Trust Pilot will allow anyone to write a false review which is not based on fact or actual events. By publishing fake negative reviews they themselves are complicit in that activity and therefore condone spurious reviews.
The system could be so much easier if they had some way of verifying a customer's experience (they do - by asking for an invoice number). The issue with this is ANYONE can add your business to their site and the onus is on YOU to 'claim' it. By then the review has been live and Trustpilot will not remove it.
