Absolutely appalling service. Paid £7.99 for next day delivery on their website on April 3rd. It’s now April 6th and it still hasn’t arrived. No tracking number on order confirmation and no phone number to contact them. Indifferent customer service on email. Have requested a refund as I can no longer use the voucher due to its lateness and have had no response. I should have read the shockingly bad reviews before I bought this ‘activity’

I've been trying to sort out a mistake I did with a email I can't get this sorted till Monday so I'm not happy so I'm trying to get this sorted as this is a gift and I've paid with PayPal I may need to have a refund and do it all again

Advertised a gourmet getaway overnight absolute joke. Nothing more than an average 3 course dinner. Reported to trading standards for misleading and false advertising

It difficult to find out the terms of the voucher. Details are not confirmed until purchase is complete. I contacted customer service to find out but did not receive clear information and was first told to complete the purchase first, after following up again I did receive some information confirming that the hotel could only be booked Sunday to Thursday, this information is not provided on the website or if it is, it it's not easily available. The voucher also stated that the hotel was for 1 or 2 nights stay, for all 5 hotels that I checked all were for 1 night. It's very difficult to know what is on offer and included with the voucher.

NEVER ANY AVAILABILITY Tried to book one of their driving experiences multiple times. Despite repeatedly trying to book the experience there was never any availability in a location within a reasonable distance to where I live despite extending my search area substantially. The voucher validity was extended after a payment but still I could not book the experience. I was advised by customer support to look in the North of the county which is hundreds of miles away from where we live. The company now refuse to extend the voucher again referring to their terms and conditions. Will not use them again and will not refer them to anyone.

Don’t waste your money The wife received a voucher from our son for Mother’s Day. Followed the instructions to register with the activation number and obtain the unique voucher number. This all went fine. Chose a venue for a lunch but then found out it was only available to use in the evening, as it would be a 100 mile round trip decided we did not want to do this. Contacted Activity Superstore who advised me what to do to choose alternative. Chose alternative venue for an afternoon tea and all seemed well until I received an email from Activity Superstore who advised me that my chosen venue would be closing for business before my chosen date and that I should choose an alternative. Chose an alternative venue for afternoon tea and was advised that I needed to book direct. Rang the venue to be advised that they did not recognise the voucher code and that I should contact Activity Superstore. Contacted Activity Superstore who said they would sort it out. Did not hear anything for a couple of weeks so rang the venue again who confirmed that no one had been in contact with them. I again contacted Activity Superstore who asked me to let them have suitable dates and they would sort it out for me. After almost 2 months no further response from Activity Superstore despite several chasing emails to which one only receives an auto response advising that they respond within 2 days. Unfortunately you cannot ring them and purely reliant on whether they decide to respond to an email. If you get an email response from either a Katie, Jaz, May or Millie don’t believe anything they tell you as it will be pure fiction. Happy to take the money but not provide the gift.

I bought this steam train and overnight hotel for two as a gift. Firstly they wanted to just send me an email instead of a gift pack. I requested a gift pack. We wished to extend the experience. Firstly I had to activate the voucher and that appeared to have been successful. I then emailed you to ask how I could extend the date. I received a reply and was told how to do so on the website. Firstly I was prompted to input my voucher code ( I was told it had already been activated) I ended up talking to an " agent " who told me my voucher hadn't been activated ( I resent being accused of being a liar) the agent then activated my voucher ( again) but didn't tell me to check my email for code. I finally got onto the extend section and the trip was in two parts, Hotel overnight stay and separate train trip. I ended up inputting my debit card TWICE! given the trip is one trip in two parts why was it separated into TWO? have I paid Twice to extend? That is outrageous as I have paid for one trip. You made a simple task difficult, confusing and I am NOT HAPPY with the whole process. I want to know if you have charged each part of the experience Twice? There was no information at time of booking that I would be charged x2 £20 as its your company who sell this experience. I was so upset that this was so stressful. I got so angry I almost threw this in the bin. You made a simple service so horrendous and unprofessional. I won't purchase anything else from you. Rachel Sapsford-Gee

Worst experience ever, once we redeemed our voucher we were passed to OMG hotels to organise booking, by far one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with, took them a year to organise a booking due to no availability, had to pay extra, then cancelled our booking the night before, was a present for my wife, still owe us money

Order Ref. 1496557: you have banked my money. You promised delivery on 3.1.25 (my dughter's birthday). This did not take place. Despite me asking 4 times for information, you have never replied. I am contacting you via this review because you won't reply. My daughter still has not got her birthday present and you have my money. Dont shop with Activity Superstore, They rip people off! They keep your money and don't give you what you have paid for and ignore your emails. This is what they have done on us and other people too i have now found out on the Internet.

Having issues with the booking. Have activation number but the voucher number appeared quickly then disappeared. Have emailed but got no reply, even though it promises response in 15 minutes.

Buying a gift from this company turned out not to be a good experience. There are 4 options to obtain the voucher for the gift. Email to the buyer, email to the recipient, posted to the buyer or posted to the recipient. Neither postage option are available when you actually come to buy. The 'buy now' button actally prevents you from selecting any option so I ended up with an email, which I didn't want. OK, I can still use it as a gift, but cardinal sin from the company; no reply from the emails I sent asking them to contact me. Let's hope the booking process goes well.

I booked a two night get away hoping to go away in 18 days time, after activating my voucher I then picked a hotel from the list provided from a site called use my gift. I then received an email to contact a company to book in my dates for the hotel after contacting the company that activity superstore told me to contact they said they can’t help me because they no longer have a contract with activity superstore, I’m now trying to contact customer support but no response as of yet. Hopefully they sort it out but I’m not sure I would use them again as I needed to book the hotel 2 weeks In advance and now there won’t be enough time

I am sorry to read that you have not received your E-vchr, as this was originally sent on 1st December. I have just resent it so please do check your junk /spam folders as well as your inbox, just in case. If it doesn't arrive we can either send it to a different email for you, or pop it in the post.

Claiming the gift can be a deliberately difficult and slow process. For me and my family we had to email the company with the gift-givers *credit card statement* to 'prove' their purchase; and the replies were so slow that the activity type we had committed to claim (just a *burger meal!) was unavailable by the time we had the required details. A request to extend the claim period by just a week was refused, and we were told that we would have to pay extra, just to make up for the delay in their admin! It's likely that their business model relies on making a profit from all the people that don't claim because of the inconvenient/unimpressive options and the hassle invoved in claiming. AVOID THIS COMPANY. Just take your friend out for a meal instead.

Thank you for your feedback Thomas. Please don't worry, we do not intentionally make anything difficult for our customers. I can see that your voucher was purchased from Primark. All of our Primark boxes state that they are not valid without a till receipt, unfortunately, you did not have this so we allowed you to still activate the voucher by displaying a bank statement showing the transaction. Unfortunately your voucher was due to expire on 1st December 2024, as printed on the voucher itself. Our terms and conditions state that you are welcome to adhere an extension to your voucher at cost of £20 for a further six-months validity. I specifically selected physical gift box the website has issues on my browser refreshed several times and checked out with digital version. I reached out and did not recieve a responce so have opened paypal dispute.

Experience options reduced to 1 on the other side of the country. Originally included a weekend option, now only available with a surplus. Asked customer support to assist in finding equivalent replacement as per T&C's but just awful. Every email responded to by a different person, no continuity, no desire to actually support. Basically a waste of money. Please use BuyaGift or alternative.
