“As you have asked - in truth it was okay - the reputation of Wagyu I was hoping for better than the week before, which I had steak from morrisons (pre-packed) which was better - (different cut in truth) biltong again okay but I am often in South Africa so you are up against it. the Lardo I think I didn't use correctly?? - it doesn't dissolve like a goose fat but it turned into part a wet pork scratching and some liquid fat juice? - so all in all okay wasn't a winner this time but will maybe try some other cuts in the future. thanks Jamie”

“HI ENJOYED VERY MUCH THE WONDERFULL SUCKLING PIG 10/10 ALSO THE VEAL MINCE HOWEVER. NOT AT ALL HAPPY WITH VEAL CHEEKS. YOUR DESCRIBTION OF BEING ABLE TO EAT WITH A SPOON!!! DONT THINK. SO THE MEAT CONTENT WAS SO LOW DUE TO VEINS/GRESILYUC. INTO. THE BIN SORRY NEVER AGAIN.”

Michael - What a shame you didn't enjoy the veal cheeks ... we would never put such a description up on the website if we hadn't experienced it ourselves ... or had favourable previous reviews... really unfortunate that you didn't get the same result. We also sell large amounts into a Greek Restaurant in London who can't get enough of them, so we really don't know what to comment. It does involved a really long slow braise and the small amount of white tissue you describe that is within the cheeks (not veins) does usually cook out. However, luckily the suckling pig turned out really well for you and you seem pleased with the mince. Thanks for the feedback.

“Ordered Veal, sausages, black pudding and Wagyu burgers and it has all been delicious! Due to the Covid crisis delivery took over 7 days but that was totally understandable and it ended up being delivered before the estimated date. Very good communication and packaged really well big thumbs up!”

“Excellent products and service. Robust iced packaging, keeping everything fresh. The meats I bought were delicious and reminded me of the type of proper meat you used to get in the old days at the butchers. No horrible white fat just good old traditional fayre. Brilliant.”
