“The Kala Ubass Solid Body bass ukulele seems to be a very good value bass especially at Ackerman's price. However although the delivery time was acceptable, the Ubass wasn't really playable on arrival. I suppose these days we have come to expect musical instrument retailers to check over and set up guitars and stringed instruments before delivery, unfortunately this was not the case in this instance. However having considerable experience in this field I was able to set up the action, pickup height and intonation but for anyone without the expertise and tools then it would have been a trip to a local luthier or disappoinment with the sound and feel of the bass. Whether the discounted price precluded any retailer set up, I don't know but the amount of work required would not have been covered by the discount at local luthier rates and I note that other retailers do state 'set up before delivery'. In summary, now the bass is set up correctly I am very pleased with the instrument's sound and playability. Good value (even with a set up charge).”

“I bought a Stentor violin for my daughter at Ackerman as they guarantee a quality control check and violin setup before the shipment. Unfortunately, the violin came with a decentralized fretboard. I was assured by Ackerman's customer service that the violin was indeed checked and probably was an issue due to the shipment. Luther or a teacher should be able to fix this kind of problem. Overall, daughter is very happy :)”

Hello there, Sorry to hear the instrument arrived with some damage. I can assure you it left here in perfect condition as every instrument is set up before being sent. “Prompt online ordering service. Easy to use ordering system. Delivery left on doorstep in the rain without knocking, even though we were at home. Fortunately, we found it a little while later, so the rain had not reached the music. Like the eco friendly packaging, but needs some waterproof lining to avoid damage.”
