“I have purchased pork, duck and chicken recently- all frozen. They arrived still frozen and all products were exceptional But I did not get notice of delivery from the courier company (which could have been problematic if I hadn’t been in)”

“I’ve recently discovered Alternative Meats as I’d been looking hard for a decent local butcher. I bought a family box and recently cooked and ate their Porcetta. Incredible flavour and 1st class crackling. I can’t wait to try the pork belly and wagu beef! 10/10.”

“Expected "milk fed", Veal to be pink. Actual was more like a Cow Steak and tough to eat”

Hello John, Firstly we do not sell ‘Milk-fed Veal, we sell British Rose Veal. As it states in the description on our website, they are reared on straw, which they naturally use to ruminate, and given a cereal ration to supplement their diet, which means that the meat is a pink colour, not the pale, insipid milk-fed veal which may be familiar to those of you who have travelled on the Continent. As with all our customers if you ever have a problem with any of our products we welcome you getting in touch as feedback from our customers helps us to provide the best produce we can. We have a traceability system that allows us to work with our suppliers if a problem ever arises but, on this occasion, you didn’t give us an opportunity to put this right for you. We supplied the same batch product to a restaurant and they haven’t had any problems at all so we are at a loss as to why your Rose Veal Cutlets were tough.
