By far the worst insurer I've had. Buying the policy in the first instance was a hassle - Adrian Flux wait until after you have bought and paid for the policy to then ask you to give them documentary evidence for just about everything (NCB/time driving/driving license num/shoe size etc). Had they asked for all this up front before selling me the policy I would have just chosen the next cheapest insurer, as I expect they know most people would, hence waiting until they have your money to spring this. They seem to employ exclusively teenage chavs on their phone lines unable to depart from a call script - or at least this has been my experience on each of the four occasions I have telephoned. Sold vehicle and cancelled policy after less than five months, and Adrian Flux insist that no money is repayable (most other insurers who I have been with in this situation refund at least part of the premium). Teenage chav on the phoneline did however note that even though they would not refund, the policy could be "transferred" to another vehicle. After waiting on the phone for best part of half an hour to arrange transferring to another vehicle, teenage chav came back saying additional charge for transferring policy to other vehicle would be almost £700, despite Adrian Flux themself only charging £250 for a brand new 12 month policy on that vehicle. Overall, the most unhelpful and unprofessional insurer I have come across. Even if slightly cheaper up front, not worth the hassle. I will not be using again.

polite staff and helpful....but the flux score/blackbox is a recipe for disaster, my son picked up speeding just turning into carparks constantly even though he was sticking to speed limit, this triggered 3 strike system which isn't strikes its emails with "Cautions your flux score was negative yesterday " ....he got 3 of which some were inaccurate anyway as some of the driving was shown in a field!!!!! i have had a response on trust pilot but not holding my breath, he did break the rules a few times but avoid this fluxscore system as its impossible for anyone to drive to the level they expect. one example was when he got a red flag was a road from 40 down to 30 which has speed cameras and i was in the car hes adhered to the reduction in speed but flagged speeding...got told it takes a reading every 100yd so thats obviously the problem...it inaccurate...no hes got no transport until i find a good company....you live and learn!

Been royally ripped off. A non fault accident claim (never in dispute, and the other drivers insurers had agreed to pay for the damage to my car) overlapped the renewal of my insurance. Adrian Flux advised that as it was effectively unsettled they would insure me as if I was at fault and reimburse me when it was settled. So after I had repeated assurances that they would fully reimburse me, I accepted a massive hike in renewal fee of about £800. A few weeks later the claim was settled so I was looking forward to a nice premium return. I received a couple of hundred back. My request for a proper refund of the excess was met with "your premium has gone up this year". Absolute thieves in my opinion. I'd give then a minus number of stars in the review if I could.

LEARNER DRIVER INSURANCE Do not take out insurance with this BROKER, I wanted a couple of months cover for my daughter to drive her own car in between driving lessons, I told the guy she had her test booked in a couple of weeks, (she failed the first but passed second time) they knew perfectly well she would not require an annual insurance but still quoted £373.70. I was not made aware they were brokers neither was I informed that there would be multiple cancellation fees and deductions. Therefore this policy was MIS SOLD After 66 days of cover £188.45 was deducted, this includes Trinity Lanes (the insurance company) cancellation fee of £28.00. From this refund Flux deducted their commission of £22.22 and £30 cancellation fee. Leaving my daughter with £72.23 refund the cost of 66 days cover was £301.67 which equates to £4.57 a day and not the 85p a day as they claim on their web site. At no time when I took this policy out did the operator mention a short term monthly policy •Cover can be taken out on a month-by-month basis, so learners only pay for the cover they need before passing their test. quote taken from their web page I am now having to chase them for the refund

