Apologies if there was some confusion regarding the road tax. When we inform the DVLA that we have scrapped a vehicle, they issue a Certificate of Destruction that we forward on. If the road tax is paid monthly, the DVLA will refund from the next full month and cancel your DD, but It is always worth checking with your bank that the DD has been cancelled. You are not refunded for the month that the COD is issued in. Refund's are issued to the registered keepers name and address that is on the V5C (logbook) in the form of a cheque and can take up to 6 weeks from the date that the COD was issued. We are pleased that you were satisfied with the quick payment. We are always happy to advise on issues before, during and after a collection.
