phone & text conversations with excuses & promised deadline dates for delivery NOTHING HAS ARRIVED AFTER 5 WEEKS OR THE PROMISED REFUND if he was unable to supply. Now the voice mail is full & there is no response!”

“BE VERY CAREFUL. I used this service to source a new wheel. Gave the registration make and model of the car. Confirmed the tyre size on the phone. Wheel turned up the wrong size. 3 month guarantee, but refused refund as 'Nothing wrong with the wheel'. Uneconomic to return, so money down the drain.”

The nature of recycled spares is that they are not always available.
If after checking your emails or texts, you do not receive many quotes first time round, it's likely your parts were not widely available on that day.
With over 150 Breakers nationwide however, between them they are processing literally hundreds of additional vehicles every day.
So if you have not found the parts you need, you can log back into the site and re-send your request automatically.

It also depends on whether the parts are available and those in short supply, can sometimes come with a premium.
We try to find the best price and it may be worth repeating a request, a day or two later.

“Good service, received delivery next day but item was smaller they did collect it one day after I rang them. Everything was good with a1 allcars just since i returned the item i didnt get my money back until now. also when i ring them about sometimes they tell me they will come back but they never did. I had to ring again .”

“I purchase a gear box for my car from Altham Car Recyclers. It was duly delivered and fitted to my car. Having fitted the gear box my mechanic found that it was faulty beyond repair and had to fully remove it. This was all done at my expense. I called Altham, as did my mechanic, several times and we were both assured that the faulty gear box would be collected and returned to Altham. When, after some three weeks, I called again I was told that I would have to pay the transportation costs to return it. I explained that the item had already cost me a great deal of money and it would be more likely to be the responsibility of the supplier to pay further costs. It was at this point that we all suffered the Virus Lockdown and nothing was done until recently. I recently contacted Altham again explaining that the box was still languishing in the workshop of my mechanic and could we arrange for collection and refund. I was told that the guarantee period had expired, irrespective of the lockdown and that it was not likely that I would get any sort of refund. They did say that they would call me back on the matter, but never did.
Using your recommended supplier has cost me a small fortune and I will think very hard about using your service again and I will advise others in the same way.”

“Avoid.
Ordered a part over the phone and been told that they will send me some photos once part is out of a different car. Took money off of me straight away, 4 days later found out they have never send the part because they dont have it! No emails no phone calls to at least tell me whats what. Waste of time.”
