Please be careful when booking with AnyVan. You are better off booking a local man and van. They craftily have disguised their measurements guide system. You tick the box for the size of your items, and would not even know there is a measurement guide. They will send a small van for a whole house move!!! Rude staff Emma. Please avoid this company. This is the first time I am ever giving a negative feedback to any company. It’s that bad. Thank you.

Appalling service with ANYVAN. I contacted them and was continually asked for payment. I felt very pressured and paid, specifically requested a pick up time between 11am and 4pm from a furniture shop. I was told my pick up would be in the morning and be delivered by the afternoon. Imagine my upset when I discovered the next morning, through tracking sytem, that the driver was in London and had 5 more pick ups before mine and would under no circumstances be able to make it before 4pm. I contacted the driver who couldn't help and seemed very confused and said he might still make it (obviously knowing he wouldn't). I then phoned the Company and the person I spoke to was unbelievably rude and abrupt. He said 'how do you know how long it'll take him?' I explained that I was very aware of the time it takes to drive from central London and on top of that he had 5 other stops. He then blamed me for not picking an hourly time. I then explained I had specific stated times and had an email to prove this. He said he needed to ring the driver and I said no ive already spoken to the driver and told him what the driver said. He ignored me and let me on hold for 8 minutes. He then said that he have to rebook and charge me extra for it! I said there was no way I'd pay for something that was their fault. I then asked to cancel and have a full refund. The man refused and told me to 'check the small print' . I then asked to speak to his manager. He then put me back hold for ages. I eventually spoke to someone and explained how angry I was and how appalling I had been spoken to. He also asked how did I know the driver wouldnt be there on time? After another 5 minute conversation I told him I had the names of the companys CEO( Angus Elphinstone), the Managing director (Marc Clifton) and another manager Pathiq Trivedi. I asked his name and then he became very apologetic and I got an instant refund. I said I wanted the telephone coversation listen to and I wanted to make a further complaint. He said he would and I've never heard of the company since. I would never use or recommend this company. I then had no sofa to sit on and had to pay extra to have someone else deliver it ASAP.

These people take incompetence to a higher level! Having decided I don't need their service, I responded by text to a text message to that effect and again to an email. These were not noted and when they called by phone I said the same thing. Yet I am still getting more emails from them asking for a response... Totally useless!

Sorry, this is a long one. 1st March 2023 I booked a small pickup and delivery from Stamford to Wakefield, over a week ago, for this morning. It was for vintage furniture with sentimental value and I’d waited 6 weeks to be able to pick it up. I’d travelled from West Yorkshire the night before for an early pickup, and had only today to do it. Despite giving the correct address and postcode, plus extra information, the van driver went to the wrong address. When it became obvious that the van wasn’t coming I contacted AnyVan to be told that I’d need to rearrange the pickup and would be charged 50% extra, which I refused as it was their fault. Eventually a lady from customer care phoned me and after a lot of discussion offered me the service, firstly the next day, then this afternoon, both impossible as I had to be back here. Their reason for trying to evade responsibility was that the van driver had phoned me and I didn’t answer. I asked for a refund, plus my expenses; she agreed to a refund but not the expenses. So now I’m out of pocket by £30 and don’t have my furniture. I’m furious at the sheer ineptitude of this company. If you need an efficient removal service I’d strongly recommend you avoid AnyVan like the plague. Date of experience: 01 March 2023

