Ordered a replacement lead with in-line mic and remote for Bose overhead earphones. Apparently a genuine replacement part, once received it was obvious the lead was nowhere near the quality of the original and it also didn’t have a mic/remote. I got a small piece of paper with the lead that had some Bose info on it but I would expect proper packaging for a genuine part rather than loosely packed in a bubble envelope, this lead was a lot thinner than what is was supposed to replace. It may be genuine but there was no real proof of that (I don’t consider a small rectangle of paper with the Bose web address enough).
So l’ve had to pay for tracked postage to send back an item they sent out which was wrong asking for a refund which I Hope will be given without fuss.
UPDATED REVIEW
After speaking to home av direct they have said they will happily send out a new lead with the remote and mic, they have said they will refund the cost of the postage to return the wrong lead and they also explained why the cable was not of the same quality (basically it’s cheaper and thinner because it didn’t have the mic/remote) but it’s still genuine Bose just a cheaper option of lead from the company.
Hopefully all will be fine with the correct lead.
They had emailed me, the chap read it out but unfortunately I never received it in any of my folders strangely.
Good customer service from the person I spoke to after the initial mistake.
