“Lea Roberts is a brilliant comedian!! He brought the house down at Warrington Golf Club’s annual Sportsman’s Dinner last week. Funny from minute one and everyone in our sell out crowd loved him!! He was making a return visit and it was all new material. We’d have him back in a heartbeat. Fabulous - thanks Lea!!!”

“Gary Marshall - not impressed at all, very poor performance, jokes not appropriate for the audience didn't read the reactions of the audience. Very poor feedback from customers at the event. Would not recommend.”

Whilst we always appreciate honest and constructive feedback, with regards to this event, Gary was requested by you, having been seen at a previous event and decided his material was perfect for this event. You also tried to book him directly, as you were determined to only secure him. This highlights how the response to a comedian can vary per event and it is imperative to consider how timings and the nature of the event can impact audience response. This was a long, wet golf day, when after the presentation, food and announcements were made, many in the audience were keen to depart and as is often the case, are tired and weary. As a result, their engagement is not as focused as with other types of event. Gary was happy with the performance under the circumstances, and the feedback on the evening suggested so. This review surprised everyone here and I would urge you to speak to whoever recommended Gary based on their experience of seeing to understand where the conflict is. We feel this is a unjustified review and would ask you to revise this.

“We have again used After Dinner Speakers & Comedians for our annual Sportsmans Dinner with Peter Beardsley and Martin Gold as our guests this year. The whole booking process was so easy with friendly knowledgable staff and the actaul event was a great success. Peter Beardlsey was amazing arriving early so he could mix and talk to all our guests and his speach was excellent told from the heart and very honest which everyone loved. Peter had photos and signed autographs for everyone which not all celebrities do. Martin Gold finished the night off with his excellent comedy which was perfect for a mixed audiance of men and women of all ages. 10/10 Brillaint night.”

“Paul Sinha was the guest compere for the British Parking Awards 2024, a gala lunch and ceremony held in London. Paul was a simply brilliant. He was fantastically funny, delivering an inventive, engaging, even edgy performance which wowed the audience. He then marshalled the awards ceremony in partnership with our Voice of God, Roger Tilling, who had a great rapport. Paul was a consummate professional, right through from the initial briefing, during a thorough rehearsal and then after the event, when he made time to meet and chat to attendees, pose for selfies and share in the celebrations. What an amazing host.”

“Pete Emmett never disappoints, although his material perhaps could do with refreshing (one of our guests commented that they had heard the same storoes for the last three years, however they were still funny). Pete was the perfect compare and kept the evening alive with his dry wit and audiance participation but importantly organised the order of the events more efficiently.”

“Some years ago i used After Dinner Speakers and Comedians to book speakers and comedians for various dinners and social events that I was organising for Bolton Hospice. Recently I had need for a comedian for a Masonic Dinner event where I was expecting some 85 guests. Having had excellent service in the past I went back to After Dinner Speakers and Comedians with my requset for a comedian. Even though this was fairly short notice I was offered a choice of three comedians which included Martin Gold. As I had booked Martin in the past I immediately made him my choice and confirmed this with ADS & C. The whole booking process was simple and quick with email confirmation being received in good time for me to publicise who our comedian would be. Many of our potential guests already had experience of Martin's act so I am delighted to say that bookings doubled almost overnight. On the night Martin joined us for dinner, which I am sure he enjoyed, and it was good to chat with him in an easy and relaxed manner. As we expected Martin did a very well received spot where I believe all present enjoyed his presentaion and style. Unlike several other comedians Martin's act is totally clean, which our guests really appreciated. At the end of the night we received many plaudits about the evening and especailly about Martin. Would I book Martin Gold again - most certanly! Would I use After Dinner Speakers And Comedians again - most certainly!”