AVOID this company if you don't want your furniture ruined - I would give 0 if I was able. Hired this company to move a Victorian wardrobe. This had original latches, locks and material lining inside. Wardrobe was dismantled carefully by owner for ease of transport by courier. The wardrobe is over 100 years old and has survived intact in a beautiful condition. It was in the care of two AnyVan movers for 1 hour of its life. It now has 5 rips to the original victorian material lining, several deep scratches and lumps taken out of the wood and only 1 latch and lock as the 2nd has been smashed off and is now missing. I am completely shocked and can't quite believe this could be possible. I expected the doors to have been wrapped for safe keeping, but looking at the state of them can only assume they were thrown in the back of the van. One of them has white paint on the surface, so again I assume just thrown in on the floor of the van. Appalling! I paid twice as much as other quotes, in order to avoid this(!), believing the good Trust pilot reviews. I would say go with a reputable local courier (I wish I had), as this company are large, looks like they get local van drivers with no reputation who have not been vetted or trained to move items carefully. You run the risk of landing up with a courier you wouldn't employ yourself if you were able to check their history. You pay for trust, AnyVan. This is not acceptable. I trusted you to move something old and beautiful and you used movers who damaged it without any care or thought. Anyone reading this, please take this warning seriously. This is not a company to be trusted with your belongings. I took out the extra insurance offered. Be warned! When I phoned AnyVan to report this they told me there is nothing they can or will do now, as it is an issue for the insurer. They really were not interested in the situation or how to resolve it. Take it up with the insurer, as it is a 'damage claim' there is nothing more we can do. They wouldn't even agree to ask the driver to check his van to see if the original brass handle and latch that has been broken off was still in there, preventing me from even trying to have it repaired/ restored. No enquiry as to the performance of the movers or the resultant damage. I'm so gutted. The wardrobe was beautiful. I've been looking for one with no damage, scratches and all original for over a year and was delighted when I found it and won the bid. AnyVan are responsible for multiple points of damage to the item, irreparable and ruined after over 100 years of being looked after! Disgraceful! No refund, no care taken, no thought. Don't use this company. Do you want to take the risk you might have the same experience? I trusted them. You will too. Don't make the same mistake as I did. Choose another, better, more reliable and trustworthy company who will, if in the unlikely event of damage (you would assume!!!) would do everything in their power to put it right. Not this lot. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I totally disagree with the description made by AnyVan on this page. Save up to 75% on deliveries and removals (not true my charge was twice that of other local couriers that I now wish I had gone with. I trusted this bigger MORE EXPERIENCED company to my regret) No matter what you are moving; from a King-Sized bed to a framed picture of the Queen; a Grand Piano to a classic Ford Capri; we’ll take care of it all the way from Penzance to Peterhead and beyond. (This is not true - multiple points of irreparable damage caused by YOUR 'trusted team') We do this by marrying people looking to move something with our trusted team of AnyVanners (I would like to know what this trust is based on? As your judgement is extremely poor) They are equipped with the knowledge and expertise to go the extra mile. (Not true - my item was damaged in numerous ways at numerous places - can't understand how this could be possible if your claim is true.) And our customer team are always on hand to ensure there is a friendly person to guide you through the journey. (I spoke with two different people across the day as I discovered all of the damage. They were polite, but, and this is crucial, in the end said they could do no more other than say that I make a claim on the extra insurance I bought. Terrible service. Not helpful at all. In the end, when left with a totally ruined 100 year old UNIQUE piece of furniture which started the journey in excellent condition for its age and ended up irreparably damaged they offered no support of any kind, no attempt to resolve, no attempt to locate the damaged and missing items (insurer will investigate in up to 7days!) or even, at the very least, an offer of any kind of refund by way of apology! They are in control of vetting their 'trusted and experienced team'. Something went seriously wrong here and they do/ did nothing in response).

They knowingly sent a full van. Made the driver travel for over an hour after he flagged he couldn’t do the pick up just to make him take a picture of our item. Shocking. Will never use again.

Totally avoid at all costs. These are cowboys. Got a call night before move to be told that I needed to pay another £81 as I didn’t tell them what floor my flat was on. They took money out of my account 3 days before move as well. Guess what no refund policy as well. They are not a company just a dodgy middle man who sub lets jobs out. These could do a movie with John Wayne. Total avoid at all costs please please please. This company needs to be closed down. SCAMMERS!!!!!

