“My father gave me one his bespoke suits but despite of being made of very high quality materials it looked a little tired and very old-fashioned. As I couldn`t wear it in its current shape I decided to get it altered. I booked an appointment with Alterations Boutique and visited them for a consultation. The tailor seemed very experienced and knowledgeable. The suit required quite extensive alterations so I was asked to come back for another fitting 3 days later. I came to try the suit on and was happy to see that the suit looked more tailored and its shape was changing. When the suit was finally ready it looked completely different which was what I wanted. The fit is perfect and I have to admit that it`s now one of my favourite suits.”

“This place is great for wedding dress alterations. The bridal seamstress is very experienced and skillful. She did an amazing job on my beaded JP dress. The panels had to be re-cut and the neckline changed. I had several appointments with the seamstress and every time I tried the dress on it looked better and better. She also made me a matching headpiece. It was a really nice experienced and I always felt looked after.”

“My skirt didn`t fit me and needed letting out. I took it to my local dry cleaners but they said there wasn`t enough seam allowance to do that. It was one of my favourite skirts so I decided to get a second opinion. When I came Alterations Boutique the seamstress also confirmed that there wasn`t enough seam allowance. She said I had two options: she could copy the skirt for me or she could extend the skirt by inserting extra panels. I chose the first option. The seamstress recommended a fabric shop. Luckily, I was able to buy pretty much exactly the same fabric for my new skirt. There were buckles on the original skirt which the seamstress were going to transfer to the new skirt. The skirt was ready two weeks later and I was very excited to pick it up. It looked even better than the original and the fit was great. Thank you so much!”

“They did high quality alterations on my new Prada coat. I bought it on sale and it was almost perfect but the sleeves were too long and the coat itself needed shortening. I took it to AB and was very pleased with the result. They got the length completely perfect and kept the finish completely original. Very neat and precise alterations.”

“They did a beautiful job restyling my old fur coat. It was too old - fashioned and bulky but the seamstress managed to make it look modern and stylish. She had quite a few good ideas at the fitting, as I wasn`t sure what could be done. I had to come back for another fitting to try the coat on before it was ready. When I finally came to collect the coat it looked completely different - the shape was much better and it didn`t feel as heavy. Great job. I`m looking forward to wearing it!”

“I bought a beautiful sequin blouse from Secret Sales but it was 1 size too big. The price was low enough for me to consider altering the blouse to fit me. I rank a few places but non of them would alter garments with sequins. Then, I found Alterations Boutique and they asked me to come in for a fitting. The seamstress was very bubbly and friendly. She performed a fitting said the blouse could be easily altered to fit me. When I came back to pick it up the blouse fit me perfectly. It was the perfect size and shape for my build. Thank you.”

“This place is fantastic. I`ve used them a few times for tailoring my dresses and skirts. The atmosphere is always friendly and the staff are great and experienced tailors. I had all sorts of problems with my last tailor and finally decided to try a new place, So far I`ve been very happy with Alterations Boutique. I`m not very tall so I have to alter almost everything I buy. They are a little bit more expensive than my last tailor but I can completely trust them even with delicate fabrics and leather.”

“I didn`t have much luck with finding the right wedding dress. I considered having one made but then decide against it. My mother visited a few bridal boutiques with me and also agreed that none of the dresses looked like 'the one'. My mother mentioned she still had her wedding dress somewhere and I asked to see it as I had only ever seen it in the family album. I came round to her place that weekend and she managed to find the dress. As soon as I saw it I felt like I would be honored to wear it at my wedding. It was still in a good condition but obviously it needed to be cleaned and adjusted to fit me. It was made of beautiful silk and very delicate lace so had to be handled with care. I found a dry-cleaning company to handle the cleaning and they recommended taking it to Alterations Boutique for alterations. I emailed them some pictures of the dress and they booked me in for a consultation. Surprisingly, the dress didn`t need that much work but then I decided to adjust the neckline as well. It was an exciting project and I enjoyed having my fittings and seeing the progress. When my mother came with me to collect the dress and saw me in it she had tears in her eyes. The dressmaker adjusted the dress beautifully. She was a pleasure to work with as she listened to everything I said and followed any instruction. She also made everything very easy and smooth. “I`ve had 5 suits altered by Alterations Boutique and I couldn`t fault their work. Despite of walking in I didn`t have to wait and was seen straight away. I had an appointment booked with another tailor nearby but when I saw the place and the tailor who didn`t speak a word of English I walked out as I wasn`t prepared to let them ruin 5 suits. I then came across Alterations Boutique and I walked in asking to see their tailor. I was relieved when the tailor started pinning the suit as he knew what he was doing. Retrospectively, I should have probably asked for a discount as I left 5 suits with them. Anyway, I came to collect the suits when they were ready and was very happy with the tailored fit. The tailor did mention he used to work in Savile Row and his experience did show.”