I recently insured my classic Daimler which has an LPG conversion with Adrian Flux. All seemed to be straight forward, surprisingly, as I even asked if the LPG conversion was an issue and if there would be any complications with the insurance to which they replied there would be no problem, they would just make a note of it, so I insured with them for the competitive sum of £125. However, after returning from holiday which did take me over the 14 day cooling off period, I was presented with an LPG declaration form requiring details of registration and an LPG certificate which my vehicle does not have. I contacted Adrian Flux only to receive an extremely negative response. I clearly stated that at no time was I advised that this was needed and required for this policy especially as I did query the LPG conversion during the initial call. They told me I should have automatically known that they would need this and hence they could do nothing about it. Their attitude on the phone was arrogant, uncaring and very dismissive. During much of the call to query / complain, I was spoken over and not listened to. Not only that, but as I decided to cancel my insurance with them, they then told me I would only receive £3 back as this was the refund after administration costs etc even though the policy was only about 3 weeks old. They were also now telling me that this was the amount due back from the £70 which was the insurance premium - the additional £55 I paid was their fee!! In other words, the premium was £125 unless you wish to cancel or claim some back for whatever reason and then it is £70! I told them that this figure was definitely never disclosed to me at all which they totally denied. I am a very enthusiastic classic car owner and user and consequently have used a few classic car insurers for my 5 very different cars over many years. I have never had any problems at all in the past and never experienced such poor customer service. I will NEVER return to or contact Adrian Flux ever again and I hope people reading this and the other bad reviews will do the same and indeed tell others. There are many other insurance companies /brokers out there so we can do without such poor service!

Advised I changed address, provided my payment details when called, then Adrian Flux simply cancelled my policy as I hadn't paid £77.03. I simply missed the letters about this charge (assuming they were confirming my address change),. If Adrian Flux Insurance hadn't failed in their admin and had taken the payment when they called me & I gave card details, this wouldn't have happened! End result I've lost 1/3 of my annual paid in full policy and I'm still being charged £77.03.

This company act in an unfair manner to the customer in a number of ways. 1) I was given a quote with a 400% increase on the premium when I changed my address to just down the road from where I lived. 2) The policy had only just been renewed when cancelled and they kept 50% of my payment in so called 'fees'. Totally unacceptable and referred to the FCA.

Had to cancel my policy within the 14 day cooling off period, i was charged £60 to cancel a £130 policy. Staff are just ignorant drones who couldn't care any less. Best of it was, she tried to sell me insurance for other things in the same phone call, talk about a slap in the face.

This company is a complete rip off,,, my son had a quote for a learner driver insurance (which is supposed to be their speciality) and was given a reasonably cheap quote,,he decided to open this policy online and paid £80 deposit,,7 days later they rang him and told him they are cancelling the policy because he value of the car wasnt right and gave him £8 refund,so basically ripped him off by £72,,such a disgrace as my son had saved money up for this insurance,,after calling them they still refused to give the full refund,,,AVOID AT ALL COST

Very disappointed. Set up policy, paying deposit. Answered a few more questions over the phone to which they then told me the policy needed amending and the premium increased. To add insult to injury they then kept my deposit, charged me a set up fee even though I was willing to pay the extra for the deposit and monthly amounts. Suffice to say I have decided not to set up s new policy with a company that treat customers with such contempt While being more concerned with stealing deposits than gaining loyal customers

Poor explanations of the policy and cost nearly £200 cancelation fee because I sold my car. Their monthly finance is a joke; they choose what suits them to charge per month so instead of 12 months of charges I had 9 months which massively bumps monthly payments. Their customer service upset my wife and made her think we owed them £1000 but it turned out it was just a £200 fee. They went on telling us we must pay the whole amount off to cancel; essencially saying hey ill cancel but ill just give you 10 months worth of insurance and have my policy cancelled.... As from reading the fee quickly changed! These are scam artists. This is the second encounter with these ( second chance) and again was double barrel shot down.... These are the worst company I have ever encountered to date. I will NEVER use this company EVER again! I recommend searching yourself its less hassle and you wont get ripped off!