The company didn't meet our expectations from a moving company. We have moved many times, it is the first time that we are so disappointed. I'd never use them again.

If I could give negative stars I would. Absolutely horrendous experience - avoid at any cost. Supposedly large company and made out they do it all - but essentially farms out the work to other companies and takes no responsibility for the removal companies they send to help. Initially, I went through the inventory with the sale team to set up the job - it was all very relaxed and casual and they helped estimate boxes etc. based on the house size as we were not packed up - all just to get the job booked. Without writing an essay - they let me know less than an hour before arrival time, they had no team - team showed up 3 hours late - some of the team arriving after we were due to legally be out of our home. On arrival they wanted more money. They used no carpet protection in either house and dirtied cream carpets. The dropped an almost new chest of drawers down the stairs, numerous breakages totaling £500+ - they have offered £40 compensation as said each item they broke wasn't itemised and they didn't carry - which is completely untrue as this was all boxed up and bubble wrapped. Who has time to itemise each item within a box? GO LOCAL - AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. WOULD NEVER USE AGAIN.

The drivers damaged the communal hallway by breaking the handrail in 2 places, the hinges and by making holes and scuff marks all across the walls. Even though I purchased insurance from AnyVan they claim it's not covered, despite me sending in date and timestamped photos and having 2 witnesses. My landlord has now deducted from the damage deposit £800 to cover replacement and fit of handrails and hinges, and carry out plastering and painting to the walls. I haven't even been refunded 1p. Terrible company who do not operate fairly based on principles of honesty and truth. Avoid at all costs!

Never again! I filled in my request for a quote, got one, we agreed on it, and they sent a confirmation. Then a few days before the move, they called and tried to put the price up by £120 because „they did not realise“ that I ticked the box to move a piano. After a long discussion they „only“ put the price up by £40. Because it was only a few days until the moving date and I could not get anyone else by that time I agreed. Then on the moving day the drivers where adamant that the move would be only from ground floor to ground floor. They did not accept the confirmation from their own website where it clearly said: „3RD FLOOR WITH ELEVATOR“ (yes, it was written in capitals). Next up they called the head office to complain they had „to walk 200 meters to the door“ which was a lie, they had parked the van right outside the door, less then five meters away from the door. I could not be there in person because I was called into the hospital for an urgent operation and they would not listen to my friend who was left in charge. And then the head office had the audacity to call me whilst I was in the hospital waiting for my urgent cancer surgery and demanding more money!!! I told them to get lost. They are clearly trying to take advantage of my situation, being kicked out by a greedy buy-to-let landlord and being diagnosed with cancer at the same time. If I could give zero stars that would be more honest.

They don't seem to vet their drivers. Mine showed up hours late, at the end of the day, in a hired van and were obviously dodgy. From now on I'll always use Shiply because you can see individual ratings and have direct contact with the delivery firm. Anyvan were completely uninterested when I contacted them to complain.

Horrible experience. Do not rely on this company. Cancelled our move the afternoon of our moving day. Showed no remorse and offered no alternate solutions. Our move was booked months in advance but when the driver was late, I contacted him with photos of our things, to which he replied he would actually be hours later than the scheduled time. He asked would we prefer to have an alternate driver come in his place so that they could arrive on time, to which we replied that we would. Navaratnam told us that he would arrange this with Anyvan and we would hear from them shortly. We heard nothing. After waiting on hold for an extended period of time, we were told our driver had taken himself off the job and there would be no drivers coming in his place, but that this was ok because they could send a driver the following week. We were moving from Wales to England with international flights arranged the following day. It was not ok. Abdul, the customer service representative, proposed no solutions, until I insisted that he call the original mover and reassign him the job. Twice, Abdul said that he had been in contact with the driver who clarified that his pick-up time would now be later than the previous estimate. I told Abdul that we would manage the lateness of the pick-up, we just needed the items moved the day we had agreed upon. Despite Navaratnam having confirmed that he was available to do the move, Abdul did not arrange this to take place, breaching their contract, causing us significant stress and forcing us to bear excessive additional costs in finding an emergency moving company to come immediately. The only apology that we received was at the end of our last phone call, where we were told 'We are sorry that we have not been able to provide what you had expected from us'. Having contacted the complaints department, asking only for compensation in the difference of payment we had to make to the emergency company, we were quoted their contract saying that if their drivers are unable to perform their service they would contact us. (Which they did not do). It was also abundantly clear that the driver was able to do the delivery, he simply chose not to. Other experiences included: - Being cut-off mid sentence by being put on hold when Abdul disagreed with what I was saying - Not having our pick-up time confirmed until late in the evening the night before. Despite several phone calls promising this confirmation at an earlier time. - Needing to call and wait on the customer service line repeatedly when people promised to call back within a defined amount of time and did not.