“I had a small v-notch rip on my leather jacket. It looked like the leather peeled off. Unfortunately for me, it was my favourite Dior leather jacket so I couldn`t wait to have it repaired. I rank Alterations Boutique to explain the problem and they asked me to bring the jacket to them. They offered to repair it the same day and asked if I wanted to wait while they were doing it. I decided to go for a coffee and came back 30 min later. I inspected the repair and was very satisfied with the result. Althought , it wasn`t completely invisible it was neat enough to be too noticeable. Very efficient and good quality service indeed.”

“I`ve never had a dress made before but my birthday was coming up and I knew my husband was preparing a big celebration. I wanted to wear something special but I don`t particularly like shopping as I don`t often find clothes I like or they just don`t really fit me. My sister was a fashion fan and had a very good eye for clothes so she offered me to design a dress for me. Having thought about the idea I decided to give it a go. My sister prepared a few sketches and organised for us to see a dressmaker at Alterations Boutique. When we met with the dressmaker I immediately felt at ease, as she was lovey and friendly. We went thought the sketches, requirement and measurements. It was time to get some fabric for my dress. My sister of course offered to help. When I came back for my first fitting I tried on a calico version of the dress; it didn`t have much shape yet but I was assured it was work in progress. During the second fitting I tried the dress on for the first time and I feel in love with it. It fit me very well and complimented my figure unlike most of my dresses. I was asked to come back for a final fitting one week later. I tried the dress on again with a pair of new shoes and matching dressmaker for the joint effort of creating such a special piece. I absolutely love the whole experience.”

“I had a beautiful leather jacket in my wardrobe which had to be altered and relined. It was a gift from my husband so wanted to make sure I was taking it to leather specialists. Having done some research online I`ve taken it to Alterations Boutique as they had a lot of positive reviews. I turned up without booking an appointment and was seen straight away. The seamstress performed a fitting and asked me to choose the new lining from a lining catalogue which had hundreds of different linings. I chose one that was very close to the original. I received a text 5 days later informing me the jacket was ready. When I came to collect it I was seen by the same seamstress. The jacket looked absolutely great; it was altered to perfection and the new lining felt comfortable. I highly recommend this place - they are professional, efficient and it seems that they care about customers.”

“My dinner suit didn`t fit me very well. Even though I couldn`t pin point what was wrong with the fit I knew it had to be improved. A friend of mine recommended AB. I booked myself in to see their tailor and had my first fitting with him. He pinned the suit in a few places and suddenly it looked much better. It didn`t need a lot of alterations so it didn`t cost me very much. I could tell the tailor was very experienced by the way he performed my fitting. I also oberved him doing other fittings while I was waiting to be seen and was very impressed. The alterations were completed 3 days later and the suit was ready. It looked fantastic and fit me exactly the way I wanted. Gentlemen, this place is great for men`s tailoring and alterations.”

“A friend of mine recommended Alterations Boutique to me as I needed my coat relined. It was a Tom Ford coat and cost me thousands so did not want to take it to my local dry cleaners. Their Tailor was very helpful and showed me their collection of Linings and agreed a collection date. A week later and I was simply astonished with the workmanship. I consider myself a perfectionist and I scrutinized the coat from top to bottom and everything of what was possible in terms of quality and I am going to be bringing all my clothes here from now on.”

“I was invited to a fancy dress party and I had a very particular outfit in mind. I looked on the internet but couldn`t find what I was after. I then decided to use one of my dresses and customize it to create the look I wanted. I can`t sew so I had to find a place to do it for me. This company was recommended to me by one of my clients so I visited them for help. The seamstress was absolutely lovely and when I shared my idea with her she said she was excited to do the work. She made a few sketches and I could see she completely understood me. Dealing with he was a pleasure. She was very talented and knew exactly what she was doing. I had a feeling the outfit would look amazing and it absolutely did! What a faboulous place for alterations.”
