We went to lowes to buy a granite countertop. Rep told us pay $600 for a deposit and the remainder due upon completion of work. Just now informed that policy has changed. Obvious rep didn't get the training. Now we have to pay remainder of balance before any work will be done. If we don't like we can go elsewhere but they keep our deposit. We would have never agreed to paying 100% of a construction project before any work is done. That is very foolish. But looks like we have no choice now. Don't do business with lowes for installations. Paying up front for labor will get you burned often.
