I was looking to buy a passenger door for a Vauxhall Astra and the advice from Liam Westlake was exceptional, from the ‘phone conversation, emails and pictures, expert knowledge. Very reasonable price and the packaging was first class, even the mechanic passed a comment on that.”

“Quick enough to flood me with door offers but I foolishly went with the first one that rang - he was charging nigh on double the price of later offers I received but I had already committed so I paid the money. Firstly the guy on the phone said he would remove the faulty trim before he despatched the door to me - he did not do that. Secondly, I booked the car into a bodywork repair garage to have the door fitted only to be told after it was fitted that it was ‘bowed’ to the point the practitioner could put his fingers into the gap meaning the rain would also come in. I paid to have the door fitted, removed, and the old door fitted back on. I contacted the vendor who ignored numerous emails from me. The door was taken from outside of my property so I can no longer return it but I had already gathered that once they had my money they were not interested in doing an honest and fair trade. The door was not fit for purpose and I am £176 out of pocket (the cost of the door and the cost of the repair workshop). Disgusting - would not use first choice again.”
