Allegro made me an offer that was a little lower than some others but I accepted for the convenience of their collection service and strong customer ratings. Having packed up my digital piano and moved it to the ground floor of my building at Allegro's insistence, despite having a paralysed hand, the 2h collection window came and went. I had to haul the piano - literally singlehandedly - back up the stairs to my flat. The driver arrived more than 2 hours late and then wouldn't provide a collection slip for the piano. He was late, wasn't in a uniform, and refused to show me his work ID. All of this made me worry it was a scam collection, which I explained to the driver, but he offered no reassurances whatsoever. Considering the item's value, I wasn't happy to proceed with the collection. As soon as I closed my door, the driver loudly shouted "c*nt" through it and slammed the door to the building. I raised this incident with Allegro to arrange another collection window and make them aware of their contractor's actions. They were mildly apologetic while defending the courier as a company they've worked with for years. Another three 2h collection windows were booked with the same courier. Despite being present for each one, no one called to collect the piano. No one phoned me to double check if I was home either. On the morning of the fourth collection booking, I emailed Allegro confirm the collection and say I'd be home. The collection slot came and went. Allegro responded at the end of the day to essentially say they believed the courier's version of events (which was never relayed to me) and I'd have to arrange collection myself and they would add £15 to the purchase price. Unlike the courier company and driver, I have nothing to gain from skewing the facts. The whole thing was hassle from start to finish even without vague accusations of lying and being called a c*nt. Overall, this was a truly bizarre and unpleasant experience.

Thanks for your review Aiden. We feel it only fair to point out that you approached us to purchase your Piano, the decision to do that was totally yours. We buy Pianos everyday of the week and never, and we really do mean never has our courier of over ten years sent a message back about a collection with such a strong message of shock of how they were treated. Of course we know everything is subjective, and whilst you have given us a one star review, we feel other customers will look at that review against the rest we have and draw their own opinions.

Allegro were so helpful I decided to get back into music having not played a note in almost 30 years I was given advice on what was available within my budget As I live in Lincolnshire they even drove all the way up here to deliver it and arrived early Excellent service from extremely friendly helpful and professional staff definitely award them 100% Thank you Allegro

Allegro arranged for Yamaha to deliver my CVP909 piano on time and it was easy to get in touch with Allegro to ensure my stool came by separate delivery

Allegro gave me a good trade in deal on my old piano. My new purchase turned out to be not what I had hoped, so I came clean to them, not knowing what to expect. I'm so glad I did as I now have a piano I love, and a cash adjustment which I didn't expect. Thank you Ben and Chris! Colin White

It is sad now days customers service is very rare , but Ben and he’s team at Allegro could not be more helpful, there support and there willingness to help with any problems you might have is exceptional, BRILLIANT

All is good a few delivery problems from manufactures, but not any fault of Ben at Allegro Music. Very happy with the service I received. Very friendly and keeps one in touch with the progress of things. WELL DONE>

All done via the website and telephone - the team were brilliant in recommending an organ for my child. Were great in organising delivery and then when there was a problem with the first one - were fantastic in organising a replacement - A pleasure to deal with -

We ordered gift vouchers online for a retiring colleague. We were concerned the vouchers would not arrive in time, so called the shop. The assistant was very helpful and assured us that the vouchers would be posted out that day. Sure enough we received the vouchers in good time and our colleague was over the moon with his gift. Excellent service, thank you!

From the minute I first walked in the shop the customer service was exceptionally. My musical goals were completely understood and a suitable level of keyboard was suggested by Ben at the Chelmsford store which resulted in my purchase of a Yamaha keyboard which I enjoy immensely. I am very happy to provide feedback on Allegro music, Chelmsford. I decided to learn the piano as part of my retirement plan and have been going into the shop for months. Most of the time I spoke to Ben who was very knowledgeable and pleased to help. Patient as well as a mulled over spend such a sum on an instrument I would be learning on. I settled on a second hand CVP-709, not wanting to spend the extra on a new instrument. Ben was very understanding and went out of his way to provide all the information I wanted. Delivery was arranged for the following week and I now have this beautiful instrument to pass away retirement. Thanks guys.

Allegro Music were so helpful and friendly. I had previously bought a piano from this store 20 years ago and had been so pleased with my purchase and whilst there wasn’t anything wrong with my old piano, I had my eyes on a modern version! Ben in the Chelmsford store was very informative and once I had a demonstration of the CLP-785, I knew it had to be the piano for me! What an incredible instrument and I absolutely love it. The quality is outstanding and it looks beautiful too. A big thank you to Allegro Music, particularly Ben who enabled me to have my piano delivered before Christmas. Any questions I had were all answered and I recommend anyone paying a visit to Allegro if they are thinking of buying a musical instrument. Many thanks.

I have just purchased the Clarinova CVP-909B from Allegro music, and firstly what a wonderful and enchanting instrument. I could not be happier and the CVP-909 is worth every Penny and more. Whether you’re an experienced pianist or like in my scenario, a family of beginners you won’t be disappointed. I first contacted Allegro music making enquiries relating to this particular model and Ben was happy to answer all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable along with being both polite and patient with my ignorance of higher level pianos. Ben advised me of the long waiting list from Yamaha and explained the circumstances behind this delay. Ben also advised me that they currently had a CVP-909B in stock that an existing customer had purchased in error due to colour, and this brand new and unused instrument was offered to me at a discounted and unbelievable price. An accessory package was also included along with the relevant information that guaranteed and reassured me that this was a brand new instrument at a once in a lifetime price. Ben ensured the transaction was effortless and informative. Both Ben and Chris worked tirelessly together to get my instrument delivered safely to me home address and at a time that suited me due to my difficult work duties. When instrument arrived, it was well protected and brand new as described and I was well impressed how courteous and professional both Chris and his assistant presented themselves. Piano was installed and setup accordingly and any questions I had answered professionally. Good work Allegro music, I am well impressed by every aspect of this transaction and look forward to future engagements. Five stars every day !!

Very friendly service. Generous trade in values, speedy delivery/collection and important long warranty period. A rare breakdown occurred on a previous model over 4 years in. Collected, major repair and returned within a couple of weeks at no cost. Wouldn’t want to use any other company for my electronic instruments.

I have been so pleased with my purchase of a digital piano from Allegro Music. Everyone was so patient, as I wasn’t too sure what I was looking for initially, and there was never any pressure to buy. I loved hearing the pianos being played as I was choosing. I feel I paid a fair price for my purchase and also feel confident that if I had any issues I could return to Allegro. ( I haven’t had to do this ! ) Delivery was included and all went smoothly. I am so pleased with my piano and I can honestly say it’s even better than I could have hoped for. Thank you.