Adrain Flux have cancelled my 17 year old sons policy of insurance for allegedly travelling over the speed limit, most of the alleged breaches occurred on private roads which are not adopted by the Highway and are situated in the gated community cul-de-sac where he lives). Despite repeated requests the Adrain Flux has failed to specify on what dates he allegedly drove over the speed limit (and have in fact changed the dates, times and roads, on which they have made their decision to cancel, on two occasions). We are therefore at a loss to understand what he has actually done. We have asked for the routes he was supposedly on at the time and after much badgering they provided 3 google maps which make no sense at all. The guided routes given do not even follow the line of the road. One route suggests he was on a road that doesn't even exist in Blackburn, another suggests he was travelling on two roads at the exact same time at different speeds, and a further one suggests he had travelled from the A6077 to the M61 motorway in under a minute, when the roads are in fact 20 minutes apart from each other. In addition the Insurance Company divulged these unfounded breaches over the telephone to a third party who was neither named on the policy or was an interested party to these proceedings, causing my son significant upset and distress (and clearly in breach of the Data Protection Act). We have repeatedly asked Adrian Flux for the dates they are relying on to justify cancelling the policy and they have come back with different dates on two occasions. We also advised them over the telephone that the App (which is supposed to inform drivers with a black box of how they are driving) has not been working correctly. We have also asked them to provide details of which satellites were connected at the time of the alleged breaches in order that we can fully look into their accuracy with an independent expert, again they have refused to tell us. We have also asked them to confirm whether they have ever encountered problems with their Flux Score App or whether it has ever experienced technical failings (as ourselves and countless others on the above sites have never been able to access the App). Again, they have refused to tell us. As a result my son now has no Insurance and cannot now drive his car. No other Insurance Companies will touch him once we confirm he has had a policy of insurance cancelled, or the rare few that will are quoting nearly £5,000 a year to insure him which we simply cannot afford. My son is now limited to his choice of work and wanted to save money before going to University in September

Company gives minimum information on cover then uses your own uncertainty to add extra charges, deny you access to their website then cancel your insurance. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

My son had a black box . Told him it wasn't fitted properly. But still sending him warnings about his driving. Told him he has to pay 30 pound to replace it or insurance would be cancelled. So because he still getting warnings n praises about his driving he obviously thought it was still working. Resulted in his insurance being cancelled resulted in losing his job because of not being able to drive . After numerous contact with rubbish company and getting No Where this is my second review on here and can't reply to anyone. Rest assured this is being taken further as it's not fair and we are not the first to have this happen to them. Do not use this company they are rubbish !!! So could someone please answer me if not fitted correctly why was he still having feed back about the box ?

After I bought the van insurance I received a call from Adrian Flux to ask if I worked. I do an occasional job. I was told it would cost another £100 for commuting cover so I said I'd just use my other car. The caller then demanded I prove my car insurance covers me for commuting. I said that my car insurance was with another insurer. As I was not using my van to commute, my insurance arrangement with my car insurer was nothing to do with Adrian Flux. She continued to insist I send the proof. I sent it, under protest, with a complaint saying my arrangement with my other insurer had nothing to do with Adrian Flux. I got an email back to say they would respond to my query in 5 days. They didn't bother. I was then asked for proof of my pension income. I have never had any motor insurance company demand proof of my income. I telephoned to query this and was told the underwriter had asked for it. That was a lie. I rang the underwriters and they had not asked for proof of my pension at all. I again emailed Adrian Flux to complain that they lied about this, that there is personal information on my pension slip and the data protection act states they should only collect data if it is necessary. Also if they only collect income data from people on a pension this is discriminatory. Again I got an email to say they would get back to me in 5 days. Again they never bothered. Obviously Adrian Flux insurance deal with complaints about their procedure by ignoring them and hoping they will go away. Lying about the reason they are demanding personal information is unforgivable. I will never use Adrian Flux insurance again and I wish now I had not moved from my previous insurer The Post Office.

Took out insurance a few days ago, get a call today to say they had to cancel my insurance because my Facebook said I was a delivery driver! I explained that I haven't updated my job title because I rarely use it. They refused to believe me, or let me speak to a manager. On top of this they are keeping my deposit so I cannot get insurance elsewhere until payday. Appalling service 😡

"My son is 17 and has learned to drive. On his 17th birthday he searched for and insurer with a monthly payment option and found Adrian Flux, who offer learners "monthly policies" "from £1 per day" (on their website). 6 weeks after his birthday he passed his test and informed Adrian Flux they then cancelled his cover and informed him that her owed an additional £187.42 in addition to the two monthly payments of £68.01 and £49.89 (£305.32 for 6 weeks cover for a VW Polo 1.2!). I telephoned Adrian Flux on my son’s behalf, after being told that the policy sold to my son was an annual policy which had cancellation penalties they offered to reduce the additional sum demanded to £77.32 (or £195.22 for 6 weeks). This is far far far more expensive than the cost the website promotes and being annual and not monthly is not what a learner wants or needs. I believe Adrian Flux may be miss-selling learner policies and I may raise this problem with the "Financial Conduct Authority" (FCA) if my request for written clarification confirms this difficult situation."