Do not use this company, DO NOT My booking 26th Jan , The van running late to pick up, for saving the workers time I moved all the things from 3rd floors to ground( which was I paid for ) and waiting for picking up. which is furious to find that , The online website made mistakes of my booking leave the driver no space for my items to fit at all, I book 2weeks in advance, they have to cancel it in front of me. The customer service make it feels like doing me a favour to rebook the time for me, since they mess up the case, I requested direct van in a different day, and the customer service basically can’t give me a guarantee time and also it is not possible to have a direct van, they already mess up the booking, now even messed up the solutions. Basically take it or leave it. Completely ignored my request I have to carry all the items back to 3rd floor (no lifts), my drop off location has to be rescheduled and I have to apologise for the reschedule, which is not even my fault. The rebooking date (30th) in the morning I requested (on 26th) my items to be delivered by 2pm, but the day I only find out they playing a trick that only “pick up by 2pm” which is not what I we agreed on the phone. my drop off location closed every early , and I contacted Anyvan customer service Now that’s the disaster case getting worse, the client advisor called me like she own the company with an extremely rude attitude not caring my questions but only shout at me that take it or leave it . I am purchasing the service not just a van and I didn’t expect that treat client like this horrible attitude and I had to ask for refund which anyvan refused I didn’t receive any service and even experienced a disaster service , now they are not even give back my money I have to report this serious case for their multiple crazy ways horrible treat the client , and dealing with the first mistakes like they are the only company in the world and stealing money from both way, I used Anyvan few times before didn’t expect this company is getting worse and worse. talked with the driver last time I also find out they are being treated badly, the customer service represented and reflecting the whole company, Do not use this company, do not recommend, imagine if they damage your items. They will become your nightmare Just look their reply , they are not sorry and there is no solution for their mistakes, and they will still take your money without even service

This company totally ripped me off! getting stuff wrong on the inventory, not knowing the difference between a playhouse and a shed. telling me that the move will run smoothly as there is a 10% leeway on its then charging me £140 more for not many extra boxes. I provided proof about it being a shed as I forwarded them an email about it. despite paying £140 extra they still left the shed and plant pots because they had plants in them. PLANT POTS NORMALLY DO...funny that! also charged an added £144 because I rang up 5 days before for advice on what time slot I should have because the house im moving into will leave around 2 pm. I asked her which slot she recommends and she said 10-12. this as well as me making booking for 2 men and 3 turning up meant I was done by 11.15 and was then charged the wait time. The agent got this time wrong and I paid the price... I was told Anyvan cover the costs if its an agents error now they are backtracking. also I have had to gather phone call evidence and show them emails of me saying it is a shed not a playhouse, this whole experience has been really stressful and cost me £770 for a 26sqm tiny flats belongings to go 4 miles down the road! not to mention there is still a shed and plant pots at the old property. also the agent called me a liar so I asked for phone evidence. I now have that phone evidence and I can see that was said and confirm what I already knew, that its them who have given me false information and not done the inventory correctly in the first place....avoid any van, even the drivers told me they do this to so many customers!
