I completed the Dolomites traverse in September and the whole trip was a joy from start to finish. The organisation by Salamander was excellent throughout and our guide, Jasmin, was outstanding. Jasmin is a native of the Dolomites and her knowledge of the area was comprehensive. Unfortunately we had to change plans on a couple of days due to snow on the higher ground but Jasmin continually reviewed the situation and, where possible, gave us options. This also involved some changes to our accommodation but the team at Salamander worked hard together to make sure that none of this impacted our enjoyment of what was a wonderful holiday. Jasmin continually updated us on the status and offered her expert opinion on the best choices with safety being her prime consideration. She led with patience, kindness and always a smile.
