There has been a mistake concerning my last transaction. I was contacted when I was abroad, by email saying they had no record of £10000 which I meant to be transferring to them at the end of April.
This obviously caused me to worry that I hadn't transferred £10000 correctly and had inadvertently paid it to someone else by mistake.
However after phone calls it appears they had expected a second sum of £10000 from me.
The clerk who had organised the transfer of £10000 from sterling to euros had, it would appear, mistakenly done this twice.
I am now back in the uk and
I am expecting, on his return from his holiday, an explanation and an apology.
