this, we do recognise that the damage could be considered fresh and consistent with damages that could be caused during transportation or loading. Due to this, we would like to settle the matter amicably and therefore, we would like to offer you £29.00 as per 10% of your booking cost as a goodwill gesture in this instance and in full and final settlement of your claim. Should you wish to accept, please respond to this email confirming the following details: I think this sums the company up! AVOID THEM

AWFUL COMPANY - AVOID Where do I start. Initially after making the booking I was charged an extra £100 which I was told would be resolved right away and still hasn't been. On the day of the move we had the worst experience at an already stressful time. When the drivers arrived they said the items in the house were more than on "their list" which was completely wrong. I had a copy of all the items agreed with anyvan in writing and we were still refused and essentially held ransom and told to pay an extra £500 so that we could get our move done on the day. We had no choice as we were moving house and had to have it emptied. To make matters worse they only sent 2 movers who were ill equipped and slow so my brother had to help with moving and organising items which resulted in him hurting his back. I'm absolutely livid that a company who is supposed to be well established and professional behaved in such a despicable manner. We are now trying to make a complaint and are repeatedly being told for the past week a customer care team member will be in touch and we are still waiting! Going to have to go direct to trading standards as don't have the time to waste with these people.

Absolutely horrendous service by anyvan driver. 1. Any van driver did not follow the special request section of the order which was the directions of where exactly to park which was fine as I understand that these things happen. 2. However, when he arrived, he claimed that he called me, but I never had a missed call from him and then told me that I wasted his time. 3. Instead I was the one calling him as I was waiting for him for 20 minutes because he could not follow my instructions and claimed that it was my fault that he went to a different address. 4. Blamed me for using giffgaff as a phone service and asked for my nationality which I believe was highly inappropriate and irrelevant given the circumstances. 5. When he arrived he was smoking and threw the cigarette on the pavement and began complaining that I was wasting his time and that he would charge me extra. He tried doing this by calling me from an unknown number which I refused because I could not take responsibility for the fact that he could not follow instructions on the request section. 6. When he arrived at the drop off point he was very sarcastic and asked me if I wanted a hug after I told him he was being disrespectful. He then proceeded to repeatedly call me stupid and laugh at me when I asked him how much the extra charge would be for him to help me with my things after he parked on the back side of the building. He proceeded to call me stupid again and said that he did not want to help me. This has been one of the most horrible experiences I have had with a moving company.

The mark of how good a company is is how they deal with complaints. This company collected the furniture and the next time we had view of it was when it was returned, minus part of the three seater sofa. It took them over a week to find the missing item and when it arrived it smelled of petrol. It is proving difficult to get quotes to have the sofa cleaned, especially when they know is that ANYVAN is involved. They also drag out their replies, tending to send them out late on Fridays asking for more and more details. My advice based on my experience, avoid them.

We decided to book with any van for our removals. This was a big mistake. Initially we did all checks online and via phone with them and they clearly stated the delivery men will be professional, would have all the tools and will stay as long as needed to complete the job at no extra costs. The people who arrived did initially seem capable but we soon realised they were not competent nor were they friendly or willing to help. Anyvan told us that we can go over 10% of the items listed but these people clearly refused to take anything extra that wasn’t listed and they were telling us “anyvan doesn’t know what they are doing” “Anyvan can jog on we won’t carry anything extra” they made several more comments. We addressed these concerns to Anyvan several times during our moving day and Anyvan kept promising to call us back in half hour but we never heard anything… in the end the workers left a TV on the wall as they didn’t have the tools, they didn’t assemble our sofa and just dumped it in a room. They also damaged our new property. When we called Anyvan to raise a complaint they informed us they will send out another driver the next day at no extra cost and they will have someone remove TV from old property and also assemble the sofa in the new property. When we rang the next day Anyvan blatantly refused to help and said if another removal team comes out there will be a further charge. Moving home is meant to be a good time but Anyvan made it a very big hassle for us. They don’t have competent staff and their customer service is a disgrace. Anyvan are thief’s who will say absolutely anything to get a booking then refuse everything by sending people who don’t have a clue what they’re doing. Please avoid this company at all costs.

Used this company to move belongings from Somerset to Harrogate. Van due to arrive between 8am-2pm, arrived at 6pm, had several conversations with customer service, told they’re on way but lied to all day. 2 guys turned up, both non English speaking so communication zero, van was already half full. One guy rushed in and just started grabbing my things, no order, no inventory checked, van loaded in the dark with aid of torch as inside light not working on van. As van already half full 3 of my items would not fit on but I couldn’t make myself understood so just left those and will have to now make another trip. I was fairly satisfied that my items were secured safely and managed to understand from one of the men that mine was the first job in the morning. The van arrived finally in Harrogate around 12 the next da. When they opened it up I could have cried. They had picked up a sofa from someone else and to make room for it they had moved half of my things by picking them up and literally throwing them on top of each other. My fridge freezer had been secured safely when it left my home but it had since been shunted further into the van causing my boxes to fall over and the fridge now had a big dent in it and a huge scratch the other side. 3 more items of furniture were damaged pretty much beyond repair. They didn’t care one bit, shrugged their shoulders and one in broken English said No worry if broken they pay! I’ve received £12 refund for missed time slot and I have a claim going through for damaged items but I don’t hold out much hope for that. Do not use these cowboys unless you want the most awful experience you can have.

My parents hired this company to help them move furniture into their new home. The furniture was poorly handled and arrived with many pieces damaged, some damage was cleverly hidden drawers wedgded shut broken inside, handles wedged on...etc. We attempted to complain but were fobbed off until after 2 weeks we were told it was too late for them to take action. A terribly disappointing and expensive start to a house move. Cannot recommend. Would never use again!!

Since they are denying all responsibility about 23rd of October this honest review is being left about that experience Unpacked boxes, lies, broken items and human waste left in the toilet for me to clean up. Nothing moved out of the property Be wary when booking with them Since they have "inveatigated" and found no wrong doing they won't mind the pictures being put out there Since they did nothing wrong Be careful who does your move The ones sent on 25th and 30th of October we absolutely amazing and a credit to them
