“I have recently purchased my second tyros from Allegro Music. Over the last 15 years or so I have also purchased 2 Technics organs and two other keyboards from Allegro Music. All the staff I have met over this time have a deep knowledge of what they sell and will advise whether or not you are there to make a purchse. Over the last two years I have been using the Tyros 4 then Tyros 5 keyboards. Jo Cocklin is the person to ask for help ,advice and information. This lady has a lot of patience and is clearly dedicated to her job. The Tyros keyboard manuals don't do their repective keyboards they come with justice. I suppose if they did they would be a lot bigger and costly than they are. Jo must have realised this quite early on and has set up what she calls the Tyros club which has locations in the three areas the shops are located. The club's purpose being to help Tyros owners (new or experienced) to discover what you can actually do with them that their manuals don't explain well or not at all. Through going to these meetings every other month Jo gives talks on what the club members want to know or are confused about. It does seem that these keyboards are as good as your imagination will let them. Ron (Sudbury)”

“I purchased my Technics in October 2014 and have been very pleased with it. Delivery was made exactly as promised and my lessons since then with Annette have been very enjoyable and I feel I am making progress. All the staff that I have come into contact with have been very helpful and whenever I arrive for my lessons greet me sincerely and also say goodbye. This creates a very trusting atmosphere and a place where you can enjoy going. I do talk about Allegro to my friends and give my good opinion.”

“I purchased an electric piano from Allegro in 2012 for my son to start piano lessons at school. I found the staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable and there was no hard sell. We debated between pianos and visited the store on a few occasions. When we came to a decision, the sale was conducted smoothly and the piano was delivered at the date/time agreed and installed by two very friendly and helpful gentlemen. I have had no problems with the piano. I decided myself to have lessons at Allegro and have been having weekly lessons with Annette Ward, which have been enjoyable. Annette is an excellent and extremely patient teacher. The staff at Allegro are always friendly and it must be a great place to work as I see the same happy faces every week!”

“I purchase a second hand Pian and had a problem with one of the pedals sticking, they quickly rectified this by sending out an engineer, it was probably something taht could have occurred in transit. From that point on its been very good.”

“I have been having keyboard lessons for a few years now with Allegro, for short time at the beginning with Peter, then thereafter with Annette, and have found Her very helpful and instructive, and very pleasant and encouraging. Likewise, the Staff in the shop have always been very helpful and pleasant, always service with a smile!”

“The Allegro Music Shop has a good selection of instruments and music and is a great place to browse. I have purchased firstly a keyboard and later a digital piano. I also buy music regularly. At all times the staff are friendly and very helpful. I much prefer the atmosphere of a shop rather than searching on line. I also have the advantage of keyboard lessons at the shop.”

“I was asked to do a review of the web site by Annette. I think the HOME screen is very compact and busy, why overlay onto a larger back drop. Use more of the space to prevent user from having to scroll down. Not all your sub screens have a HOME icon, therefore no quick way to get back to HOME screen. This is very prominent when you get to the Training Academy. Also the CUSTOMER REVIEW tab on linear ribbon is faulty, no page available, but you can get to the reviews by using one of the vertical ribbons in later screens. Could give a poor image. Within the Training Academy it asks what centre you want e.g. Chelmsford, when you get there and you select what instrument you want to learn, it asks you at what centre. Maybe its me, but ask what instrument then what centre. Otherwise don't give choice when user goes the 'Centre' page - hope this makes sense. The overall website gives a lot of information and therefore is great, graphics etc. are very good. Liked using it, just sort out the navigations bits (maybe a bit more testing of the links etc) Hope this is helpful,”

“I purchased a guitar for my Grandson from Allegro Music and the so staff where extremely knowledgeable, professional and helpful. I also visit the Chelmsford shop on a weekly basis for a piano lesson and it's a pleasure as the staff are so welcoming. Annette my piano tutor, I can't praise enough. She has a great gift as a music teacher. She has lots of patience and makes the lesson very enjoyable.”

“People there are friendly, helpful and approachable. There is all the music paraphernalia you need and if not they will advise you on where to get it or get it for you. I love my music lessons there. I have met some wonderful students, the very young, the not so young and even those in between. The teachers are helpful and friendly and put you at ease. Allegro the place to go.”

“The piano has featured in the life of my family and for many years I have wanted to learn to play. Having summoned sufficient courage to approach Allegro, I found the staff in their shop most helpful and approachable and my piano teacher amazingly patient and very encouraging. I very much wish I had started to learn the piano a lot earlier and thoroughly enjoy my lessons. I would recommend Allegro to anyone wishing to pursue music.”

“Andy and the team have been really helpful and friendly giving us advice to set up our U3A Ukulele group. Their knowledge has helped many of our group pick the right instrument, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. You never feel pushed into any purchase and have the time to make the right choice.
