“Ordered a gearbox from this company, toyota advised that gearbox they sent was useless as it had a bolt thread completely hacked off. The company advise that part was road tested before irs sent out. Toyota said this couldnt have been and the seller knew that. Seller wont answer my calls now... ive waited over a week for refund of over £900 and had constant promises re proof of refund payment ignored. Shocking company not to be trusted Stay Away!!
Trading standards have been contacted and action fraud.”

“location of my required part found at Prestige Allparts.
Called and confirmed user manual was correct for my car, i ordered and paid for it.
It was due in 3 days, one week later after a few calls it was now not available but still looking for it. 2 weeks down the line still waiting for a response.”

It also depends on whether the parts are available and those in short supply, can sometimes come with a premium.
We try to find the best price and it may be worth repeating a request, a day or two later.

“Absolute rip off... sold me a faulty part. Noticed the same week I bought it. I have been calling and they promised to get a part an call me back on two occasions now. Tom never called me back... ignore my call now on themin number and dont respond when you message through their site. Still chasing now and will lose out because I will have to pay to have the part fitted again as well as a new part. Not longer before I come site to sort this out now lads!!!”

“Think that Ist Choice should check the spares dealers that they use. To be fair when I complained about Cosmos Auto parts they did contact them . That was the last I heard even though I sent a picture and video of a completely useless part that was sent out late by Cosmos. I got my money back but would not use or recommend to others.”

“Got gear box as described within 2 days. Driver couldnt get it off wagon because it was on pallet not suitable for pallet truck .he had to smash pallet. Found garage to fit it. Replaced all oils etc. Started up was going straight into limp reverse and 2 nd gear . Drove it home in 2nd gear this has since changed to 2 nd to 3 rd changing fault where it gives a horrendous rev and either goesinto limp mode or some times changes not impressed, cost me £350 +£80 for oil.rang mjm to ask why and was told the person who test drove doner vehicle would ring me back. Sill waiting ,what i expected ibought this box because it was tested and guaranteed knowing cost is inhibitive to remove and return .been told 3rd gear clutchshot .I will have to live with it.till such times i can get something else. “Utterly useless, even when I got a response saying a company had the part, I would contact them directly and the did not have the part.
This happened on several occasions wasting my time and money, save yourself the pain and look for the breakers directly.”

The nature of recycled spares is that they are not always available.
This is especially so for rarer car models from ten years ago. The amount of such vehicles being broken for spares will be small, and getting smaller as time goes on.
If after checking your emails or texts, you do not receive many quotes first time round, it's likely your parts were not available on that day.
So if you have not found the parts you need, you can log back into the site and re-send your request automatically. Our enquiry service is free to use online.
